Chapter 148: A Clue To The Great Sage's Whereabouts
Chapter 148: A Clue To The Great Sage's Whereabouts
Axel's PoV:
I had already checked that the Dragon King was in good condition for now so I focused on the piece of paper I had obtained from the other half of the hundred paged book.
I took the piece of paper and read it silently in my mind space to avoid disturbing Axel 2.
[Finally! I'm done writing this piece of junk! Now I don't have to worry about 'her' for burning my whole collections of 'worldly' knowledge! Oh, the horrors of recalling that memory~ Anyways, to whoever reading this, I don't care what you think of this book.
-Yours Truly, The Great Sage Of Knowledge]
That's what I had read from the piece of paper.
Wow. I'm dumbfounded by the Great Sage Of Knowledge's words.
That message he left already ruined the image of what I had thought him to be.
If I'm not wrong, then the 'worldly' knowledge he was talking about must be something that caused the rage of the female that forced the Great Sage Of Knowledge to write the hundred paged book.
I don't know if the Great Sage Of Knowledge was still alive given his past predicament but I'm sure that the 'worldly' knowledge he was talking about must be that important.
After all, if the 'worldly' knowledge wasn't that important to the Great Sage Of Knowledge, then why would he risk his life to incur the wrath of existence that should be equal to him or most likely an existence slightly stronger than him.
On top of that, of all the existences that could offend, it had to be a female.
Although I believe in gender equality, I still can't deny that females were incomprehensible creatures that terrorize males.
The temper of a female was something that shouldn't be taken lightly.
For that reason, I'll burn a stick of incense if I happen to come across the grave of the Great Sage Of Knowledge.
I'll pray for the Great Sage Of Knowledge's poor soul that had offended an incomprehensible creature.
Hopefully, he would turn over a new leaf in his next life.
If not, then the Great Sage Of Knowledge might need to consult the propagandist of the gender equality culture so that he would be able to fight back against an existence from a different gender.
One of my most favorite characters from a famous anime, the propagandist of gender equality, or that's the nickname that I gave him myself.
His ideals of gender equality should be able to move the Great Sage Of Knowledge so that the Great Sage Of Knowledge wouldn't make the same mistake twice.
I should write the quote of the propagandist of gender equality so that I wouldn't forget to give it to the Great Sage Of Knowledge.
What was the famous quote of the propagandist of gender equality, again?
Oh, I know!
I quickly took out a scroll of paper from my system inventory.
Luckily, the Elven Library not only had several books on its bookshelf, but it also had numerous blank scrolls of paper stored in one of the containers in the Elven Library's bookshelf.
The Elven Library sure had a lot of useful things needed in everyday life for a literate person such as myself.
After taking out the scroll of paper, I took out a feather pen with a bottle of ink to use as my writing tool.
I knew that stealing a scroll of paper without a writing tool would be the same as stealing soap without water so I didn't hesitate in stealing a feather pen with a bottle of ink from the Elven Library.
Although I might be shameless and I don't dare deny it, it's all for a great cause.
The Elven Race would later thank me for teaching the teachings of the propagandist of gender equality towards the Great Sage Of Knowledge which would be tantamount to earning a favor from the Great Sage Of Knowledge.
After both the writing medium and writing tool was prepared, I thought of the famous quote from the propagandist of gender equality.
I might as well modify it to fit the Great Sage Of Knowledge's situation and so that the Great Sage Of Knowledge could use it as a reference.
How fortunate I am to be able to obtain and use otherworldly knowledge!
After I finished modifying it for a tiny bit, I quickly wrote it down on the scroll of paper.
[A man ought to yearn for true gender equality. A man shan't have patience for one who talks about female privilege when it suits them and then complains about someone not being a man when it's convenient.
-The Propagandist Of Gender Equality]
I might as well give credit towards the great young man who thought of this quote.
The quote does make some sense if I say so myself.
I hate it when a woman talked to a man about not being a man when a man disagreed and wouldn't fulfill the wishes of that woman.
That's one of the reasons why I disdained those incomprehensible creatures. Who knows? This might be the reason why I'm still a virgin in my last life. Although, I don't regret it, maybe.
It was an excellent thing that Aerin wasn't someone who would yell at me for not being a man and that's one of the reasons why I liked her.
The other reason, Aerin was cold and prideful and a bit sweet on some occasions which were just my type.
Haizz... If it wasn't for the demon race waging war and causing the other races to be in turmoil, Aerin and I would be able to have a date with each other without worrying about anything that comes our way.
Wait, if the demon race didn't wage war, then the Gods wouldn't summon a hero like me to vanquish the demon race.
And if the gods didn't summon me into this world, then wouldn't I be able to meet with Aerin and be engaged with her?
Should I thank the demon race instead? Nah, that would be absurd.
Anyways, I had already finished writing the quote of the propagandist of gender equality so the next thing I needed to do was to give this scroll of paper to the Great Sage Of Knowledge.
But since I had no idea where the Great Sage Of Knowledge was, then it would take a lot of time for me to be able to give the Great Sage Of Knowledge the scroll of paper.
I don't know if this works, but it was worth the shot.
I summoned the system screen and used the system map feature.
I used the search bar to locate the Great Sage Of Knowledge by typing his title on the search bar since I didn't know what his name was.
After I finished typing his title on the search bar, I pressed enter on the system keyboard that had appeared after I clicked on the search bar of the system map.
*Error! The host doesn't have the authority to access this level of information. Also, the system A.I. is currently unavailable so even if the host has access to this level of information, the host wouldn't be able to search for it.*
Since the system was currently experiencing an upgrade, then the system A.I. wouldn't be available.
Therefore, the 'Ding' sound, skill acquisition notification, and the error notification that I had heard before might be an automated message that the system A.I. had prepared.
Now that I thought about it, the system error notification said that I did not have the authority to access the information about the Great Sage Of Knowledge but it didn't mention that I wouldn't be able to access the information after I had the authority to access it.
I might be able to access the information about the Great Sage Of Knowledge's whereabouts after the system reached a level that would be high enough to obtain authority to access it.
I don't know when I would be able to access it but I'm sure that it won't be possible for me to upgrade the system to the highest level.
But of course, I still needed to work hard so that I could achieve all of my goals in this second life of mine.
Since I still needed to upgrade the system to have access to the Great Sage Of Knowledge's whereabouts, I didn't bother wasting any more of my time in finding something that cannot be found in the meantime.
I stored the scroll of paper where I had written the quote of the propagandist of gender equality in the system inventory.
On the other hand, the piece of paper that I had obtained from the other half of the hundred paged book, I tucked it in the other half of the hundred paged book where I had obtained it earlier.
As I was about to close the back cover, I caught a glimpse of the back part of the piece of paper and I noticed that there were some writings on it.
I quickly took it out again and read what was written on the back part of the piece of paper.
[To those who are reading this, I might be roaming around the world to seek new knowledge so you might not have any clue of my current whereabouts. At least a thousand years from now, someone will steal this book and read this paper so I might as well give the reader of this paper a clue about my whereabouts.
Remember the person who threatened me to write this book? She should be able to locate me so I'll provide you with information about her appearance. She has blonde hair and blue sapphire eyes. She's from the elven race and she mostly wears white clothing. Contrary to her thousand years of age, she looks like a child. I hope this helps narrow down your search range. If not, then the two of us might not be fated to meet with each other.
-Yours truly, The Great Sage Of Knowledge.]
For some reason, I felt that I had already met with the person that the Great Sage Of Knowledge had described.
I forgot when and where but I felt that I'll be meeting her sooner or later.
