Chapter 288 - Result
Chapter 288: Result
A few seconds later, the mushroom cloud began subsiding, and all the multiplied arrows had crashed into the fort.
Aakesh's eyes widened in surprise when he saw the damage the combined power of the arrows had done.
The place where the arrows had crashed, there was a hole the size of a tennis ball.
And soon, that hole began to shrink as the fort started to repair itself and fill the gap.
Aakesh regained his calm back. He knew it wasn't the fight between him and the soldiers; the fort was also his opponent. If he couldn't destroy it fast enough, it would repair itself back to unharmed every time.
The arrow Aakesh had used was only one of the arrows in the bow's arsenal, so he didn't worry much about it.e
"Thud!"
"Thud!"
"Thud!"
The next moment, crashing sounds rang in the area. Aakesh looked up and noticed soldiers jumping down the fort to fight him.
In only a few seconds, the number of the soldiers had crossed ten thousand, and the soldier continued jumping down.
Finally, the soldiers stopped jumping down, and the number of soldiers on the ground reached 108,000.
The majority of the soldiers in the batch were equivalent to his strength, while several soldiers had even surpassed him in strength.
The expressionless face Aakesh had been carrying all along suddenly turned into a cold one. The actual battle between the fort and him had begun from this moment on.
Aakesh didn't wait for the soldiers to reach him. He took his aim and began shooting energy arrows. He didn't just shoot; he also took a step forward with every shot, trying to create pressure on the soldiers.
The soldiers who had just jumped down on the ground got ready to fight right away, seeing thousands of arrows coming at them.
The soldiers didn't even have to do anything to defend them as before the arrows could even touch them, the archers standing in the fort gave crossfire to them, destroying all the arrows.
The soldiers, getting the crossfire from their fellow soldiers, began moving forward, unaware that Aakesh had randomly shot the multiplication arrows in his shooting barrage.
Aakesh hadn't just activated their ability to multiply as he was waiting for the correct time.
The soldiers, unaware of Aakesh's plan, continued moving forward while the archers destroyed Aakesh's arrows before they could reach the soldiers.
Aakesh finally found his time as one of the multiplication arrows suddenly multiplied into three. The archers from the fort had shot the master arrow. But the two new arrows that had emerged pierced the throat of two soldiers, who were near the master arrow.
Since the soldiers weren't ordinary, they still survived the shot to their throat. But now, their moving speed had slowed down by several folds. They had begun fighting the arrows on their own and not just depending upon the crossfire from the archers.
Aakesh didn't mind that his arrows had failed to kill the soldiers as he expected them to survive since they had the same power level as him. The only advantage he had over them was his knowledge of weaponry.
The bow here allowed Aakesh to use several of its abilities, unlike the battle with the opponent where he could only use the number of abilities depending upon the stage of the training.
Aakesh activated one such ability of the bow. The next moment, when Aakesh stretched the bowstring, there wasn't only one arrow generating, but there were five.
Each of the five arrows was different. One arrowhead was fire, the other was water, the other was earth, the other was metal, and the last was thunder.
Aakesh released the arrows right after the bowstring touched his nose.
"Whoosh!"
The five arrows flew toward the soldiers, tearing the air.
The earth arrow took the initiative out of the five. It didn't clash with the soldiers, but it crashed on the ground.
The next moment, all the soldiers noticed that shackles made of rock had appeared and were trying to bind them to the ground. Since the soldiers weren't weak, they were able to break the shackles of the rocks, but they reappeared.
It wasn't the end, as the arrow with the fire suddenly exploded in the air, bringing a rain of fire on one-half of the soldiers. The next moment, the wind arrow also exploded near the previous explosion and made the already fire rain on the soldiers wild.
Soon, the water arrow also exploded, and it began raining down on the other half of the soldiers. The next moment, the thunder arrow exploded into the center of the water rain, and then the destruction began, as the thunder started raining down on already wet soldiers.
A few seconds later, only charred corpses of 108,000 soldiers remained. And soon, a wind arrived and took the ashes of the charred corpses with it.
Aakesh had no change in his expressions after killing so many people at once, but instead, he was preparing for another attack.
"Clang!"
Suddenly a sound of metallic clash rang in the air, as Aakesh had just stopped a sword swing at him.
Aakesh didn't even get the time to breathe as thousands of such sword slashes appeared the next moment.
Aakesh tried to stop as many slashes as possible, but unfortunately for him, there were too many for him to defend.
The next moment, the slashes bypassed his arrows and crashed with him.
Each slash that hit him took a part of his body away. Aakesh didn't even change an expression seeing his body getting cut. The only thing he was worried about was that he wasn't even able to see the identity of his killer.
Thinking like this, he lost his consciousness as several pieces of his body lay down on the ground in his blood pool.
"Hmph," A scoff rang in the area after Aakesh's death.
After his death, Aakesh appeared in the selection area with a cold face.
It has been quite a time since he died like this, so his getting angry was plausible.
Lily still wasn't here, so he sat down as a chair appeared for him. If he were to go back to the last environment, he would need to start again, so he decided to do it tomorrow.
After an unknown amount of time passed, a portal appeared in the area, and then Lily stepped out of it.
