Chapter 127: To Defeat A Monster, Another Monster Is Needed (2)
Chapter 127: To Defeat A Monster, Another Monster Is Needed (2)
Axel's PoV:
After half an hour had passed, the figure of the level 45,000 monster that was on the summoning circle had started to materialize.
I waited for another few minutes to let the level 45,000 monster that I had summoned fully materialized.
A level 45,000 double-headed cobra appeared on the summoning circle and it possessed both the water and earth element.
Since the level 45,000 double-headed cobra was famous for its agility and dexterity and not to mention its strong biting force and potent venom, it was the nemesis of the level 45,000 fire lion emperor.
Even with the advantages of the level 45,000 double-headed cobra against the level 45,000 fire lion emperor, I was still not confident that the double-headed cobra would win since the fire lion emperor had an ancient bloodline.
But even though I wasn't confident, it was still worth the shot to gamble on the level 45,000 double-headed cobra's life against the fire lion emperor.
Even if the level 45,000 double-headed cobra would die at the hands of the level 45,000 fire lion emperor, I still wouldn't suffer any losses since the double-headed cobra was just a disposable monster that I had summoned.
I wasn't planning on keeping the level 45,000 double-headed python because I hated snakes for their treacherous personality.
It was better to have a prideful monster as a pet compared to a treacherous monster.
The level 45,000 double-headed python was 10 meters long and 2 meters wide.
The double-headed python was still on the summoning circle and it stared at me for several seconds before averting its gaze.
"Tch! This level 30,375 brat is the one who summoned this great one? What a waste of my time!"
The level 45,000 double-headed python spoke towards me while ridiculing my power.
{What an insolent puny worm! Master, give me some of your mana so that I would be summoned out of the system inventory! I want to teach this sh*tty worm a lesson!}
Calm down, the dragon king. It's not worth it to infuriate yourself with a lowly mob as that double-headed python.
Remember that if it wasn't for its high level and dual element, I wouldn't summon such a disgraceful creature.
{This lowly one understands, master.}
Good, so now that the level 45,000 double-headed python was summoned, I would now command it to fight against the level 45,000 fire lion emperor.
But first, I needed to appear as a domineering being in front of the level 45,000 double-headed python so that it wouldn't take me lightly.
"Double-headed worm! The attack that fire lion emperor!"
I commanded the double-headed python to act against the fire lion emperor.
The double-headed python didn't listen to my command and only went out of the summoning circle to head in the opposite direction.
After witnessing the double-headed python's insolent behavior, I released my killing intent towards it to suffocate it from the pressure that my killing intent had released.
I focused my killing intent on the double-headed python while pinning its body down into the ground.
The double-headed python wasn't able to withstand my killing intent despite its high defense stat so its body quickly plummeted on the ground.
I kept on increasing the force of my killing intent which made the double-headed python almost passed out and some foam was being vomited from its mouth.
"I give up! This great one while acknowledges thou as this great one's rightful master! If this great one dare lie, then this one wouldn't be able to betray and lie in this great one's entire life!"
The double-headed python quickly spoke towards me and submitted to me.
It seemed that the double-headed python was sincere in acknowledging me as its master since it dares speak an oath, especially about betrayal and lies.
Since snakes symbolize betrayal and lie, a snake being voided from committing both betrayal and lie was nothing more but a worm.
That's the reason why I had known that the double-headed python was sincere towards me in acknowledging me as its master.
I might as well accept the double-headed python as my disposable monster against the fire lion emperor.
"Good! Since you are not blind in admitting defeat before this master, then this master shall acknowledge you as my slave!"
I declared towards the double-headed python and after that, I removed the killing intent that I had released towards the double-headed python.
The double-headed python didn't react to me only acknowledging the double-headed python as a mere slave.
The double-headed python bowed down in front of me to express its loyalty.
"That's enough. I'm not the type who likes to witness someone bowing in front of me."
After I commanded the double-headed python to stop what it was doing, it quickly listened to my command, fearing I would punish it if it ever disobeyed my command.
The double-headed python was becoming docile after I had turned it into one of my slaves.
It didn't dare disobey my commands and always did what I asked it to do without any complaint.
"Now that you acknowledge me as your own master, I will now give you your first command."
I said to the double-headed python and it listened carefully to what I'm going to say next.
"Your first job is to fight against the fire lion emperor and at least deal significant damage on the fire lion emperor's body."
The double-headed python nodded its two heads and opened its mouth.
"This great one dare not disobey master's order but can this great one delay in fulfilling the command? This great one had suffered damage from the killing intent that master has previously released."
The double-headed python retorted and told me about its predicament.
"I'm not in a hurry so you can take a rest first and recover your strength."
"After you are in your peak condition, quickly report to me and I will open an entrance in the protective array so that you would be able to confront the fire lion emperor."
I replied to the double-headed python's plea and accepted its request.
I also needed to recover some of my mana that was drained from supplying mana into the summoning circle and maintaining the protective array.
It wasn't a bad thing to let the double-headed python took a rest since it might be its last.
After all, the double-headed python coming out from the battle against the fire lion emperor alive was yet to be determined.
Although I wanted the double-headed python to defeat the fire lion emperor, it wasn't a bad outcome that the double-headed python would die at the hands of the fire lion emperor as long as the fire lion emperor exhausted its strength after the double-headed python's death.
After receiving my permission, the double-headed python went towards the tall trees and rested near them.
I had seen from my mana sense that the double-headed python wasn't just resting but also mending its internal wounds caused by my killing intent.
The double-headed python was also recovering its mana since it didn't possess that much mana in its mana pool due to it being summoned just a while ago but its mana capacity was still enormous.
I left the double-headed python to its own accord and went towards my teammates and the junior heroes.
My teammates and the junior heroes were brandishing their weapons and had already equipped their armors.
They were expecting a battle against the fire lion emperor to break out so they prepared in advance.
It was good that they weren't dumb enough not to notice the power that the fire lion emperor displayed so it was commendable that they already made their preparations.
Of course, there's always an idiot who doesn't give a sh*t about this world and especially about danger since it wouldn't apply towards the said idiot.
That idiot was Satomi Fujikawa and since he possessed the [Immortality] cheat skill, he doesn't give a sh*t about danger and death since he already experienced it multiple times but he was yet completely dead.
Although, I can't blame Satomi for acting like that since he had suffered from the downside of the [Immortality] cheat skill.
Anyways, I accompanied my teammates and the junior heroes in their preparation.
I also took out some weapons, skill scrolls, and artifacts from the system inventory to provide them to my teammates and the junior heroes.
Grace was suspicious of me being able to take numerous things out of thin air so I explained that it was one of my space element skills known as [Space Cube].
I forged a story about my [Space Cube] skill and told them that it was able to store anything and even a living being but it had its limitations in the storage capacity.
After I convinced my teammates and the junior heroes about the existence of such skill, I went to the double-headed python.
I checked up on its condition and it seemed that it was only several minutes away from recovering all of its strength.
After several minutes of waiting, the double-headed python was now ready for battle so it was time to deal with the fire lion emperor.
