The Invincible Full-Moon System

Chapter 1353 Decoy Party and Luring

News about the peril on the other side of the Elpida Alliance reached even Ratmawati City.

President Sebrof received the news through a private communication line, he was sitting in his office, and waved away the holographic interface in front of him. He had read the entire message and what the higher-ups of the Elpida Alliance wanted him to do.

At the end of it, he exhaled roughly before tapping on a holographic button on his table.

Once he did, his secretary came inside.

"You need me, president?"

"Bring Richard here, it's an emergency"

"I'll contact his people right away"

Several minutes passed as the secretary went to do her task.

President Sebrof calmed his stress by lighting up a cigarette while viewing the cityscape.

But the door was once again knocked before the cigarette wasn't half-done, his secretary came back and quickly informed, "His people said Sir Richard is busy and could not come, they are suggesting a meeting next morning"

"God damn it!" President Sebrof cursed, his patience thinning. "Call him here right now!"

Startled, the secretary quickly called once again.

President Sebrof very rarely burst like this so she was flustered.

Each ring in her earpiece made her heart pounded harder, she was praying that the person on the other side would answer. But the rings continued for a bit longer, until it was cut off, the call was not answered.

Slowly, the secretary turned towards the impatient president and hesitantly shook her head.

It was only then did the veins of fury rose to President Sebrof's face.

He instantly grabbed his suit—and headed to the door with wide strides, storming out of the office and even slamming the door behind him. From the outside of the building—a streak of red lightning shot from the rooftop, disappearing into the night sky.

Nearby, in the business district of sector 2, outside of a six-star hotel.

Several platoons of soldiers—clad in Elpida Alliance's advanced combat armor could be seen all around the hotel, protecting and keeping the surroundings safe. All of their weapons were poised in their hands to shoot anything they deemed threats.

Even then, the place was crowded, there was a party at the top-most floor of the hotel.

Expecting another uneventful night, the soldiers were at ease.

But that quickly changed when their radar spotted a surge of mana nearby, a blinking red dot flashed on the screen as something was approaching them at near-high hypersonic speed, it sliced through the sky in an instant.

Realizing this, two powerful soldiers channeled their mana and flew skywards.

Both of them were aiming to intercept this approaching figure.

Considering the lack of ninth-rank realms of this caliber in Ratmawati City, there were only a few individuals who could be moving at such a speed. Both of them are Cessation Knights—the red color of their combat armor shows their high-rank status.

Peering at the approaching red lightning in the distance, the two frowned.

It was definitely President Sebrof.

"What should we do? We can't possibly stop him from barging inside"

"No, we could. Sebrof wouldn't have the guts to go through us, Cessation Knights"

Confident, the Cessation Knight on the right moved, using a water surf to glide in the air, and stood in the path, between President Sebrof—and the hotel. His aura exploded, showing that he was also of the ninth-rank realm.

"Stop right there!" He shouted, pointing his gun toward the streak of red lightning.

Despite his display, the red lightning didn't slow down.

Realizing this, the Cessation Knight sweated a little but he stood his ground.

"President Sebrof! Stop! Or else I'll be forced to shoot!" He shouted again, this time louder.

But as opposed to achieving what he wanted, he received the opposite instead.

"Out of my way!!"

Blitz!

President Sebrof roared and charged through the Cessation Knight, his momentum crashed against the poor soldier and sent him crashing down like a shooting star. His water surf was destroyed by the red lightning.

Fueled with nothing but anger, President Sebrof blasted his way through the hotel.

He shattered the window walls of the topmost floor and landed inside.

Not expecting his sudden, violent appearance, the people who were partying and drinking to their hearts' content yelped and screamed in surprise, those who were near where President Sebrif landed got blasted away, slamming onto other people.

Most of them were Awakened so none of them died from the crash.

Even if they were, President Sebrof didn't care.

"Richard! Come out, right now!" He thundered, sweeping his wrathful gaze at the crowd.

Realizing that the music was still playing—President Sebrof pointed at the DJ, and shot a red lightning strike from his index finger, destroying the entire deck and shutting down the music—highlighting the dead silence of the entire floor.

Once again, he swept his furious gaze to the crowd, causing them to shudder.

President Sebrof's eyes were crackling with red lightning viciously.

He was so furious that his element was going on a rampage.

"I said, come out, RIGHT NOW!!"

Blitz!

Just as his aura exploded once again, the Cessation Knight reached the floor quickly.

All of them surrounded President Sebrof and created a barrier to block his rampaging aura.

Some of them pointed their elemental guns, engraved with an elemental rune.

If President Sebrof made another reckless move, they would open fire.

Upon seeing this, President Sebrof sneered—before out of nowhere, five figures materialized right behind the Cessation Knights. All of them came out of their invincibility and also pointed their weapons at the Cessation Knights' neck.

Black Hands, these people are Black Hands that worked under President Sebrof's security.

Despite their relationship, King John and he had a breakthrough in circumstance.

Since the Cessation Knights' equipment was focused on energy, they could not sense these Black Hands that had no energy. It was an innate ability, a gift from birth that was enhanced through serums, their powers are unlike Awakened.

Realizing that they were pinned, the Cessation Knights stand down.

Just then, a woman from the crowd wearing a tight one-piece dress stepped forward.

She decided to speak up as the situation might escalate if she didn't.

President Sebrof turned towards her and raised his eyebrow, "Where's Richard?"

