The Gamer's System

Chapter 171: Zeke's Decision

Chapter 171: Zeke's Decision

"I gotta hand it to him. This is probably the best trick I've seen in my life." Zeke said, hiding within a thick [Cloud of Dreams]. He knew that it would probably have little effect on his enemy. Nevertheless, Zeke kept it up for extra caution.

The main fact at the moment was this. The enemy wiped out the memory of everyone in the capital. There was nobody who could tell Zeke that there was a castle there before. All of them unanimously said that none of the sort ever came there.

"So these are the things I know about that person." He said, drawing the numbers one and two on the ground, adding more as he went along.

Since he wows not under the influence of the silhouetted figure anymore, Zeke was already calm. His system was not broken so he was able to think properly; drawing out facts on the ground regarding his new enemy.

1. My new opponent exceeds the normal power levels.

This meant that he was on the same level as the gods. But Zeke also knew that the gods weren't allowed to descend on any of the realms they've created unless it was already in a state like the [Ruined City] where no proper life could thrive.

"But that is the only explanation on his power levels." Zeke said to himself; thinking of no other mortal who can reach the level of breaking his [System].

"I mean, the contract with the main deities even stated that those guys can't interfere with my system. Although that doesn't include the minor gods." Zeke drew scribbles on the ground. One which had Sinclair with horns sticking out of her boobs.

Glade came to mind but, Zeke knew it wasn't possible. He already destroyed the portal on Elysium connecting the [Ruined City] to it. Furthermore, Zeke knew that the king would at least be as powerful as he upon returning. At least, that's a fact until Zeke reaches [Level 100]. The level where he unlocks [Samael], [Kezel], the full potential of the mark on his back and, the [Tertiary Job Class].

"Let's leave it at that for now." He said, noting these things down on his [System] which recorded the data for him.

2. The silhouetted figure has a type of memory altering skill.

"That perfectly explains what happened to the citizens here." Zeke drew a circle with dots inside, signifying both the capital and the citizens.

"So it means that the range of that skill is at least as big as the capital" Zeke stopped drawing for a while.

He thought that he didn't put something into consideration. One connected to the radius of the skill. Hence, he opened the [Voice Chat]; speaking directly to one of his allies who've also gone to the capital.

"Mory." Zeke said, wanting to confirm things.

"Yes daddy? What do you need?" Morpheus gleefully responded.

"I just need to clarify something. When you went to the capital, did you see a castle?"

"Uhmno. I didn't. It's only the strongholds and the armories that are there. Mixed in with the houses of the civilians of course. Why?"

"I see. Don't mind what I just said. Please continue what you are doing for now."

"Okay!" Morpheus said in reply; with the [Voice Chat] being closed by Zeke.

Morpheus was on an area near the shores of the continent. Meaning it was far from the capital which was at the center of the continent. Yet, even he had no recollection of such and area. This made Zeke scratch his data; changing it immediately.

"So he can alter information as vast as a whole continent huh." Zeke drew this detail down. Creating a larger circle which symbolized the continent.

Zeke himself wasn't worried about this anymore. The gamer bought all the mind strengthening skills which he could get from the [Skill Shop]. These served as firewalls, defending any breach from being made; allowing the gamer to resist the mentioned type of attack. Although, this did come at the cost of spending more [Skill Points]. Reducing the amount he had saved up for the [Ancient Spell].

"Let's proceed." Zeke thought, writing down the third fact on the ground.

3. The silhouette can wipe a large structure off the grid, leaving no traces.

This was a fact. Zeke was sure that it wasn't his mind that was altered because, on the place where the castle was supposed to be; there was nothing but an empty lot. This same empty space had the same dimensions of the castle. The ground was completely fine though; with no signs of any underground entrances nearby.

This was all the proof which Zeke needed to confirm his assumption. That, his enemy could perform mass transportation.

"Aside from this, he was able to see through my clone. Meaning he has skills connected to mana interpretation." Zeke drew the eyes of the silhouetted figure, how it glowed a malevolent violet shade. One which he believed to be the source of this power.

