The Divine Wolf... or?

Chapter 94: Finally Back!

Before anyone could be shocked by Thufrat's abrupt laughter, he started talking.

"I guess you haven't eaten in months pal, let's get you something to eat!"

Reality hit the rest of the people present, and they all broke out into melodious laughter as well. Ark was a little embarrassed, but he was way too hungry to care right now. Thufrat didn't delay any further, and just took out plenty of food from his spatial bag. Ark couldn't contain himself at all and instantly devoured all the food that was put before his nose.

Thufrat didn't hold back at all and just kept taking out food from his spatial bag. After about 5 minutes, Thufrat's entire food supply was completely gone.

Ark still wasn't completely satisfied, but he had eaten enough to not be especially hungry at the very least. After eating all that Thufrat had, Ark's mind had cleared up a little, and when he looked around, he was instantly shocked! Even though he was wearing a hood that covered a good part of his face, Ark had great perception, and he could instantly recognize Leo.

Well, he still had no idea that his name was Leo, but he knew him as the kid that was left behind after getting summoned.

What surprised Ark, even more, was not just that he was here, but his strength. Ark was an Overlord Elemental Wolf, a creature loved by all the elements. Since that was the case, he had become exceptionally good at perceiving other people's strength, and this young man was even stronger than Thufrat. Still not at his own level, but not that far from it, at the least from the looks of things.

There was a woman next to this young man that had an inexplicable aura. Even though he was an Overlord Elemental Wolf, he had no idea about what sort of strength this woman kept hidden.

At the same time, Alenia, Leo, and Laurelia were all a little shocked when they saw Ark. Neither Alenia nor Leo had any idea what his species were, all they knew was his dignified bearing and aura. Laurelia had read legends about such wolves that roamed the continent long ago, but they were supposed to be extinct now.

The wisdom the wolf's eyes contained didn't belong to that of a simple animal either, they now understood why Thufrat would go to such lengths to help this wolf.

Since imposing on the Windrunner family, even more, would be impolite, to say the least, they decided to leave the place. They had nothing to gain from being here anyway, it would only restrict their freedom and what they could do.

Some elders of the family had arrived here a little while ago since they had sensed that the seal had been broken by force, but seeing the situation, they decided not to interfere.

Since this dwarf had the power to move The Heavenly Beast Master, he surely wasn't someone ordinary by any means. All they did when they passed by was bow and greet the Heavenly Beast Master. After walking for a while, they arrived at an inn. Thufrat told Ark on the way that he had told them Ark's secret. Ark instantly became wary of the people surrounding him.

He trusted Thufrat's judgment, but he couldn't help but be skeptical of these people. If his secret ever got out, his life in relative peace would be completely over, and he was a little flabbergasted by the fact that these people knew his secret.

He wasn't angry with Thufrat though, maybe slightly disappointed, but he didn't really know the circumstances, and he decided to not pass any judgment before he did.

After they entered the inn, Ark quickly entered a separate room and turned into his human form. Thufrat had returned his spatial bag earlier, and he quickly put on a new set of clothes. He had been living in this world for a while, and considering that he was asleep for months, his facial hair had grown a little out of control.

Ark was never a fan of his facial hair and instantly groomed it with the help of wind magic.

After doing so, he created a small mirror made out of ice magic and nodded at his appearance. Considering the importance of the people that Thufrat had pulled along, he wanted to look proper at the very least. Everyone else was waiting down in the lobby, and when they saw Ark, surprise became evident from all of their expressions.

Ark had originally been handsome, but now that he had been living and evolving in this world, he looked even better. His golden eyes were especially charming.

Even though Alenia and Leo had heard that the wolf could transform into a human back in Liverence, they had put it at the back of their heads, and it wasn't something they had the time to really think about. When Ark walked up to them, he first stopped in front of Laurelia and bowed. "Thank you for saving my life!

I have no idea what happened, but I'll be sure to repay you if I ever get the chance to!"

Laurelia was a little surprised by the courtesy and level of intelligence of this wolf, it seemed no different than a human or other intelligent race. She smiled gently. "No need to repay me, I was just doing someone a favor, as for what happened to you, I can tell you somewhere else." She looked around at the end of her sentence.

Ark got her message, eager ears were everywhere, speaking about such a secret out in the open would be abnormally stupid.

After nodding, he kept walking and stopped in front of Alenia. "I heard a little from Thufrat, thanks for looking out for him!" Ark flashed her a rare smile, which seemed to lighten up the surroundings, both literally and figuratively. The light mana in the air reacted when he smiled after all.

"Don't worry about it, if anything, I should be thankful. Without him, I would've died!"

When he heard this, he glanced at Thufrat in the corner of his eyes and grinned a little. It seemed like this friend of his had finally found someone. Ark seemed to remember something as he did.

"Ah, I forgot to introduce myself just then. My name's Ark, I hope we'll get along!" Considering his intelligence, no one was really surprised that Ark had a name, even if it was pretty rare for magical beasts unless they were a beast tamer's contracted beast. But they could easily tell that it wasn't the case here. After his introduction, however, his stomach suddenly growled a little more.

This time the other's could see an obvious blush on his face, but no one minded it. After chatting a little, they just decided to eat some food at a nearby restaurant. The establishment was fairly popular, and after a while, a big pile of dishes was laid out in front of them on the table. Not only Ark, but Thufrat had also gone all-out this time, and they ate to their hearts' content.

A small wind barrier was set up around the table, stopping others from listening in on their conversation. Laurelia was in the middle of explaining Ark's problem. "The reason you went on a rampage laid in your soul. Because of inner conflict, your beastly instincts took over which resulted in your rampage. The only thing I did was calm your soul down."

Ark's eyebrows furrowed. "Then is there anything I can do to prevent it from happening again?"

Laurelia sighed. "Thufrat told me you ended up like that because of mana deficiency. For now, just avoid that, I have no other advice except growing stronger. If you grow stronger, then your soul's strength will naturally follow. A strong soul seldom has an inner conflict."

Ark was a little dejected. It seemed like he had to be a little careful in the future with his mana.

Whilst in the middle of their conversation. Strange mana fluctuations suddenly appeared in front of Laurelia, disturbing their discussion...
