Chapter 829: Chapter 827-Shepherd's Path Of Leading.
The portal and the world flashed around me as I arrived back at the academy, my gaze first fixed on the teleportation room, which is a bit more secure and more elite, being provided towards the higher-standing students that have great power and prestige within the academy. Nihil had silently followed me inside as the two of us walked into the hall.
My presence, rarely seen like this on the outside, caught the eyes of everyone in the hall as I gave them a light, respectful nod. It gave me a small hit to my ego that I am trying to keep in check, they all in response gave me a nod back as I spoke to Nihil.
"Let's go."
With that, we started to move through the place, my gaze landing on the outside of the hall as I stepped into it. The moment I did, the eyes coming to me doubled, several of the students and teachers moving around, looking and gawking at me as the various negative and positive emotions started to hit me.
Some intense emotions from the girls and some powerful pushes coming from the boys, select emotions of a bit of awe and recognition from the ones outside of the academy-the organisational kids brought up in their safe 'homes', teaching them just how precious and talented they are.
"Looks like you are also a bit famous," I spoke in a teasing tone as I also felt the gazes that went towards Nihil. The duties and enemies I gave him to take down already has created a name for himself within the academy, striking him among the top positions.
"This is all thanks to you," Nihil directly responded, making me smirk, my gaze then being held forward as I pushed my aura around me, influencing the surroundings. Slowly pushing away anyone I don't want coming near me, I can already read the intentions of a lot of people around who just want to form at least even a small level of connection with me. That's the normal situation.
Even though the ones in this hall are of significant power and prestige, I can still feel their greed to come close to me, to get to know me, to form their connections with me-the same being true for even some of the teachers moving around. The girls wished to push themselves close to me, to try their luck to get some kind of attention from me.
Then there are the ones from the organisations, all of them looking at me like some hungry sharks, just waiting to find some kind of weakness they can use, to find anything that can be used against me, but coming out fully empty-handed, which was making me smile.
I had already gotten the report from Tron, heading the DarkNight division in the academy, about the attempts of all the organisations trying their best to see if they could find any dirt about me. Shuffling and shuffling through it all to find that one thread to bring down my reputation, but sadly, they keep coming out empty-handed.
The situation is that my reputation is spotless. After the war, I had led and the people I had technically saved, there is not much of an enemy I have within the academy itself that would want to go against me, and even trying to get hold of my personal life is also not that useful. Isn't the information on that drier than they can imagine?
Ever since coming to the academy, other than times to show off and become great, I have kept my public appearances very few, creating a more mysterious aura around me that is hard to get rid of. It helps to keep me as an enigma, and it also protects me from the eyes of the rest who want to hurt me in any way.
'They can't find any weakness in strength, so they are trying to smear my reputation.'
I laughed internally at that thought, these ideas no doubt came from the hands of those smart individuals working around the clock to create ways to raise the power within the academy. Yet sadly for them, I lay as the hardest hurdle for them to cross.
"Are we teleporting from here or using a chariot?" Nihil asked as we walked out of the teleportation centre, the eyes of almost all the students and teachers moving around focused fully on me as I stood outside at the door, all of them were in a daze or at least trying to get back their breathing from the effect my total charisma is having on them. Right now, the total moving population is a bit smaller than before due to the Luna incident, yet there still exists a large crowd that is gazing at me.
"Um... Let's walk."
I spoke, giving an unexpected answer, after which I took the first step down the stairs, my presence fully filling the place and still pushing away the ones not within a certain power range, stopping them from approaching me as I kept my foot to the ground. Nihil followed around me with a mean, still face as our walk began, the man not questioning me as he just kept his pace behind me.
My back was straight and focused as the two of us walked forth, the eyes of everyone not leaving me as I walked through the roads. The efficient students moving around, the powerful ones, the spies, the losers, the intellectuals, the couples, the singles, the teachers-all of them focused on me as I walked through the road towards my more hidden mansion.
I was currently at the more open location for housing and such within the academy, which can only be owned by the best of the best. And in a way, this whole place belongs to my faction, just as all the other factions have their turf. This is mine, where I shine, and now I am giving many of my followers a chance to see who it is that they follow.
My presence slowly started to leak out more as its target covered over me. This being my turf doesn't mean that only my members move here; the spies, the friends of my faction members, and the people living throughout the area move through this location. It only placed me on a higher pedestal as I walked through the road.
The whole place around me shined with the residential beauty, with buildings spread about in the European style, beautiful green roads, and flowers spread about as the street I was walking through led deeper into the area of the mansion where the head location of my faction stays.
Thus, I walked with Nihil on my back, and it would seem that the whole world seemingly froze to gaze at me. As I walked, the whole world parted for me, the gazes of everyone focused, my pressure pushing them aside, my charisma keeping their gazes on me as I walked. This whole place, which usually shines with the sound of talks and people, was completely silent.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
Now, the main sound heard everywhere was the sound of my steps, the sole of my shoe hitting the ground as I walked, being the main sound present. Everyone just looked on as I walked, my hands held against my back, a small smile on my face as I walked the simple yet soft steps forward, not a single entity to block my path.
Just like an arrow being formed, I became the tip. The members and space in front of me split open like a hot knife through butter. And as if possessed by something, the ones that stopped talking started to follow behind me, a huge wave falling behind me as I took these light steps forward. The world seemingly opened up for me as I entered the path towards the head
faction mansion.
My faction members of mine are doubling from before, as I can see all of my members moving here and there. All of them were heavy at work, but, as always, as they saw me, their leader, they froze. Everything froze for them as I walked through this sea of people that froze. I didn't ignore them like the rest.
The light smile on my face widened into a friendlier smile as I nodded at some of them as I passed by. My nod only brought them out of their daze as I passed them. The situation of a saviour walking and the world following around him happened as I reached the gate of the mansion, which was kept open.
The paid guards, too, were in a daze as I stood at the depths of the gate, the smile on my face
now lighter as I spoke to the guards.
"Are you going to let all of them in?"
My question finally breaking them out of their mind fell as their eyes gazed behind me, soon seeing the sea of people filling up the whole place, having followed after me, standing in attention, holding their breath as I stood at the lead. The people gathered behind me, forming a huge wave whose end could not be seen at all.
