Chapter 1918: Magtheridon

Lu Li and Water Fairy were doing the Nether Drake quests not only for the Mount reward but also because the quests were easy and fun.

They would often get on their flying mounts when attacking their enemies to exercise their flying skills.

The time they spent in the game was happy. Even during the Stronghold War, Lu Li wasn’t participating. Since there was no Fel Reavers knocking at the door, they could easily defend their Strongholds. Sky Moon even led an attack to take the second Stronghold in the Barrenlands from Gale Legion.

Seventh Heaven was the guild other than Ruling Sword that had a Fel Reaver but

unfortunately, they lost the second Stronghold in Hillsbrad Hills to Blood Red War Flag.

As such, anyone could see that this was actually a business deal. Blood Red War Flag now had two Strongholds in Hillsbrad Hills.

Seventh Heaven had surrendered the Hillsbrad Hills to them before turning to Desolace which had been defended by Majin Temple. With the Tirisfal Woodland occupied by the Brotherhood and the Un’Goro Crater that they had already owned, Seventh Heaven became a super club with three Strongholds.

However, they were still a little weaker than Ruling Sword. Ruling Sword occupied three Strongholds, but their Life Alliance also held one which made a total of four.

The other Strongholds were basically unchanged.

The new second Barrenlands Stronghold was assigned to Sky Moon. He would be responsible for defending it in future.

Of course, Lu Li’s advice to him was to sell the Stronghold and give half the money to the club and evenly distribute the other half to the players who participated in the battle.

It would be a total of a few million dollars, which was a huge sum.

This was how easy it was for rich people to make money. This strategy of inspiring players in the guild to take the Fel Reaver and make some money had been thought up by Wandering. He thought that this would make the poorer players of the guild explode with enthusiasm.

However, everything had its advantages and disadvantages. If this situation was not controlled properly, it would easily cause everyone to be more excited about taking new Strongholds and making money rather than keeping their old Strongholds.

Therefore, Lu Li imposed a condition. Anyone who had accumulated a certain amount of guild points would have the opportunity to follow Sky Moon to earn extra money.

After going into a battle, their points would be deducted according to a certain percentage and they had to re-accumulate enough points to go again. Not only would this stimulate everyone in the guild to earn points, but it wouldn’t make the money-making so easy for everyone.

After a few days of joy, Lu Li was pulled away into an Instance Dungeon once again.

They had been strategizing for Magtheridon’s Lair for many days and it was now time to face it because it seemed like the other clubs were getting close to victory.

Magtheridon was the former King of the Outland. As a cruel Pit Lord and servant of Mannoroth the Destroyer, Magtheridon found his way there after the Draenor disaster. Magtheridon quickly demonstrated his power before the collapsed Horde and the refugees of the disaster to unite the remaining Orcs to form his army. These Orcs were corrupted by Magtheridon to become Fel Orcs.

He had claimed this world and was the law of the land.

After many years, Magtheridon used Ner’zhul to tear open four portals that would bring a demon army into the Outland. This made him extremely powerful as these demons included the Nether Dragons, Voidwalkers, Succubus, Hellguards, Felhunters, Eredar and Infernals.

However, he was now the former King of the Outland and had since lost that status.

About 20 years after the catastrophe, Illidan and his servants came to the Outland to avoid the anger of his superiors. They were on the hunt for Kil’jaeden and intended to get rid of all the demons there.

Magtheridon found that he had been surrounded by Illidan’s alliance. Kael’thas and his Blood Elves, Lady Vashj and her Naga and even Akama and the Broken Draenei were in this alliance.

The alliance first closed the portal that Magtheridon had been using to summon reinforcements before heading straight for the Black Temple.

The Pit Lord consolidated his army for the fight, but the fighting skills of the alliance were too great. Soon, Magtheridon’s resistance was shattered. In the end, Magtheridon was defeated by four heroes and Illidan took the throne of the Black Temple.

Magtheridon’s reign was ended with the arrival of Illidan Stormrage, who would become the new King of the Outland.

Illidan thought Magtheridon could still return, so he imprisoned him in Hellfire Citadel for the Fel Orcs to do as they pleased.

Magtheridon’s loud wailing could be heard through the clouds as this happened.

What was interesting was that the Orcs that guarded him were not Fel Orcs but regular

green-skinned Orcs. Perhaps Illidan kept him alive to make more Fel Orcs for him.

Magtheridon, who was once invincible, had now become a prisoner. A powerful seal had rendered him completely immobile.

However, even though Magtheridon was a prisoner, the players standing before him were still very weak. A single attack would wipe them out. From when Karazhan’s First Clear had been taken until now, no one had succeeded in defeating Magtheridon.

In the battle against Magtheridon, the first stage was the most difficult. The latter two stages could be completed by applying the correct strategy.

Now, there were some that had seen a glimmer hope in victory, which meant that they had gotten through the first stage.

As such, Lu Li knew it was time to get to business.

“Well, I guess you can’t do it without me.”

Lu Li entered the Instance Dungeon and replaced Sky Moon as the commander. He wanted to mess with them for a little bit.

The others were depressed, but had nothing to say in response.

They had fought for several days and had used all kinds of methods. Sky Moon had also commanded with all his ability, but they hadn’t seen even a sliver of hope.

“I have been watching you guys play for the last few days, and today, I will show you what it means to be a God-level commander,” Lu Li said.

Of course, Lu Li was just talking nonsense. When he was with Water Fairy, how could he have the time to watch the Instance Dungeon fights? At most, he would just take a glance when he was bored.

By the time Lu Li brought his girlfriend into the Instance Dungeon, the mobs had already been cleared.

Magtheridon was in the middle of the room, surrounded by five Hellfire Channelers. These Channelers were standing in a circle around him.

These Channelers wouldn’t attack the players unless they were first attacked.
