The Female Cultivator In The World Of Men

Chapter 54 - Don't Forget About Tonight

"Is she going to rat you out?" Nagina was a little doubtful of Elder Lin's intention. She could never understand as to what was going on in her mind no matter how much she tired to check up on her.

Elder Lin's sea of consciousness was always covered by a thick layer of fog that seemed impenetrable.

"Maybe, it's fine though. We have plan B of being rogue cultivators if we are kicked out."Le Fang Ling answered inside her head.

Getting no more response from Nagina, she decided to wait for the hammer of justice to be bestowed down on her. She looked around the training ground and smiled as she looked at the cherry trees growing everywhere.

'This place was nice. So long…' She thought as she looked at Elder Lin who was walking haughtily.

"She has the rare…Chimpanzation disease." Elder Lin gave a sharp turn and made an eye contact with Le Fang Ling. She was startled to the point, she almost wanted to jump three steps back from where she was standing.

"Da Faq is that disease?" Le Fang Ling wanted to ask but she ended up coughing violently.

"Pfftt…cough cough." Le Fang Ling choked on her saliva when she heard the absurd name.

Meanwhile, Elder Shen looked at Elder Lin's serious face with surprised Pikachu expression. He had never heard of that disease but since it was Elder Lin herself who said that, he found it hard to not believe.

"Le Fang Ling,  you can speak for yourself. It's nothing to be ashamed of for having illness." Elder Lin saw her coughing and aside with a smirk.

"Ahh..well..The family doctor back home did say something like this..It is a temporary disease ahahah.." She answered as she tried to go with the flow of the situation following the eyes of Elder Lin.

"I will momentarily lose my qi from body but yeah well.." She made a pitiful face and gave a bitter laughter.

"Noice acting.." Nagina was impressed with how smooth the on spot lie was.

Elder Shen was silent as he looked at the poor girl in front of him. He had never heard of this but just because she did not hear of this did not mean it did not exist.

'I still have a lot more to learn and see.' Elder Shen took it up as his mission to go out and see the world once again for a few hundred years after things settled down here.

"Elder Shen, I have found a way to help her so to take the treatment, she must stay here in this sect." Elder Lin was happy with what Le Fang ling said and decided to step up.

"Ohh…is that so. If Elder Lin is vouching for you then there is nothing else to worry about." Elder Shen was sorry about the girl and went soft hearted on her. If she could find a way to cure herself and embark on the journey to immortality, then he would be happy.

'Ehh? Just like this? Wasn't this  a little too easy?' Le Fang Ling felt a sense of crisis seeing the crisis at her hand dissolving away at the speed of light.

"I won't let you down." Le Fang Ling smiled as she looked at both Elder standing before her.

"Bu since, you got no result. And we still need to assign you your level, hmmm…" Elder Shen was thoughtful for a while as he tried to think of something.

'Ah..knew it was not going to be that easy.'

Meanwhile, the other students were getting anxious as they waited for the result to be announced, they could not properly hear the conversation inside but they did hear one very important thing.

Le Fang Ling was sick with a disease and it was called as "Chimpanzation!!"

Although they did have a bad feeling about this name, it did not change the fact that this disease was a certified disease by Elder Lin and so they found their doubts being washed away by their faith in Elder Lin.

.

"Disciple Le Fang Ling has passed the test…" Elder Shen gestured towards the chief disciples and gave a slight nod to Elder Lin.

He handed the bamboo token that was given to him to Le Fang Ling and added in a stern voice," But of course with 0 points in all aspects."

"If you do not show your worth in the official assessment test in 6 months, I am sure you know what I mean." Elder Shen flashed a look at Le Fang Ling.

"This junior understands Elder Shen." She clasped her palms right in front of her and gave a bow.

"And that goes for the beast you are carrying as well." Elder Shen motioned towards the white tail that was sticking out and gently swaying to and fro.

"For her?" Le Fang Ling held out Nagina without any reservation.

"Yes, although I have never seen someone raising a magical beast from scratch." He gently stroked his beard as he thought about the possibility of it going down the drain because there was no guarantee of it being useful in future.

It might or might not become a high grade beast.

"It's fine even if she does nothing else." Le Fang Ling gave a wide smile that was beaming with pride. She was like an Asian parent who were flexing their child to their relatives.

"All she has to do is  be  cute as she is."

"Ahh…okay..Yes.." Elder Shen let out a tiny cough and stepped back. He had nothing to say to the simp over here.

"You two can leave." He showed them the exit way and with that, announced the end of the orientation and assessment event.

He was more than happy to finally wrap up this tiresome event.

Seeing Le Fang Ling accepting the token and walking down the stage , An Cheng let out a sigh of relief and her tensed nerves finally relaxed.

Well, it was not the case for other people though. Some were displeased by how Elder Lin stepped up for her and even Elder Shen was lenient to her.

"Tch, the privileged people getting all the benefits. Despicable."

Qiqi stood up from her seat and walked away fuming in anger. Soon, others followed and in a few minutes the whole training ground only had a few students remaining.

"Now, let's see what we can do with this name tag." Le Fangling traced her name on it with her fingers.

"Wait a minute there!" A hand reached out and grabbed her out of nowhere making her freeze on the spot.

"W-What is it Elder Lin?" She asked stuttering as she looked at the zoomed in face of Elder Lin who appeared out of nowhere.

"I hope you haven't forgotten about tonight." Elder Lin gave a small wink and before hearing what Le Fang ling had to say, left quietly.

'Is she in a good mood?' Le Fangling looked at her walk away humming a soft tune with a complicated look on her face.
