The Chronicles of the Immortal God

Chapter 107: Patriarch

Chapter 107: Patriarch

Immortal God Sect.

Xiao Ya idly played with her crystal ball. This was an artifact she used to spy upon Fang Yu. Of course, Fang Yu did not know anything about it.

Xiao Ya had seen everything that Fang Yu did in the Solstice Kingdom. She gritted her teeth hard when she saw Fang Yu’s prolific activity with Empyrea. With her high cultivation base, Xiao Ya knew all about Empyrea’s true identity.

She had also witnessed Ling Tian’s maneuvering against Fang Yu. Xiao Ya sighed, deciding to not worry that much about Fang Yu.

Xiao Ya wanted Fang Yu to be more experienced in life. That was the reason she had Fang Yu join the experiential training.

If Xiao Ya decides to help Fang Yu now, won’t that beat the purpose of her training?

So Xiao Ya just watched Fang Yu getting house arrested. Xiao Ya knew that with Fang Yu’s status, even Ling Tian will think twice about killing her.

But if Ling Tian uses his information to torment Fang Yu..... Xiao Ya will make it sure that Ling Tian will be full of regret before his death.

“Sniff sniff.” While Xiao Ya was watching over Fang Yu, she held a piece of cloth in her hands. Xiao Ya held it with both of her hands as she occasionally hovered it on her nose.

“Sniff sniff.”

This piece of cloth was Fang Yu’s handkerchief. Before Fang Yu left for the expedition, Xiao Ya told Fang Yu to leave her personal clothing behind and wear new clothes. Xiao Ya reasoned out that it was to ensure that Fang Yu will feel as if she was a new person in the experiential training.

Of course, Fang Yu was easily duped by her master. She left behind her clothes, underwear and other stuff to Xiao Ya.

Xiao Ya had stored all of Fang Yu’s things on her storage. As for her handkerchief, Xiao Ya was using it as her personal ‘refresher’.

“Sniff sniff.”

Fang Yu’s fresh and fragrant smell was still present on her handkerchief. Xiao Ya’s eyes closed in satisfaction as she deeply inhaled Fang Yu’s handkerchief.

“Sniff sniff.”

Xiao Ya swore deeply to herself that out of all people she had met, Fang Yu had the best smell.

“Sigh.”

Xiao Ya sighed and hid Fang Yu’s handkerchief on her storage. She looked annoyed as she stared at a distance.

Seconds later, and someone rushed in towards Xiao Ya’s room. This person was Xiao Meng, Xiao Ya’s sister.

“Sis, what are you doing here now, I was quite..... busy.” Xiao Ya also hid the crystal ball before Xiao Meng could notice it. “Is there a very important news that you had to tell me now?”

“There is an important news indeed.” Xiao Meng said with a grave expression.

“Tell it to me now! Don’t you dare use suspense on me! Is this related to Fang Yu and Fang Lin?”

“Yes, and that’s the reason I decided to talk to you about it.”

“Stop dilly-dallying then! I am Fang Yu’s master!”

“Well then.” Xiao Meng took a deep breath as she started to speak. Her eyes narrowed as she watched Xiao Ya’s reaction.

“Do you remember everything about that No. 5 of the Fang Family?”

“That one? Hmph, he could not even step on the Sixth Stage yet. He was lucky I did not blast him apart when I saw him lurking outside the sect. I was in a good mood at that time. So what about him?”

“Actually, we had encountered him before he went to the Immortal God Sect. Me and my useless husband was of course defeated miserably.”

“That’s a half-step Sixth Stage powerhouse you are talking about. You two were lucky you are still alive.”

“Yeah I get it.” Xiao Meng was mildly irritated by Xiao Ya’s remarks. Xiao Ya seemed to be really talented on infuriating other people.

“After that clash, we decided to have that person’s movement tracked.”

“Don’t tell me.... you used one of your tracking seals? You only have limited amount of them! Are you sure you want to use it on that guy?”

“I am sure!” Xiao Meng said indignantly. “If you do not know, my daughter was smitten for both Fang Yu and Fang Lin. As their future mother-in-law, I had to make sure they are safe.”

“.........”

“Oh, I forgot that you are always salivating over that disciple of yours. You must step it up, or my daughter might take Fang Yu for herself.”

“Do you think I worry about that? Let’s not talk about that for now. Continue your story.”

“So, I put my tracking seal on No. 5. With that seal, I can observe where he goes. I can also hear and see 5 meters around him. But for six months after the disciple selection, No. 5 did nothing but to suppress his flames. Then just earlier, he moved and met with someone.”

Xiao Ya leaned forward, knowing Xiao Meng’s story was reaching its climax.

“The person that No. 5 met was the Patriarch of the Fang Clan!”

“The Patriarch himself?” Xiao Ya’s eyes frowned in confusion. She realized that the matters related to Fang Yu and Fang Lin had been starting to get really complicated.

“So, No.5 told him about all the info he had on Fang Lin. No. 5 then asked him on what to do. The Patriarch then said,”

“Bring Fang Lin and that Fang Yu alive to me.”

“Wait, even Fang Yu?’

Xiao Meng nodded gravely. “That’s what I heard him say. Then No.5 asked him when he will do it. The Patriarch said that No.5 must do it now, during the experiential training of the Immortal God Sect Disciples.” Xiao Ya’s eyes shot up in alarm when she heard this. Xiao Meng then continued saying,

“He said that the Fang Clan had planned this matter for six months. No. 5 had to only go at the Solstice Kingdom and receive his orders. I wanted to hear more, but No.5 and the Patriarch parted ways already. My tracking seal also reached its time limit. I had no choice but to immediately tell you about it.”

“Why did you not just use your divine sense to tell me about it? That could be way faster than you personally saying it to me!”

“Hey, of course I tried that! But when I attempted to send you a divine sense message, someone suddenly attacked me. I am sure that person who attacked me was one of the Fang Clan’s punishers!”

“So you defeated him then?”

“Actually, I am still fighting him now.” Xiao Meng said apologetically.

“Ah, so that’s the reason why you only sent your clone in here. Since it’s just a clone, it cannot use divine sense. Thank you Sis Meng, I am going there now to help you.” Xiao Ya stood up as she tried to leave the Immortal God Sect. “After helping you, we will rush towards the Solstice Kingdom.”

But before she could leave, she heard a boisterous laughter rippling across the Immortal God Sect. A person descended from the sky and approached the Immortal God Sect. Xiao Ya’s worst fears were confirmed when she saw who this person was.

It was the Fang Clan Patriarch!

“Greetings Xiao Ya,” The patriarch said with a smile. “I feel lucky today. Why don’t we play our favorite board games?” He waved his hand as multitudes of assorted board games whirled around him. “I feel I can beat you today.”

Xiao Ya sighed as she realized she had no way to leave the Immortal God Sect now. She was sure the Fang Clan Patriarch will not allow her to go anywhere.

The Fang Clan seemed to have prepared for this operation for six months. Xiao Ya was sure that the Fang Clan had set up measures to prevent reinforcements from helping Fang Yu and Fang Lin. That means they are on their own now.

“Fang Yu and Fang Lin, I hope both of you can overcome this trial. If you fail.... I will personally storm in the Fang Clan to save both of you!” Xiao Ya swore to herself silently as she looked at the Fang Clan Patriarch.

“You want a game huh? Come here then! I will trash you just like what I did to you years ago!”

“........”
