The Girl Who Married a Tycoon Husband After Disfigurement

Chapter 26: Want to Know Her

Chapter 26

"Forget it," Zhou Mucheng didn't insist on asking further. He got up and walked out of the private room. That man had made so much money in the stock market, he would definitely come back to the stock exchange again someday. There would be a chance to meet him one day.

Song Ziyuan gulped down the wine in his glass and went after Zhou Mucheng, "Do you have time tomorrow? I'll take you to a nice place, guaranteed you'll like it."

Zhou Mucheng glanced back at Song Ziyuan, "What nice place?"

"My friend smuggled in a batch of rough stones from Myanmar. Wanna go take a look?" Song Ziyuan was very interested in gambling stones. Last time at his friend's place he opened up a piece of red feicui, and that piece of red feicui had earned him tens of millions.

Zhou Mucheng raised his brows, "What time tomorrow?" He happened to have nothing to do tomorrow, so going to take a look wasn't a problem.

"Nine o'clock," Song Ziyuan put his arm around Zhou Mucheng's shoulder, a sly smile flashed across his eyes. He planned to get Ling Yue to come along tomorrow to let Zhou Mucheng see how much his ex-fiancee had changed. He looked forward to seeing Zhou Mucheng's regretful look one day.

"What are you scheming?" Zhou Mucheng glanced at Song Ziyuan. He and Song Ziyuan had grown up together since childhood. To put it bluntly, he knew Song Ziyuan inside out.

Song Ziyuan smiled and touched his nose, "What schemes can I have? I was just thinking of asking a friend to come along tomorrow." He didn't know what it would be like when Ling Yue and Mucheng met. He was looking forward to it somewhat.

"Invite whoever you want, it's none of my business." Zhou Mucheng basically knew all of Song Ziyuan's friends.

"Alright, I'll call her in a bit." A smug smile flashed across Song Ziyuan's eyes.

Zhou Mucheng frowned at Song Ziyuan. Why did he feel that this guy was up to no good?

The evening breeze, carrying a hint of coolness, blew in gently through the open window, blowing up a few strands of the girl's fringe. The girl brushed her fringe aside and closed her computer before getting up to stretch lazily.

"Miss, dinner is ready."

"Coming." Ling Yue responded and pulled open the door to walk out to the kitchen. On the table were three dishes and a soup, while Granny Xu was scooping rice into bowls.

"Miss, your dinner." Granny Xu walked over and passed the bowl of rice to Ling Yue.

Ling Yue took the bowl, "Granny Xu, I can serve my own food from now on." Granny Xu didn't let her do anything and she really felt bad about it.

"It's fine. You're busy with your own things too, aren't you?" Granny Xu smiled and sat down opposite Ling Yue, picking out a piece of braised pork to put into her bowl. She was satisfied as long as she could be with Miss.

"Granny Xu, just call me by name from now on." Now, Granny Xu was her only kin in this world. She didn't want there to be such distance between them.

"I can't do that. You'll always be my Miss. I can't possibly call you by name." She had promised the previous Miss that she would take good care of Miss for life and be loyal to her. Even though they had been chased out by the Lings now, Miss would always remain as Miss to her. She would never overstep her bounds.

"Now it's just the two of us without so much formality." Ling Yue said helplessly.

"Miss, try this eggplant." Granny Xu obviously didn't want to continue on the topic.

Ling Yue could only go along with her intention. She picked up her bowl and accepted the piece of eggplant Granny Xu had put in for her, "Granny Xu, I want to buy over this house."

Granny Xu looked at Ling Yue in surprise, "Buy over?"

Ling Yue nodded slightly, "I like this house. It's quiet. I plan to buy it over and get people to renovate it so we don't have to keep moving in the future."

Although the house wasn't big, it was enough for her and Granny Xu. Even if she didn't like it in the future, she could rent it out after buying a new house or sell it away.

She had been looking up information on the computer the whole day today. She felt that there was a good chance housing prices would go up in the next two years. She planned to earn more money first before buying a piece of land. She would decide how to develop that piece of land when the time came.

"Miss, the house isn't cheap." When Granny Xu had spoken to the landlord previously, she had asked about the price too. The landlord had quoted a hundred thousand. Miss had given her a sum of money but she couldn't use that money. It was kept for Miss to use for her future marriage. She had already banked in that money.

"I earned some money in stocks today. It should be enough to buy this house. Ask the landlord another day to arrange for me to meet him." Ling Yue put a piece of braised pork in Granny Xu's bowl, "Eat more."

"Alright." Granny Xu smiled and nodded. Miss was becoming more and more sensible. If the previous Miss in heaven saw how sensible Miss was now, she would definitely be happy too.

After dinner, Ling Yue wanted to help wash up but was stopped by Granny Xu. "Don't move. I'll handle these things. There's watermelon in the fridge, take it back to your room to eat. Go on, be careful the oil stains get onto you."

Ling Yue had no choice but to take the plate of watermelon back to her room.

Putting the watermelon on her table, she turned on her computer. Just then her mobile phone in her pocket rang.

Ling Yue took out her phone and saw it was Song Ziyuan's number, "What's he looking for me for?"

She pressed to answer, "This is Ling Yue."

"Ling Yue, this is Song Ziyuan. Are you free tomorrow?" Song Ziyuan's clear voice came from the other end.

"Something on?" Ling Yue sat down on her chair and tapped lightly at her mouse.

"It's like this. I have a friend who specialises in the rough stone trade. Those stones that could possibly unearth jade when opened up. He told me there's a new batch of rough stones coming in so I plan to go take a look tomorrow. Want to go along?"

Ling Yue thought for a moment, "Okay." She knew of jade. It was a very valuable stone. The jade bangle she got from Li Jun last time was made of jade. The spiritual energy contained within it was much richer than antiques and would be good for her cultivation practice. She had checked online in the afternoon today on where jade was produced and knew its places of origin were Yunnan and Myanmar.

Upon hearing her reply, Song Ziyuan revealed a delighted smile, "Then I'll come pick you up at eight tomorrow morning. Send me your address."

Ling Yue gave her address to Song Ziyuan. They chatted casually for a few more sentences before hanging up.

Song Ziyuan hung up the phone in an elated mood and hummed a tune as he went to the kitchen to pour himself a glass of water.

"Bro, why are you so happy?" Song Yanxue walked over to Song Ziyuan's side and pulled at his arm.

"Nothing much. When did you only come back?" Song Ziyuan glanced at the bags in Song Yanxue's hands.

"Meng and I went shopping for clothes. Let me show you the new skirt I bought." Song Yanxue took out a floral skirt from the bag and unfolded it, "Bro, what do you think, does it look good? Meng helped me choose it."

Song Ziyuan frowned slightly when he saw the skirt, "I think this skirt doesn't suit you. By the way, you and Ling Yue are from the same school right?" He had seen Ling Yue before but she was always bowing her head, looking meek and subservient. Hence he hadn't paid much attention to her. But now he wanted to find out more about Ling Yue.
