The Founder of Qi Cultivation, Reincarnates?

Chapter 43 41- A Death God Capable Of Killing Thousands With A Swish Of His Sleeves… Chaos Qi

After what seemed like forever, the explosion calmed down somewhat and everyone in the venue looked towards the stage with completely stunned expressions.

Bai Xiaofung’s figure could be seen curled up below the stage with his finger in his ears. As soon as that anonymous droning sound had echoed out, his face had already gone white like a sheet of paper before he leapt off the stage and then used it for cover.

After the explosion died down, Bai Xiaofung peaked open one of his eyes and then slowly stood up. Currently, everyone was staring at him with horrified looks on their faces.

Suddenly, a male disciple who was close to Bai Xiaofung released a shrill high pitch scream before he knocked several disciples away as he retreated.

Everyone nearby looked at him confused, and the ones who were knocked aside sported angry expressions on their faces.

However, that disciple had a terrified look on his face as he pointed a trembling finger at Bai Xiaofung’s hand.

Everyone turned to look at what he was pointing towards and saw that Bai Xiaofung’s hand was carelessly grasping another one of those mini-nuclear pills.

Their faces all turn deathly pale before they immediately backed away from Bai Xiaofung. It was like he had become a death god capable of killing thousands with a swish of his sleeves.

Seeing everyone’s frightened expressions as they looked at him, Bai Xiaofung's expression turned smug before he swished his sleeves and said, “I warned you people, but you didn’t listen! If I wanted to, I, Bai Xiaofung with a flick of my sleeve could reduce you all to ashes.”

After that, he swished his sleeves once more, but the disciples suddenly flinch in fright as the hand Bai Xiaofung had just waved at them contained that horrifying pill.

In the Pavilion with the Sect Leaders, the Clan Leader of the Bai Clan had an ugly expression on his face as he stared at his youngest son carrying out his antics.

The Bai Clan was known for having strong physiques, as they had spent more time cultivating External Cultivation Methods than Internal Cultivation methods. This could be seen by the burly figure of the Bai Clan Leader as the chair he sat on could barely hold his muscular build.

However, one could tell that his son on the other hand was a different story since he exhibits none of those traits the Bai Clan was known for, the muscular build, the tanned skin none of it. In fact, it was the exact opposite, Bai Xiaofung’s face and skin looked as delicate and smooth as a newborn baby’s bottom, and compared to children his age he was on the shorter side.

And what’s even more, he had chosen to study alchemy, the least most physical profession, while also almost forsaking his external cultivation, which irked Bai Luo to no end.

On the stage, the elder looked at the bloodied and mangled Zhang Xiang who had managed to retrieve a precious mid-grade shield-type Spirit Artifact in time to save himself, before looking at the still smug Bai Xiaofung below the stage.

Thinking for a moment, the elder then announced the results of the match.

“The winner of the second match is number 32!!”

Hearing that, the smug look on Bai Xiaofung’s face dropped before he turned around to look at the elder with his eyes open wide.

Ignoring Bai Xiaofung’s gaze, the elder continued and said, “The rules state that the winner of a match is determined if you can incapacitate your opponent or make him surrender, as well as if you can knock them off of the stage.”

Hearing the elder's last words, the disciples come to realize why Zhang Xiang had won.

Since Bai Xiaofung had leapt off the stage before the explosion occurred that incapacitated Zhang Xiang, Bai Xiaofung was automatically disqualified, resulting in Zhang Xian being the winner.

However, looking at his bloodied and mangle figure that was lying half-dead at the edge of the stage, they all thought there was no way he could compete in the next round.

The elder had come to the same conclusion, which was why he announced that due to his injuries Zhang Xian will be removed from the competition.

With a sulking expression, Bai Xiaofung walked towards the loser’s section while thinking to himself, ‘Dammit that‘s not fair! I told that bastard Xiang to just forfeit, now how am I going to get my hands on that Sea Expansion Pill? And I’m so close to figuring out its formula too…’

As Bai Xiaofung thought that last sentence, his expression became downcast as he sat down on the ground, not minding the dust, while he watched the next matches unfold with clouded eyes.

Unbeknownst to him, Xi Shen had his gaze locked onto him and he wore a curious expression as he stared.

‘That pill, how did that kid create something like that? I actually sensed a bit of that Chaos Qi from it.’

As Xi Shen asked himself that, he was reminded of how that was the same strand of Qi he had tried to adsorb, which had ultimately killed him.

Xi Shen suddenly wanted to smack himself in the face, as he was reminded of his stupidity at that time.

‘Haah!... If I had tried studying it more, I would have discovered that I could have further separated it into different forms and then cultivate one of those. Instead, I tried to forcefully absorb fucking Chaos Qi! Which I might add is very chaotic and destructive in nature, simply because of all the different elements and laws it contains…. *Sighs*’

The Chaos Qi in question was the type of Spiritual Qi that Xi Shen had discovered in his previous life. Though, it seemed that over the years it had permeated throughout the entirety of the God Domain, and then separated to form the various Qis in the universe, such as the Fire Qi, Water Qi, and so on.

After letting out a loud sigh in his heart, Xi Shen noted Bai Xiaofung’s strange pill, before he turned to the proceeding rounds of the competition.

Like this, several rounds go by but compared to Donghai’s match showing his outstanding battle skills, and that other match with that youth name Bai Xiaofung, these matches were lackluster.

Both Dong Sin and Renxiang were able to easily defeat their opponents and move on to the next round.

Asides from those two who were contenders for the top five positions, both Xiasheng and Guiren who had opened 49 and 50 meridians respectfully, and were said to be the contenders for the number one spot had also defeated their opponents easily, only using a single slash of their saber and sword.

Though there was dark horse as well within the competition and it wasn’t surprising that it was the other Ming Clan youth, who was named Ming Shiming.

He had also defeated his opponent, who was a fellow newly admitted disciple, with one strike of his fist.

Even in that match, he kept his cultivation hidden and it had not been released. So no one knew besides probably Ghuanyu knew his cultivation level. Though what could be determined during his match was that his body gave off the feeling of someone who had reconstructed his bones when he had thrown out that fist.

This revelation had all the experts in the surroundings on the edge of their seats because if that was the case, the flaw Donghai revealed before wouldn’t work against him. They all also wonder what Phase he had reached in the Meridian Opening Realm since it was obvious by now that Tengfei wasn’t the only one who had opened his meridians before entering the Meridian Opening Realm.

“The second round will now begin! Winners of the first round, step forward to draw your lots!”
