Chapter 31: There Are No Ghosts In The World Part 1
Chapter 31: There Are No Ghosts In The World Part 1
Chen Shu swept his gaze over the desolate artwork in the public mall. “There are no ghosts in this world.”
Ye Sui retorted weakly, “You’re wrong. There really are ghosts in this world.”
Chen Shu looked at Ye Sui and remained silent for a few seconds. He did not insist on his own point of view. “That’s right.”
From beginning to end, his belief was still the same, and he would not believe in these things.
Ye Sui felt disturbed. She didn’t want to force Chen Shu to admit that this world really had evil spirits. It’s just that Chen Shu was full of yang energy, so the ghosts would scurry away when they encountered him.
Ye Sui couldn’t prove what she said was true.
When Chen Shu arrived, Ye Sui was relieved. Now, it was just getting dark. As long as she just followed Chen Shu home, she would be fine.
They followed the original path and were ready to go out through the front door.
A minute later, Chen Shu and Ye Sui returned to the place where they had started a while ago. Now the ghost barrier affected them both.
“How did you come in before?” Ye Sui could not help but ask. How could they still be here?
Chen Shu calmly spoke, “I chose a random direction and just came.”
It’s really irresponsible to say that he literally chose a way out.
Ye Sui had to pull Shen Shu and went to another way. They went out of the head office through the back door.
After a few minutes, Ye Sui once again verified that it was impossible to find an exit when you were inside a ghost barrier.
They once again changed their course and trudged along. If they hit the ghost barrier, they would have to stay.
“There is something wrong with the design of this building. The paths are the same everywhere.” Chen Shu perfectly found a reason, pasting the issue of ghost barrier on the architect’s head.
The innocent architect might respond to this with, “I... I did not foresee this.”
In order to prove to Chen Shu that ghosts were real, Ye Sui decided to make things clear and made signs along the way.
She glanced at herself, then at Chen Shu, hesitated for 0.5 seconds, and decided to take his things as markers.
“You take off your tie.” Ye Sui pointed at his tie.
Chen Shu first followed suit, his slender fingers holding the top of the tie. His fingers slightly tightened, and he loosened it. His voice appeared a little confused, “My tie?”
Ye Sui realized what she had said. On this dark night, she and Chen Shu were the only ones alone in this deserted and remote place.
She even asked Chen Shu to untie his tie. According to the atmosphere at this moment, should he take off his shirt next?
Ye Sui, fearing that her actions might cause misunderstanding, hurriedly explained, “I want to do an experiment with it.”
The next second, Chen Shu’s hand pulled the tie off his neck with a slight jerk. The top two buttons of the white shirt were unfastened because of the force.
Chen Shu put the untied tie in Ye Sui’s hand. “Here.”
Ye Sui’s mind was in a hideous mess while taking Chen Shu’s neckwear and tying it to the armrest.
“We’ll see if it’s still here.”
Chen Shu had no problem with what Ye Sui was doing. Naturally, he wouldn’t mind her experiments with his tie, either.
After that, the tie moved around the armrest, Ye Sui immediately pointed to Chen Shu, “Look, there is clearly a ghost here.”
Even after so many strange things, Chen Shu was still unperturbed. “It seems that we are really lost.”
Ye Sui: “...”
‘You still want to find a decent reason?’
Ye Sui could only circle around the mall with Chen Shu. Even though there was no light, Ye Sui had sharp eyes and could see the tie around the armrest many times.
A big red dress suddenly appeared, hanging beside Chen Shu’s tie. Ye Sui was trembling as Chen Shu pointed to the strange red dress.
Chen Shu looked at Ye Sui curiously, “The tie is still there. What’s the matter?”
Chen Shu could not see it, which meant that this red dress could only belong to a ghost and not to people. Just as Ye Sui was about to speak, the light on the top went out with a bang.
In the dark, she and Chen Shu just stood in front of the red dress. Even a single thing couldn’t be seen clearly, let alone hiding from the ghost.
Ye Sui didn’t want to stay here. She wished to go back in the dark, but Chen Shu did not understand Ye Sui’s mind and grabbed her arm. “Wait, I’ll turn on my cell phone.”
Chen Shu took out his mobile phone, but its screen also went dark. They futilely pressed the power key several times.
“The cell phone is dead.” Chen Shu put the mobile phone back in his pocket.
To be continue...
