Chapter 62 - 62 Black Market
62 Black Market
When Shi He saw the message, he immediately stopped reading and ran to the private lounge to call Shi Man repeatedly to confirm her safety.
Shi Man’s phone was running a special technology. This was developed by her in her previous life. The only flaw was that it could temporarily block signals.
She still did not know about the scandal that had been exposed online. She frowned as she stared at the location of the light spots on the screen moving quickly. Just as she was about to approach the black market, a few rough breathing sounds suddenly entered her ears.
Shi Man quickly put away her phone and looked up in the direction of the voices. She saw a few men with tattooed arms standing in front of her.
!!
“We finally found you. Come with us?”
The man in the lead was bald and had a red silk scarf stuffed into his shirt pocket. He looked out of place.
Shi Man took a step back to avoid his strong stench. She said expressionlessly, “A good dog doesn’t block the way.”
“You little bitch, how dare you insult me!” The man with yellow hair and teeth stains could be seen as he spoke. He immediately pointed at Shi Man and scolded her angrily.
“Don’t be so rough on a little girl.” The bald man rubbed his hands wretchedly and sized Shi Man up. A trace of lechery flashed across his eyes. “We have to be patient with beauties. Girl, didn’t we agree that you’ll be with whoever finds you first tonight? Why are you changing your mind when you see me?”
Shi Man frowned slightly and looked at the three people in front of her as if they were retarded. “I don’t know you. You’ve found the wrong person.”
“Why would I?” The bald man turned around and glanced behind him. “I’m just reminding you out of kindness. Don’t go any further. That’s not a place for a delicate little girl. It’s better to have a good night with your brothers!”
Shi Man snorted and bent down to take out a silver dagger from her boot. Before the three of them could react, she flashed to the bald man’s side and kicked the other two who were stunned to the corner of the wall. The dagger was firmly placed in front of the bald man’s neck.
“If you want him dead, go ahead.”
The cold voice fell into their ears, causing them to tremble in fear.
The bald man shrunk his neck in fear and said with a trembling voice, “Let’s talk things out, sister. We have no ill intentions.”
“Cut the crap.” Shi Man could not be bothered to waste time with them. She cut the dagger into his flesh. Seeing the blood flowing down his neck and into his clothes, she retracted her gaze in satisfaction and said sinisterly, “Get lost with your men now. If you dare to appear in front of me again, I’ll immediately take your wretched lives.”
“Alright, alright.” The bald man swallowed his saliva and agreed with a dull gaze.
She withdrew the dagger and rubbed the blood off his shirt in disgust. Then she kicked the bald man’s fat butt and turned into the dark alley that led to the black market.
The bald man was already scared out of his wits. With a sudden kick from her, his body fell to the ground uncontrollably.
When her back completely disappeared into the dark alley, the other two people reacted and hurriedly went forward to help Baldy up. They said angrily, “Big Brother, this woman actually dared to trick us! She said that she would go with whoever found her first, but she actually went back on her word! Let’s go back and find some people first. We’ll teach her a lesson next time!”
“Do I need you to say that?” The bald man was embarrassed in front of his subordinates. He raised his hand and slapped each of them fiercely. “Trash, you can’t even deal with a woman! Get lost! Find a few more brothers and lay an ambush around here every day. I don’t believe we can’t catch her!”
“Yes, Big Brother!” The blondie was not angry after being beaten up. He helped the bald man out of the dark alley with a fawning expression.
Shi Man followed the path until she entered a dark alley. Only then did she confirm that she had come to the wrong place.
Although this place could be called a black market, it was still far from the place she had seen in her previous life. Clearly, it was not the real underground black market in this city. Fortunately, that thing was not rare. There might be one here.
She turned off the black technology and a number of notifications came up on her phone.
Seeing that there were many calls from Shi He, she frowned slightly and called back. Shi He’s suppressed anger came from the other end of the call. “Sister, where are you now? The school said that you took leave this afternoon. Where did you go?”
“I’m out shopping,” Shi Man told the truth, not planning to lie.
Shi He did not heave a sigh of relief when he heard his sister’s words. Instead, he asked nervously, “Where are you shopping? What do you want to buy? Who else is with you?”
The three consecutive questions finally made Shi Man notice that something was amiss. She stopped in her tracks and her gaze landed on a herb in the stall. Her lips curled into a smile as she gestured to the stall owner. “Third Brother, what’s wrong? I came out to buy something myself. Did something happen?”
The man at the stall was a smart person. When he saw that she was on the phone, he tactfully did not say anything. He used hand gestures to communicate with her the entire time. She paid and took the goods neatly. After it ended, Shi Man heard Shi He’s voice on the phone again. “Something happened. Look at the message I sent you.”
