Chapter 85: Raka Riles POV

Chapter 85: Raka Riles POV

"Is this... the other side... of my story?"

[No Marcus...]

Another familiar voice echoed behind him.

[This is your hidden memory... this is what in reality, happened]

..............

"Fuck, What is this shit?"

Raka banged a blue veil which wrapped Marcus, who was inside, on his knees and unconscious.

Raka sighed as he stared at the protective layer around his opponent. It was just a minute ago that he saw him fall to the ground.

"Right when I thought the match was over, Shit!!"

"Right when it broke through his defense... FUCK!!"

Raka had let his nanobots invade Marcus's body through his ears. What he planned to do was to control Marcus's Neuro system and bring him under his control.

But the prototype he had wasn't as quick as he thought. The nanobots he transmitted to Marcus was his new project which was still in its beta stage and under construction.

He called it Rilebots. The Nanobots or the Rilebots could move freely through any miniature openings. It could pass through anything until it had at least a small opening to pass through, no matter what size.

Back when he thought he got Marcus by surprise was when he realized that Marcus had insane reflexes. Even though the bullets he shot were hollow and fake, the power and speed at which it was usually fired were the same, if not faster.

Even his deception magic had limits, specifically when he was in the pocket dimension, already spending large proportions of his mana in maintaining it.

Now he only had Mana left to execute two more of his deception magic tricks. The Mana it took for him to teleport was the major reason why his mana had decreased extensively.

Nevertheless, it went according to his plan. Marcus blocked him just as he thought and while he was distracted, the nanobots on his hand had crept inside Marcus's ears.

It maintained a specific sort of vibration according to Marcus's heartbeat and changed its proportions to fit smoothly and perfectly inside his ear.

It was good luck for Raka because Marcus hadn't somehow discovered the nanobots entering his body. Now the Rilebots were slowly making their way towards Marcus's central nervous system.

Another one of the abilities and the main one of the Rilebots was the characteristics of a parasite. It could attach itself to a specific nerve or connection of both biotic and abiotic organisms equally and eventually control them by releasing certain waves or impulses which weakened the working system.

Right now the progress bar on the watch Raka wore on his hand displayed [35%].

"Tch, it should've been able to take it under control by now..."

Raka spat as he glanced at Marcus in an astonishing manner of gazes.

"This man!! His mental ability is so powerful, yet he slipped... How???"

What Raka was asking himself was facts. At the time when he was imperceptible, he was pretty sure he was indomitable as Marcus had no idea where he was.

"But as I gave him time, he was able to come up with something that could detect even the smallest of my movements."

Raka thought as he scratched his chin, his left hand in his pockets.

"Don't tell me he can create skills on his will... That's so..."

A variety of emotions and a glossary of phrases streamed through his intellect and his heart at the same time.

"That's So OP!!"

His nod was a genuine one as Raka accepted how impressive Marcus's power was. Taking his mood on the outside, Raka would have appeared like a child gawking at something exotic with absolute inquisitiveness.

But inside he was just a beast calculating and furnishing his impressions about his teammate's childhood friend. It wasn't late as he realized one thing. He had seriously underestimated Marcus.

Everything, absolutely everything except his teammates felt like spares and tchotchkes to him. But the man wrapped up by the mysterious veil in front of him was somehow...

"Interesting"

Raka lent a short glance to his watch before strolling towards Marcus. It showed [36%] on the progress bar.

"It's too slow. 15 percent... I have only 15% of mana left"

Raka slowly went beside Marcus and sat with his back against the veil. His right hand was on his right knee. His left leg was straight and relaxed.

Raka let his pocket dimension crumble under his will. The green, sunny horizon fell as the white, polished wall of his room dominated his sight.

Marcus was on the very corner of the room and Raka was leaning against the veil covering him. The table was in front of him and the door was locked.

"What is this thing anyway?"

He forced his elbow back and banged the Veil, it turned out to be in vain, just like he thought it would.

Raka recalled the events that led to this mysterious incident.

"Did he have some sort of firewall?... Did the nanobots trigger this veil?"

He yet again recalled the incident. This time making sure that all of his intellect was delivered to his concentration.

*PING*

Dozens of memories flickered and paraded their way in front of his mind screen. He evaded and swerved through unnecessary ones till he arrived at the one he desired.

The 1v1 vs Marcus G Orno.

"Let me guess what you are thinking... You are probably thinking that the next attack won't be an explosion or an area damage attack because I am this close to you"

Raka chuckled.

"Dude Marcus you suck!!. Why in the galactic fuck are you hesitating when am just frigging 3 meters away from you?"

Raka heard his voice yell inside his memories.

"You should stop being a shounen character who thinks of a thousand possibilities before attacking the enemy. Seriously!! It's becoming a bit old and clich."

"Ahh"

He remembered it now.

Raka chuckled, his eyes were still closed and he was still in his memory as it ran in the background while he speculated and pointed out each of his words.

"I was just trying to buy time for the nanobots..."

"I can say, Marcus... You are delusional aren't you?"

His memory kept on running, even when he didn't want it to. But the words he spouted caught his attention.

Raka was inside the memory, his body somehow realistically mobile inside. Little did he know, the veil he was leaning against had shaped his thoughts into a body and shoved it inside his memories.

"I can sense it...No, haha I can see it in your eyes. You know how death feels like, don't you?. I know this makes no sense but I feel like you died at least a hundred times before."

{Raka stares MOTHERFUCKERLY}

{At Himself}
