Chapter 371 – A New Arrow

Chapter 371: A New Arrow

After Aakesh left the arena, a portal appeared in the selection area, and soon Aakesh stepped out of it.

Since he had now won all the three rounds of battles with the opponent, his training there had come to an end. It was also the reason he told goodbye to the crowd seated in the arena.

He would now need another training round for him to train, but since for now, it was nothing to think about, he stopped thinking about it.

Aakesh then selected his next destination and pushed the switch required to activate the environment he had chosen.

Soon, a portal appeared in front of him, and then it sucked him in.

The next moment, Aakesh found himself in a familiar environment. It was the closed hall and a bullseye in front of him.

Aakesh hadn't stopped this training because it had no limits and would help Aakesh's archery to only grow irrespective of his skill set.

Soon, the training began as an arrow flew from the circle in the bullseye, aiming to pierce Aakesh's throat.

One second passed, two seconds passed, three seconds passed,… fifty seconds passed, just like that ten minutes had passed.

"Clang!"

"Clang!"

"Clang!"

The sound of metallic clashes continuously rang in the hall as arrows after arrows from both sides clashed with each other. It all resulted in the same every time; the destruction of both the arrows.

Aakesh was currently fighting the five hundredth round when there were five hundred bullseyes shooting arrows at him.

If he succeeded this time, he would pass this stage, and then there would be an addition of a new bullseye.

"Clang!"

The last arrow from both sides clashed with each other, and similar to the past situations, both got destroyed due to an equal amount of strength from both sides.

Aakesh decided to continue and see how far he could go from this situation.

Time flew by, and ten more minutes passed.

Aakesh was currently fighting the seven hundredth round while there were seven hundred and thirteen bullseyes shooting arrows at him.

"Clang!"

A metallic clash resounded again in the hall as the arrows from both sides clashed.

What Aakesh wanted to see the result of the clash; didn't happen.

Aakesh's arrow overpowered the other side and flew right at the bullseye.

"Whoosh!"

The next moment, the bullseye released an arrow with enough strength and speed to kill Aakesh.

Soon, the arrow reached Aakesh and pierced his heart, resulting in his death.

The next moment, a blue light engulfed the entirety of the hall.

When the light receded back, all the bullseyes had disappeared, and only one remained, showing that Aakesh would need to restart the training. Aakesh also appeared in the hall not long after, with his heart reverted back to healthy.

Aakesh wanted to see his limit for today after passing the five hundred bullseyes, and since he had seen it, Aakesh decided to leave the training.

The next moment, Aakesh disappeared from the hall and reappeared in the selection area.

He didn't wait for any second before activating his next training, so he selected his final destination for today and then pushed the switch.

Soon, a portal appeared and sucked him in.

The next moment, a familiar view welcomed Aakesh's sight.

He gazed down at the towering fort that was oozing majesty as usual.

Right after he had stepped foot in the area, the war began.

The next moment, meteors welcomed the sight of him.

Aakesh didn't flinch, seeing meteors ranging from hundred meters to several hundreds of miles falling at an unexpected rate, aiming to turn him into a pile of meat.

Aakesh, in response, aimed his bow at the sky using his left hand, grabbed the bowstring using his right hand, stretched it up to his nose as an outline of an arrow began taking place in between the bowstring and the bow.

When the arrow had completely taken shape, an arrow with a red tail feather, the shaft being thicker than the usual shots, and an arrowhead in the pattern of a curved bowl presented itself to Aakesh.

It was one of the arrows he had learned in yesterday's battle with the ruler.

"Whoosh!"

Aakesh released the bowstring, and the arrow flew, tearing through the air at the countless meteors falling down the ground.

When the arrow was only a few miles away from touching the first meteor, the arrowhead in the shape of the bowl began enlarging, while the red feather had completely turned the bowl red.

The enlargement stopped when the bowl's diameter had reached eleven meters.

If someone were to look at it from the sky, they would see the bowl filled with lava.

"Clash!"

Soon the meteor and the bowl clashed with each other, but something unexpected happened.

There was no size comparison between the bowl and the meteor. But when the meteor met the bowl, it automatically began shrinking and soon dropped into the filled lava.

There were countless meteors in the sky, and they covered thousands of miles of radius in the sky, but the bowl had some kind of attraction force: it stopped the meteor from following their path. They instead began moving toward the bowl.

Whenever a meteor reached the bowl, it faced the same result as the first one. The first thing that would happen is that it would shrink down; then it would fall into the lava, resulting in its complete destruction.

While all this was happening, Aakesh and fort weren't waiting for the clash to end.

Soldiers after soldiers began jumping down the fort, while Aakesh shot arrows after arrows.

Due to his growth over the past two days, his shooting strength wasn't comparable to the past him.

Even a regular energy arrow he shot pierced the soldiers and gave them a severe wound, if not death.

The archers from the fort weren't able to push back against Aakesh's shooting strength, so it took three-four of them to even stop Aakesh's arrows from reaching the soldier jumping down.

Time flew by.

In the sixteenth second of the battle, the bowl successfully destroyed every meteor in the sky.

It wasn't the end of the bowl, as every meteor that fell into the lava gave additional strength to it.

When the meteors had vanished, the bowl enlarged itself and covered a large area in the sky, creating a shadow over the soldiers charging at Aakesh.
