Ch.198 The Vest Dropped Again (2)

The production team had booked the town’s three-star hotel. They respectively touched themselves up on the same day while filming started on the second day.

Prior to arrival, Qiao Moyu went to a Taoist temple in the northern suburbs of the Imperial City. She had picked out a few letters and ultimately decided on a few.

There was one letter from Yucheng particular that asked for a blessing.

It was from a small folk band whose members were all locals from Yucheng. They consisted of three men and two women, and one of the lead singers only had one arm.

They had just graduated from university this year, but the citizens in their small area attached much importance to reputation, and thus did not think that a folk band was a proper career. The people hoped they would obediently work in their local employments.

The band members were all young people who chased a dream so they naturally did not want to bury their ideals. After they traveled to the Imperial City, there was no shortage of bands so it was a struggle to stick out. Thus, if the band fails to develop any further and they continue to be pressured financially, they would be forced to disband.

They had heard from others that Priest Qingyin was incredible so everyone wanted to try receiving her blessing. Additionally, they also recorded a few songs specifically for Qiao Moyu.

Qiao Moyu had seen their videos on the internet before when she was at home. At first, she only wanted to check them out, but their performance unexpectedly moved her.

Qiao Moyu did not understand music but music is said to represent the sound of a soul. She instinctively liked the voice of the lead singer and was also infected by the enthusiasm of other members in the band.

The way of cultivation paid particular attention to the word, “fate”. She happened to see their letter then liked their music; now that she was heading to Yucheng soon, everything seemed to be set up for their blessing, which gave her no reason to refuse.

Once Qiao Moyu arrived at the hotel at Yucheng, she gave them a call and arranged to go over and bless them in the afternoon.

Qiao Moyu knew she would be performing a blessing so all the equipment were prepared. She put on her makeup and robes, then quietly walked out of the hotel and took a taxi.

Outside the hotel beside a big tree, the female no.3 actress who was smoking in the direction of the taxi quickly said to the person on the phone, “Ha ha, I just saw someone wearing a Daoist robe with a heavy coat over!”

The person on the phone also laughed, “Daoist robe? You sure, you aren’t blind?”

“No!” Female no.3 laughed, “She even had a Daoist hairstyle. In this day and age, Daoist priests stay in hotels!”

They both idly chatted then quickly switched to another topic.

Yucheng was not big so Qiao Moyu arrived at the studio in a short time.

As for the blessing, she did it routinely with ease. The opposite party did not look down on her youth at all but regarded Qiao Moyu as their saviour.

The road to the studio was quite lively. However it was still working hours on a work day so there were not many people around.

Qiao Moyu danced a little while with the duster and put on an act then went straight to the crucial procedure. At this moment, a middle-aged man came in.

Qiao Moyu looked at him and immediately her heart made a thud. Was this not the lighting engineer of production crew?

The lighting engineer was also stunned to see the scene inside. After, he saw his nephew and all the band members giving him a shh motion.

The lighting engineer did not speak anymore and watched with the band of young people while Qiao Moyu performed the blessing ceremony.

The paper talisman ignited then melted into the water. Qiao Moyu sprinkled the water from the talisman onto the band’s plaque and the members’ bodies until it could be considered a success.