"Man, that guy must be plenty strong."

Zeke closed his eyes in contemplation. These are skills which the gamer has discovered from the few minutes of encounter he had with the silhouetted enemy. All things considered; Zeke knew that there was no way to win. Not as he was currently, not without reaching [Level 100] at least.

"Butthere's another fact here." Zeke continued; smiling as he wrote down the final piece of the puzzle.

"The enemy is incomplete or hiding." It was the truth. Why would such a powerful creature remain hidden and underground? In fact, why would this person even run away as soon as he was discovered?

"He has enough powers to take me down and rule all the continents himself. So why would that person not do so?" It was weird, especially because it was also an area owned by the former King Gallio.

With this, Zeke wrote the last piece of information down. That, the new enemy was somehow connected to the Leonis household. Specifically, it's sole living member. Glade.

With all of this in mind, the gamer finally decided on his next course of action. His enemy was a ticking timebomb. One which could set off anytime. Thus, he needed to progress faster. The stabilization of the remaining continents could wait. The most important thing at the moment was for him to get stronger.

For that to happen, he needed to reach [Level 100]. Something which the gamer knew exactly how. Thus, he opened the [Voice Chat] again; speaking with Heron who responded immediately.

"Master?" Heron began.

"Hey. I'm heading out to the next continent."

"WHAT!?!"

"Heron you're overreacting."

"Overreacting? Master do you even know how dangerous that is for you? Need I remind you that you suddenly disappeared for 12 hours."

"Uhmm"

"And don't even try brushing that fact off saying something like you forgot the time. We all know that something bad happened to you. The party system broke down. And you, a person who always does things on time, suddenly disappeared for 12 hours!"

"Okay fine. You got me." Zeke said in utter defeat.

"But you need to do it don't you? It's the only option left right?" Heron continued in a low tone.

"You know me so well." Zeke said in reply, smiling faintly.

"It's fine. I'll be able to manage." Zeke continued, reassuring Heron who was getting even more worried.

The fact was that they were in danger. Zeke can't continue protecting them if it was a fight against that opponent. And the only way to win was to take the risk he was making. It was the only option. No other route was open for him. No matter how much eh thought about it. No matter how many calculations his [Gamer's Mind] made, reaching [Level 100] was their only chance of winning.

"I'm going to curse you if you die on me." Heron continued, getting a bad feeling about the act which Zeke was about to take.

"Yes ma'am." Zeke said, moving on to the instructions that he needed to leave.

"Make sure that both continents have been stabilized once I get back. There are leaders I have in mind for the continents of Helios and Elysium. The Windsprites would have to lead them."

"But master we only have a single Windsprite at the moment." Heron replied, referring to Sylph.

"Don't worry. Soon I'll be able to reunite the Windsprite siblings." Zeke continued.

"How about Rak'shan and Mithril master?"

"Let's wait until I've conquered them first." Zeke already began his preparations for transport while he spoke.

"Yes master." Heron simply replied.

"Oh and help the elites while you're at it. Get them out of the predicament which they've seemed to get themselves in." Zeke added.

"Is there anything else master?" Heron asked.

"None. That would be all Heron." Zeke was just about to press the [Close Voice Chat] button when Heron suddenly spoke.

"Master... Please be careful."

"Of course I will." Zeke simply replied, closing the [Chat] before Heron could add anything else.

"Though I don't know how that would be possible for this mission."

With this, Zeke summoned Horizon which stood at an amazing 20 feet in height. Its black mana formed the scales on its body while its eyes gleamed the same color as Zeke's crimson eyes. The gamer patted its head, with the dragon getting delighted.

"We're going to war buddy." Zeke said; thinking of battle strategies for the fight that was to come as he rode on the back of the dragon.

Horizon roared in excitement, extending its wings as it prepared to fly. Dark mist covered the two while the beast awaited its master's command.

"Let's go." Zeke said, with Beastmen Continent of Rak'shan as their destination.