"He's not here," She replied which immediately made the Cessation Knights shoot a glare at her. Even then, she continued, "Richard left somewhere, several days—after he arrived, and the hotel kept the party going every day. He was never here"

Upon hearing this, President Sebrof was stunned, his expression froze.

His phone in his pocket then suddenly rang and he picked it up—it was his work phone.

"What is it? I'm busy right now"

"President, Lord Gelmar has sent news that some soldiers claimed to be sent by you visited him and tried to assassinate him. I only received the news from the Great Barricade's leader—he was late to report because he tried to resolve it himself"

"What...?"

Receiving the news, President Sebrof turned towards the Cessation Knights in disbelief.

He looked at them with a deadpan gaze, realizing that he had been tricked.

Gritting his teeth, he grabbed a Cessation Knight by the neck and lifted him up.

"Where is he?!" He roared, demanding an answer.

All this time he thought Richard was a man who took pleasure in the entertainment of life, the non-stop party was a testament to that. But he was wrong—Richard made this place a decoy to trick him.

Just as he did that, the door on the side was suddenly opened.

"Woah... what's going on here?" A figure walked inside, wiping his wet hands with a cloth.

President Sebrof glanced at the figure and realized that it was Richard.

Smiling nonchalantly, Richard approached the scene in a very relaxed manner, "I was taking a dump, and could not address the commotion in time, I apologize—it was my mistake" He said cheekily. "So, what do I owe the pleasure of this unexpected visit?"

Looking at him, President Sebrof was shocked.

It was the same with the woman who told him that Richard was never here, this was a shock.

"What games are you playing, Richard...?" President Sebrof muttered gravely.

...

A couple of days passed.

It was near nighttime in the territory of the Dark Elf Kingdom.

For some reason, the air was becoming hotter instead of colder as it got closer to the night.

Nocturnal living beings or not—the change in the air was felt evidently and as a result—most of the mutated animals with a better sense of danger, hid inside their nests, very reluctant to come out, and decided to skip hunting for today specifically.

But even then, at three different places, there was a loud commotion.

Crash!!

"Mother of Dark Nature, help me survive this! I beg you, Mother!"

"I don't think praying is the answer right now! Run!"

"Captain, I wouldn't be like this if you listened and plucked the quills around the main one"

"If we plucked the small quills, it'd ignore us so I thought pulling that one was a good idea"

"Good idea? We're told to lure it not make it hate us!"

A pair of Dark Elves could be seen charging through the forests in a hurry.

Kicking the sides of the mutated black panther they were riding, they picked up their pace— but were startled when they heard a roar, from behind. The Dark Elf Captain, wearing an eye patch looked over his shoulder.

His eyes then widened when he saw a massive mutated hedgehog appear.

It had long, deadly quills and was as big as a house.

Swoosh!

Just then, his eyes widened when the hedgehog's quills erected and fired to the sky.

Like missiles, the rock-like quills flew to the sky before descending down again.

"Incoming!" He shouted, telling the other Dark Elf as the two made a sharp turn, separating.

Each time the rock quill landed, the ground quaked from its devastating weight.

"We are going to die!" the other Dark Elf shouted from the other side.

He was completely fine but he was exaggerating.

Hearing this—the Dark Elf Captain roared, "Shut up and focus! I don't really want to die here! Let's get this thing to the rally point!"

Several miles from their location.

Another Dark Elf captain could be seen at the steep edge behind a waterfall, the other Dark Elves were a distance away from him—helping him suppress his aura to sneak inside a cave right behind the waterfall.

Peeking inside, he created a hand made of dark nature energy.

He elongates it and grabs ahold of something inside the cave, right beside a creature.

Upon firming his grip on it, he immediately yanked it.

Hugging a massive egg the size of his own body, the thing that he pulled, the captain didn't waste even a single second and sprinted outside. He leaped through the waterfall and went into the water.

"Fire! Fire! Now!" He shouted desperately.

HISS!!

A hissing sound thundered as a mutated snake with a skin of rock emerged.

Seeing this, the other Dark Elves stationed outside fired their arrows to buy the captain time.

Despite the barrage of arrows, none of them were able to pierce—the mutated snake's skin, not even its eyes were harmed by an arrow, directly striking them. All arrows bounced off of its body.

Nevertheless, the captain reached the edge before the snake submerged in the water.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

It was furious from having its egg taken from it like this.

Just like the two locations, another mutated animal was also disturbed by the Dark Elves.

Iris was the one who led the last location and she was in a way worst situation.

On her back was a mutated plant, heaving with electricity.

A mutated plan that exudes an intense amount of lightning aura.

Her mutated black panther was galloping hard underneath her, the battalion she was leading was following her from behind—closely. Glancing to her behind, she gritted her teeth, as she viewed the sight of a streak of lightning bouncing from tree to tree.

From the brief moment of pauses, the streak of lightning was a mutated animal.

A mutated hare to be exact and it was extremely fast.

Unlike the other Knights who were handled by the other battalions, this one is the strongest.

Even the surrounding trees were already influenced by its power, turning into lightning trees.

Despite their increased speed in the forest, the mutated hare picked—the other Dark Elves one by one, striking with great precision. Its favorite mutated plant was taken, and it wasn't going to let the Dark Elves go.

Iris, in particular, was its target.

"Your Majesty, I hope this is really enough or we're all doomed..." She whispered.

Three pseudo-tenth-rank realm Knights were coming to the rally point.

A glade, an opening of the forest that stretched wide.

Standing there were two figures, one restrained while the other was not.

Rex was standing there with his arms stretched to the side, looking at the darkening sky.
