Chapter 139: The Gamer - Strengthening

Chapter 139: The Gamer - Strengthening

The group still went back to the cave after the incident. That's because Zeke erased the whole presence of the area and destroyed the tracker. He explained everything to the elites who also had thoughts that there was a spy among them.

"Sorry. My bad. Tee hee." He said, trying to look cute but the elites just wanted to massacre him at that exact moment.

Aside from this, Zeke already began covering the whole continent with his mana and, this takes a whole day in order to accomplish. But that's fine because they also needed this much time to rest and to recover before finally executing the plan. Zeke himself didn't need to rest because, he would just stay within the cave while they fought after all. And, he already found a way to maintain the barrier even though he didn't focus but, the explanation for that would be left for later.

"Don't worry about the messengers for now. It would take at least two whole days for our enemies to mobilize the messenger units because, with the convenience of the communication devices created by Glade, they didn't bother relying on this mode of communication anymore." Zeke explained, giving the elites the last peace of mind, they needed as they followed his order of resting and recovering.

Or so they thought.

While they tried to take a break from it all, they couldn't help but recall the whole remainder of the fight after Zeke came back. They knew it was him of course. They could recognize that the hostility was not directed towards them but, nobody could blame them if they also experienced fear and terror over the course of that time.

With 2,000 soldiers stronger, counting a [Conjured Chaos Dragon] and two reanimated generals Zeke wasn't only powerful, he was so much so that they thought he wouldn't even need to lift a finger to beat them all. And that is just estimating raw strength. They haven't even put his thinking and calculating skills into consideration which places Zeke at the very top of the food chain. In fact, after Zeke reaches a [Level 100], he may as well just toy with Glade. But the problem was that he couldn't reach it and that he was stuck at [99+] at the moment.

Due to all the thinking that was going on, some of the elites had their bodies burning up instead. And so, they decided to train even more. This much was understandable because, as Zeke mentioned, their desires have now shifted to what the world could offer them and, what it could offer, was the ocean of power which the elites have only began diving into.

They wanted more. They wanted to get stronger. Strong enough to not tremble at the face of unsurmountable power just like Zeke and, the one who was most affected by this was Quinn.

"And here I thought it didn't do anything to you." Jake told him, watching their leader practice at the largest training room.

Quinn was already covered in sweat and breathing heavily. Indicating that the leader of the elites had been practicing as soon as the meeting was done and dealt with.

"Don't be silly, Zeke makes my moves look like cheap party tricks." He replied, seeing both Jake and Mirio being present.

"Mind if we train with you." Mirio asked, already wearing his brass knuckles even before Quinn could reply.

"Only if you can keep up." He said, grinning and forming a stance.

But just before they could continue, a [Voice Chat] opened up on Jake's window, with the name of Zeke on the top.

"Don't you know how to put that thing on silent?" Quinn said, irritated.

"How should I know? He never explained that part to us." Was Jakes's response as Zeke finally began speaking.

"Didn't I tell you guys to rest?" He said, within a certain room and beginning the task he laid out for himself.

"We just wanted to get some more practice sir. We're not confident that we could deal with the enemies as we are." Quinn said in reply, not exactly lying but not telling the whole truth. They heard Zeke sigh but, he didn't speak anymore. As if he was thinking about what they just said.

"You know, all of you are actually moving to training rooms as we speak. I've got nothing against training. In fact, I'd want you guys to train until your hearts just burst from exhaustion. But I can't have you drained a day before the mission. So, here's what were gonna do."

Zeke explained that there was a crystal on each training room which could emit Heron's [Cloud of Dreams]. Specifically, what it contained was the part of the skill which could create a [Pocket Dimension] for them and, unlike the duration of one day which Heron could offer, the crystals could reach two days straight while only requiring 20 minutes in the real world. Of course, this is at the price of the crystals shattering altogether.

"Announce to everyone that I am allowing training. Use the crystals but, as soon as your two days within the [Pocket Dimension] finishes, you will rest. No questions asked." Zeke said, getting no complaints from Quinn and the two fighters as they responded:

"Understood."

Meanwhile Zeke remained within his own room, finally getting the hang of using [Gamer's Mind]. Together with his [Subconscious], Zeke was able to open up a unique quirk that wasn't actually part of the features. Within his [Subconscious], the [Gamer's Mind] could work as a separate entity altogether and, this meant one thing, that Zeke could do two things simultaneously.

"Fantastic it finally worked huh." Zeke said, making the feature continue the task of setting up the mana cover while Zeke went on to sorting the things on his inventory once again.

This time, he properly organized things because, with the number of deaths that happened, there was more loot to go around. Zeke invested too much in the items and equipment of the elites that, he forgot to properly gear his [Conjures] and to also merge them.

Zeke did these things at that moment, utilizing [Ultimate Gambler] which rose his chances by an extra [50%] on whatever he needed to make. And through this, he merged the conjures over and over again, finally creating platoon leaders for every group of [Conjures].

