Chapter 119: Rescue
Chapter 119: Rescue
“But how should we distribute the rescue unit for Fang Yu? We cannot just let all the Generals go with you.” Eleanor suddenly said. She was had been uncharacteristically quiet ever since Wang Hao’s rebel army met with the Immortal God Sect Disciples.
“Do not worry, I already have three names in my mind now.” Wang Hao then pointed his fingers to three of the six generals.
“You, you and you.” The generals that he chose were Sebastian, Celestia and the unnamed one.
“Hmm..... any reasons for wanting to use them?”
“Well, I had to prioritize stealth against sheer presence. As you can see, Fred is a big no-no. He can be easily spotted just as he was about to come!”
“As for Galena, she was too rough and unrestrained for this kind of activity. As for Mimi.... well, her loud personality will be a huge bother for us.”
“Who are you calling a bother! Take that back!” Mimi furiously complained.
But Wang Hao knew that answering her will just lead to more questioning. So he just kept mum about it.
“As for the remaining Generals, they are to stay here in the camp. Who knows, some may attack this place when we leave. Eleanor, please guide them in my stead.”
“Ok! I will do my best!”
“Hey Wang Hao,” Tang Ya asked him before they left. Wang Hao could see that Tang Ya’s eyes still had some infatuation in it. “How are we going to find where Fang Yu is? Did you put any tracker or something else on her?”
“I did not.”
“Then how are we going to find her?”
“Do not worry, I have a way.”
“.......”
Wang Hao was of course confident that he can find Fang Yu. Sensing her energy signature was enough for him to find her.
Using this sensing of his, he determined that Fang Yu was just at the border of the Solstice Kingdom. As for why she was brought there, Wang Hao had no answer for that.
But what made him worried was that there were 50 Dao Core and 5 Dao Soul Practitioners guarding Fang Yu. As for No.5, Wang Hao sensed that he just left, heading towards the Forest of Death.
Wang Hao’e eyes constricted, as he remembered Tang Ya commenting earlier that Fang Lin headed for the Forest of Death.
It seems like even with his disguise, Fang Lin’s location still had been determined by the Fang Clan.
But Fang Lin knew that since Fang Yu and Fang Lin were connected, Fang Lin would have already realized what happened to Fang Yu. That will give him enough time to prepare against or maybe avoid No.5.
But Wang Hao did not know that Fang Lin had temporarily cut off his connection with Fang Yu. Because of this, Fang Lin had no idea on what was going to happen to him.
Wang Hao believed on his misunderstandings as he put Fang Lin’s matter at the back of his mind. He was now focused on saving Fang Yu.
He suppressed a grin on his face as he asked his teammates,
“Is there a way to force the queen to spawn her minions today?”
“Huh?”
............
While Wang Hao was busy on explaining his master plan to the rescue team, the person who was about to be rescued was actually in a great situation.
Instead of being chained or thrown in a dark place, Fang Yu was instead brought to a pleasant, comfortable looking house.
Outside the house, around 50 Third Stage practitioners were milling around. They were clearly here for security.
Once they were near the door, No.5. pushed Fang Yu past those doors. Fang Yu tried to look back to curse at No.5. But he was already nowhere to be found.
Fang Yu never lowered her vigilance as she looked around, quite wary. She then heard footsteps coming towards her. Upon looking towards the source, what she saw made her feel nervous.
This person that was walking towards her was Fang Lin’s grandmother, Fang Jia!
Before Fang Lin was exiled by the Fang Clan, it was his grandmother who doted on him the most. Even when Fang Lin had been exiled by the clan, his grandmother still wanted to help him. But due to the strictness of the Fang Clan, his grandmother had been imprisoned too.
Fang Yu was clearly happy upon seeing that Granny Jia had been freed. But she cannot show that she knew her since Fang Jia was seeing her Yin body.
But what Fang Jia said almost made her cough some blood.
“I hope you are enjoying your stay here, my future granddaughter-in-law.”
“What???”
...................
When Fang Yu was brought away by No. 5., an unfortunate bystander was implicated too.
This bystander was the adorable Tang Li. She was perched on her usual spot on top of Fang Yu’s head when No. 5. grabbed her.
Because of the sheer speed that No.5. employed, poor Tang Li lost her grasp on Fang Yu high in the sky. She could only watch in dismay as No. 5. disappeared from her line of vision.
She tried sensing Fang Yu’s bloodline but to her dismay, it was blocked by something that Tang Lin does not know.
“Muu... Sis, where are you?” Tang Li flew in circles as she panicked, clearly disoriented from the loss of her beloved Sis.
She stopped herself from crying, since she remembered her mother saying that good babies must not cry. She nibbled her nails as she forced her naïve mind to find a way to save Fang Yu.
But in the end, Tang Li was just a baby.
Out of sheer desperation, Tang Li decided to rush towards the direction that No. 5. went through. She thought this was the best thing to do now.
But before she could fly away, she felt a pair of hands covering her body. She tried to struggle, but then she heard a voice saying,
“Hush little baby, go to sleep now.”
Tang Li could not control her droopy eyes as it went shut. Her mind went blank as her drowsiness overtook her consciousness.
The person who put her to sleep put her in a baby basket. This person then disappeared, without leaving any trace that he/she passed by here.
...............
“Crack!” The 50th game board shattered again as Xiao Ya had her 50th consecutive win. The Fang Clan Patriarch might be a good schemer, but he sucked at playing board games.
“Are you done now? I still have some business to do.”
“Done? I am not done yet! Look!” The patriarch waved his hands as more game boards appeared.
Thousands and thousands of them.
“Are you sure you want to go through this?” Veins started popping on Xiao Ya’s forehead.
She crossed her arms in front of her as she said, “I am pissed with your attempts to stop me from leaving. But since it has come to this, then let me have the satisfaction of making you suffer endless defeats!!!
“Sigh, at least let me have even just one win.” The Fang Clan Patriarch sullenly pleaded.
“Ha? If I let you win once, will you let me leave?”
“Definitely not.”
“Then prepare to get destroyed.”
