Chapter 1916: Rejecting Public Displays of Affection

The Dragonmaw Stronghold didn’t have a Boss, but if you spoke to Kaireenaku, then a Boss would visit this place.
“Children, you should not have come here. I was imprisoned by here by the powerful Zuluhed. Now that you have meddled with this place, he is on his way and everything will be different soon.”
“Is Zuluhed the leader of the Dragonmaw Clan?” Lu Li had completed a quest with some other people in his previous life. The name that the NPC mentioned last time was different, and the monster that ended up appearing wasn’t that strong.
A distinct feature of this Boss was that it didn’t drop anything, so no one really bothered fighting him. Only those doing the Nether Drake Quest would seek him out.
Lu Li and Water Fairy could probably deal with it on their own, let alone the hundreds of players from Ruling Sword that were now starting to do complete the Nether Drake Quest as well.
“Although he is not the leader, he is one of the most powerful experts of the Dragonmaw Clan. Your strength is far from enough.”
Broodmother Kaireenaku had worked for a long time to free herself from the binds that made her so uncomfortable.
“A single Orc clan was able to enslave you? And now you’re trapped here?” Water Fairy thought that this was incredible.
The Dragonmaw Clan seemed to have some strength in the Outland, but surely it was incomparable to the Dragon clans? Why did they even enslave these Nether Dragons? As a variant of the Black Dragons, their power was indisputable.
“Don’t underestimate them, even though they might not seem that srong,” Broodmother Kaireenaku said with a bitter smile. “After Blackhand’s expedition into Azeroth, Deathwing instructed the Fel Orcs of this Dragonmaw Clan to dig out a cursed Artifact that had been sealed by the dragons in the ancient times – the Demon Soul”.
Demon Soul!
Water Fairy finally understood how the Fel Orcs could enslave the dragons.
The Demon Soul was an Artifact made by five guardian Dragons ten thousand years ago in order to resist the Burning Legion. However, the Earth Guardian Black Dragon Nesario who had suggested this action had actually been corrupted by the Old Gods. He persuaded the other four Dragons to contribute their power, but he didn’t do so himself. As a result, he became the most powerful dragon.
After the Burning Legion was defeated, the Dragons cast a curse on the Artifact. No dragons were allowed to use it and its name was changed from the Dragon Soul to the Demon Soul.
Any dragon that approached it would lose their strength, and only the black dragons could destroy it.
“It was Nekros. He successfully enslaved Alextrasza the Red Dragon Queen with the Demon Soul and took her most precious dragon egg as a threat. He forced her to give birth to red dragons as Mounts for the Orcs. Since then, these mounts have proven to be an indispensable strength for the Dragonmaw Clan. The air cavalry of these Orcs have made it impossible for the other races to resist them.”
“How did the red dragon queen escape then? And how did you enslave the red dragon?”
“The Human Mage Rhonin and High Elf Ranger Vereesa Windrunner managed to rescue the enslaved Alexstrasza. The Dragonmaw Clan was defeated and Nekros was also killed. Zuluhed originally followed Blackhand and led the Horde expedition into Azeroth. After Orgrim’s defeat and capture, the Dragonmaw Clan fell apart and Zuluhed fled back to Draenor. There, he inherited part of Demon Soul’s strength and surrendered to Illidan’s evil power in order to train a Nether Dragon.”
“You guys... regardless of whether it is Nesario or Deathwing, I’m sure they didn’t anticipate that the Demon Soul that they created would one day be used to enslave their descendants.”
Lu Li started sweating. His girlfriend, who was standing next to him, was just ridiculing the dragon.
Lu Li wasn’t just standing idly by while Water Fairy spoke to the NPC. He was getting a party together to fight the upcoming Wild Boss.
The PVP madmen in Dragonmaw Stronghold alone weren’t enough. Zuluhed wasn’t a small Boss that could be killed by two people; they needed players to tank the monster’s attacks.
This person most certainly had to be Azure Sea Breeze.
“I’m not going!”
“Why?” Lu Li didn’t understand. Everyone else had already agreed, so why was Azure Sea Breeze being so reluctant?
“I just ate.”
“What do you mean? Did you eat too much that you can’t move?”
I just ate and I’m full, so I can’t stomach any public displays of affection.”
“Just come on, damn it! There’s a big Boss!”
“A big Boss? Hey, will I get on TV if we beat it? Will it drop good equipment?”
“Of course!”
“Alright, give me 2 minutes!”
The team was soon in position and Zuluhed finally arrived. There was a prefix in front of his name, which made his full name Tired Zuluhed. At least Lu Li and the others didn’t have the face this Boss at its strongest.
“Brothers, for the First Clear!” Azure Sea Breeze shouted before rushing towards the Boss.
Lu Li felt a little bad. This quest Boss might not actually grant a First Clear, nor would it drop any equipment.
Sure enough, after the first attack Azure Sea Breeze found that there was something wrong. He turned his head and looked at Lu Li with some confusion.
“Hey shameless Lu, how could you lie to me? How can such a weak Boss still have a First Clear?”
“Ahem, it’s possible,” Lu Li said, not even looking at him.
With a hundred players, a single wave of skills easily resulted in the Tired Zuluhed kneeling before them.
Of course, no First Clear was awarded and not even a single hair was dropped. The group of players silently looked at Lu Li. Azure Sea Breeze in particular was urging everyone to kill him.
“For all participants, you will be awarded 10 DKP. If you have nothing to do, you can even farm some Nether Drake Mounts, which look great.”
Lu Li wiped the cold sweat off his forehead and was extremely grateful for his quick wit. Otherwise, he was about to be brutally murdered by this mob like one of the medieval kings in a revolution.
For 10 DKP, no one responded to Azure Sea Breeze’s call and instead started to complete the quest to farm Nether Drake Mounts.
Azure Sea Breeze looked at the people around him and looked at the damned couple. He quickly forgot how Lu Li had wronged him and joined the others in completing the quest.
Although no equipment was dropped, players like Lu Li and Water Fairy who had accepted the quest could loot the quest item.
It was a key that could unlock the chain on Broodmother Kaireenaku’s body. Without the threat of Zuluhed, Kaireenaku finally gained the freedom she dreamed of.
“Thank you,” Broodmother Kaireenaku said as she spread her huge wings. “Let me take you back to Mordenai; he must want to see you again. Neltharaku too – I haven’t seen him in a long time.”
“What is your relationship to Mordenai?”
Lu Li and Water Fairy climbed onto the dragon’s back. The dragon fluttered her wings and swept through the air. The speed at which she flew was indescribable; she was definitely incomparable to horse mounts.
“Mordenai is my son, and the son of Neltharaku,” the Broodmother said proudly.