Zeke found it a hassle to think of their names one by one, so he gave them names based on the knights of the round table seeing that there were 12 of them all in all. Aside from this, Zeke gave each of them unique weaponry which was not present in Mythos.

It weren't just the equipment which were special but even the materials themselves. Three [Chaos Dragons] all in all were laid to waste and Zeke had scales of these dragons that amounted to this number. Although difficult, Zeke was able to make armor for each of these knights while also melting the scales through the a special kind of flame. He didn't forget about his own equipment of course and made sure to reset the durability of [Death's Void]. Furthermore, Zeke added the hearts of the [Chaos Dragons] to his weapon which created unique results all in all.

[Weapon Name: Chaos Death's Void]

[Weapon Grade: S+]

[Level Requirement: 90]

[Additional Information: Through the parts of the Chaos Dragon which were integrated to the weapon, the following effects have been added:]

[1. The weapon can now be used to fire 10 fully charged bullets before it reaches breaking point. The cooldown is also greatly reduced.]

[2. Chaos Flame bullets can now be used but would consume two out of the 10 maximum shots before overheating. This is caused by the heart of the chaos dragon which was infused on the weapon.]

[3. The scales of the Chaos Dragon make the weapon more durable as a means of defense while, the claws infused on the blades adds the same effect of chaos flames to whatever it slices.]

"Now that is what I call a proper upgrade." Zeke said, satisfied with his handiwork once again. He then proceeded to viewing all the common armor and weapon he made for his army of [Conjures].

[Attribute: Dragon Blaze]

[Information: The dragon's soul resides on the material that you used. Thus, a partial amount of the chaos black flames of the dragon could be utilized as an offensive attack for weapons while it could also be used as an added layer of protection for defensive and armor type equipment.]

"This one went beyond my expectations. I think reaching both [Undying Loyalty] and [Undying Fury] would prove to be difficult because of this." Zeke said to himself, excited to utilize his conjures altogether. But he knew that the time for them has not yet come.

He then moved to his latest prized [Conjure] which was the [Chaos Dragon] which he had no plans of merging with other creatures. Even with his heightened success rate, there was still a chance that he would fail and, Zeke didn't want to bet on his chances.

Right then, the number of his units have greatly diminished. Because of all the [Merging] which he performed, Zeke needed to replenish his troops. But this could be easily done in the battlefield so he didn't worry about it much. Instead, he adored his newly created knights.

Arthur had Excalibur. A great sword which also turns into a plasma cannon and, with the addition of the chaos black flames, it could easily release enough power to rival the continent destroying flames of the [Chaos Dragon]. Although, this would also be at the price of breaking the weapon.

Mordred was both named after the knight and the other Mordred who was one of the defenders on the team of the elites. This one wielded a double claymore weapon. But aside from this, the blades also had a function of extending into a whip, having the same durability and sharpness of the sword version except that, it could extend. Again, the flames could cover this, making it a difficult opponent to go up against.

Then there is Lancelot and, it may just be because of the name but, Zeke gave him a lance. This weapon is as large as the greatsword of Arthur and, could also extend just like Mordred's double claymore. But unlike the first mentioned, Lancelot's only extends on a straight line which happens so quickly that, it reaches the speed of sound.

Zeke was equally satisfied with all the other knights. They not only looked like proper ones but, they also had different colors, indicating that they have already evolved.

"That just leaves me with one last thing to do." Zeke snapped his neck left and right and stretched his spine.

But what he needed to do went beyond simply stretching his body out. It was, in fact, connected to strengthening his body even further.

Here's the thing, because Zeke was stuck on [Level One] for so long, there was a cap to the amount of attributes which he could obtain. He had the same dilemma with his skills in that, even though he had a lot on his arsenal, he couldn't make use of all of them at the same time. That's why he needed to level up first and, that is also the reason why the backlash was so great when he needed to face the five generals during his short stay on the farm.

Think of it this way. He is like a two-terabyte worth of data that was forced into an old 32 gigabyte flash drive. No matter what you do, it can't and won't work and, Zeke could only muster up to 32 gigabytes worth of power.

Going beyond this naturally broke his body which he needed to repair immediately. But, now that he reached [Level 99+] his base attributes and the amount of ultimate level skills he could use also increased but, this also needed time to integrate.

Again, with the example of memory and flash drives. All the data stored on the 32-gigabyte flash drive are now being transferred to a better container. Maybe a terabyte's worth of memory. Still, this was not enough for Zeke to reach his full capacity but, this was incomparably better than his first situation.

With this, it could be said that they all trained. The elites and Zeke made it a point that they would become stronger. Strong enough to reach their goals. And, while the elites only wanted to reach Zeke's level, the gamer had a higher goal in mind.

He wanted enough power to massacre the gods.
