Chapter 87 - The Two Chiefs Fight
Chapter 87: The Two Chiefs Fight
Before Zhao Jianjian could finish, he was startled by Brother Nan’s actions. He propped himself on the guardrail and leaped over it.
He also tried to scale the guardrails of the back field. After all, going this way would save time.
Unfortunately… He couldn’t leap over.
He wasn’t sure if it was because his legs were too short.
In short, Brother Nan only told him, “Go back.” Then, he took his backpack and walked away.
That tall, slender back was downright attractive.
No wonder all the female students had been going crazy whenever they saw Brother Nan lately.
However, how was he supposed to go over?
He didn’t have to go the long way, did he?
Zhao Jianjian was melancholic.
There was no other way. He could only tempt fate. Thus, he changed his stance.
He was armed with a scarf anyway. It was unlikely that he would be recognized.
Unfortunately, reality proved that he was too naive!
Who knew, maybe it was because he’d done something wrong!
He’d merely turned the corner when he bumped into a big group of students from No.1 Middle School who seemed like they had been intentionally waiting there.
Initially, they had been watching the back field.
However, when they caught sight of him, their gazes turned in Zhao Jianjian’s direction.
“What the f*ck!”
Zhao Jianjian could not help but curse in a low voice.
Was it too late to call for Brother Nan to come and save him?
Meanwhile, Feng Nai was already waiting in the school’s back field.
Just like Mo Bei had thought, except for him, all the other No.1 Middle School students had been notified not to come here today.
Instead, they had surrounded the perimeter of the field.
This was also why Zhao Jianjian had run into so many people.
After all, Young Master Feng had never done anything like this before. He had never named someone that he wanted to fight alone against.
Fighting alone also meant that they should not let anyone else disrupt him.
Probably because of his profession, Feng Nai was always wearing a huge black mask on his face along with his school uniform, only revealing a pair of eyes. This would always lead people to think of the adjective ‘good-looking’.
However, it also made him seem even harder to mess with.
He was seeking revenge today, so he had prepared baseball bats in advance.
One of them was being casually held in his hand as he leaned against the railing. When he looked at Mo Bei, who was walking over with her backpack, Feng Nai lifted his eyelids and straightened up. Then, he shot a look at Mo Bei. “Grab one.”
Mo Bei looked at the baseball bats on the ground. Her gaze was very calm and a hand was in her pocket as she bent slightly and picked up the bat. She then said coldly, “No matter who wins and who loses today, after the fight, everything that’s happened will stay in the past.”
Feng Nai responded with an “mm” sound in a languid manner as he said, “Avoid some spots. No hitting arms and shoulders. You still have a competition three days from now.”
Mo Bei’s countenance remained unchanged. “Competition?”
“I arranged it.” When Feng Nai said this, he glanced sideways at the baseball bat in his hand for a moment. “This time, you’ll be playing the assassin position.”
Mo Bei looked up. She was speculating why this person would suddenly change her position. She was a support after all.
After a lot of thought, she eventually realized there was only one reason.
He had noticed something…
“When I joined the team, it was indicated that my position would be support.” As Mo Bei looked at him, even her gaze was indifferent.
Feng Nai let out an “oh”. His tone was so languid that it was calling for a beating. “Still remember what the Dark Flares’ team rule was? Listen to me.”
Upon hearing that, Mo Bei’s profile became a few degrees colder.
Suddenly, Feng Nai pressed in slowly and turned his head, his messy locks shifting as he whispered something in her ear.
This made Mo Bei tighten her grip on the baseball bat in her hand.
