Chapter 91: The Archdemons Besiege (2)
Chapter 91: The Archdemons Besiege (2)
The archdemon then launched the ginormous ball of fire that was made out of demonic mana towards my barrier.
Oh damn! It seemed that the archdemons weren't joking right now and were deadly serious in breaking the barrier.
But who said that I wasn't able to defend against such attacks?
I don't even need to activate my mana stack skill to increase my mana by several folds to defend against such an average attack.
If it were the past me who did not train and enlarge my mana pool, then I wouldn't be able to handle the fireball attack of the archdemon.
I bravely withstand the fireball spell of the archdemon by supplying more mana towards my barrier whenever it got damaged from the explosion that the ginormous fireball had caused.
It was only a bit more powerful than my [Magnificence Of The Sun] skill so I was able to withstand it without getting serious.
My mana was only drained by at least one-fourth and I still have three-fourths of my mana.
"Was that all you got? Didn't your mother told you not to play with fire if the fire wasn't capable enough to burn down a whole house in a second?"
The archdemon was enraged and he started casting several huge fireballs but I could tell that the fireballs that he had cast right now were weaker than his previous fireball.
It must be due to him not maintaining his composure since magic relied on accurate visual interpretation and using the mental image to cast the desired magic skill.
Since the archdemon's head was filled with rage, he wasn't able to think straight hence leading to the weakening of his magic skill.
The other archdemons were starting to cast their spells and had joined the battle.
Damn! One of them was enough for me to sweat but now I had to face five of them at once and they except me to withstand it using my barrier?
Did I do something wrong in my past life that angered the Gods which lead to me meeting and encountering many misfortune events?
I only knew that I was the one who received the Gods' wrongdoings and the Gods had neglected me since they let me experience such horrendous torture.
If I happened to save this world and killed the demon lords, then I would wish to become a traveler of different worlds so that I can see if others had suffered the same case as mine due to the negligence of the Gods.
I knew that it was wrong to blame the Gods for my bad luck but if I don't blame the Gods, then who else would I need to blame?
"Why are you in a daze, little goblin? We are about to launch our combined attacks and yet you are still in a daze. Were you stunned by our display of power and had decided to surrender?"
As expected, villains tend to talk too much which would eventually be the cause of their demise.
I did not bother what the archdemons had said and only focused on maintaining the barrier.
Nothing was much more important than to focus on the job at hand.
I wouldn't be distracted by mere provocations and if they wanted to provoke me, then at least mention my scum of a parent.
"Are you afraid? Why not go back and drink your mother's milk!"
Now they had done what they shouldn't have done!
I'll show demons that the hellish environment that they had experienced where just the first circle of hell!
I'll let them experience what true hell felt like!
I released all of my mana and killing intent to suppress the archdemons and it worked like a charm.
The archdemons weren't even able to hold a candle against my killing intent and let alone my mana!
They were just some brute bumpkins who only knew about fighting head to head instead of using their muscle brains!
I materialized my mana into thousands of swords and paused it on mid-air.
I signaled my hand towards the archdemons which made the swords that were made out of mana to assault the archdemons with barrages of thrusts and stabs.
Those mere demons must have underestimated my battle prowess! I was a prodigy when it comes to magic and a genius when it comes to combat!
Magic was all an illusion therefore, intelligence was needed to trick the people who were used magic against them.
Combat relied on instinct, intuition, and power so doing daily work-outs and fighting in boxing matches would improve combat ability.
The archdemons were just some brutes who did not know how to use their brains properly.
As the archdemons were getting wounded by the mana swords that I assaulted them with, their wounds started to heal as I noticed that the pitch black-haired archdemon beside them was using demonic affinity healing magic.
Wasn't that Damien Miles? How come I had forgotten about him?
Don't tell me that his cheat skill was to prevent himself from standing out and could slowly remove our memories of him.
It seemed that I had made a mistake in saving him before and protecting him from the bullying of the now-deceased previous human heroes.
I had not expected that the traitor that was giving the demons information about our abilities was none other than Damien Miles!
I doubt that my teammates still had retained their memories about Damien since they weren't even mentioning him in our every conversation.
He had obtained such an annoying and troublesome cheat skill. It would have been better put to use if Sophie had that skill instead of that damn Damien!
I never would have expected that someone had betrayed me in this world and not to mention I did not have any memories of him betraying me before.
"Are you Damien Miles?"
I asked the pitch black-haired archdemon. Even though he had two demon horns protruding from his head, his facial feature was the same as Damien Miles.
"Who would have thought that you still had retained your memories just by seeing me. I was Damien Miles but not any longer."
"I see... That makes my job easier! Die then!"
