The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 82

82 Mama bear vs Yi Chen

Farida blocked his path and said, “I have always wanted to meet you. It’s truly a pleasure to finally meet you in person,” gathering up all her courage. It’s as if she knew this was her only chance to make a good impression thus she toughened up and said it.

Unfortunately for her, no matter how much of a good impression she made Yi Chen’s focus was entirely on someone else. He stepped aside without a word and followed outside. This little skit of theirs didn’t skip Lin Ruoxi. She saw everything that went down and her heart almost dropped.

Firstly, Yi Chen wasn’t willing to accompany them and said he would only come to pick them up. But seeing him now she knew he never left. That though wasn’t the most shocking thing. The most shocking was that he was actually interested in someone.

It was a girl with a bob hair cut and wearing an A-line apricot cold shoulder midi dress made of mesh material. The colour of the dress complimented her skin tone making her stand out despite her wearing a simple dress. Her body frame leaned towards the boyish side which was beautiful in its own right.

Her makeup was simple enhancing her natural features. She was indeed beautiful but Lin Ruoxi didn’t expect this to be her son’s type. After her son’s figure disappeared she turned to her friend sitting next to her and asked, “Who is that girl with the apricot dress just now?”

“Uh, her... I saw her enter with Master Zi. He has been walking around bragging about his granddaughter. I think he is looking for a match for her,” replied her friend leaving Lin Ruoxi with a meaningful expression.

Her husband would never agree but she couldn’t help but want to pair them up. Why? It was because her son was currently wearing the same expression he had when he saw Hydra for the first time.

He was three years old then but that slight, barely perceptible up turn at the corner of his lip showed how excited he was.

Others may not see it but she saw it clearly. She barely spent as much time with Yi Chen as she did with her two little minions but she still knew him best.

.....

While his mother was trying to come up with a scheme to get him a wife, another mother blocked his path. This mother however wasn’t shipping him with Hanifa. Instead, she was here to issue him another warning.

As he turned the corner Yi Chen was faced with auntie Sheila and he instantly knew who the person under the disguise was. Her eyes were spitting fire like a volcano on the brink of eruption.

“You know I initially thought you were a smart person but it seems like I was wrong.... I guess my last warning wasn’t as effective. Maybe I should have roughed you up a little bit so you can clearly understand the seriousness of this matter,” she said her fiery gaze almost burning holes into his skin.

The threat was loud and clear and for a moment he vowed to stay away from Zi Han. But now that he realised his interest in him was much deeper than he initially thought that vow was tossed out of the window ages ago.

Faced with this Mama bear he should be cowering but when it comes to matters of the heart there was no such thing. “I think you might have misunderstood something. I am your son’s class president and at this point, it is merely impossible to stay away from him,” he said in a calm tone. He would never admit it. Admitting it was like granting oneself early death.

Zi Xingxi snorted coldly as she folded her arms across her chest. “You think I am stupid. You are even following him. Be it Han or Hanifa stay the fuck away from him. Understood?”

Yi Chen lowered his head and brushed his eyebrow with his fingers calming his emotions. He then raised his head and calmly said, “You truly misunderstood. My two siblings aren’t in the reception hall and I am going outside to find them. Now if you excuse me I have things to do.”

The strong smell of gun powder lingered in the air as the two stared at each other for a moment. Zi Xingxi knew this little fucker was up to something but she couldn’t put her finger on it. The Yi family were bad news.

They would do anything to maintain the biggest advantage. Their family Crest was that of a nine-headed serpent. That alone said everything. Zi Xingxi nudged her head slightly gesturing to him to leave.

Zi Han on the other hand had no idea that his mother and the class president had a confrontation. He was walking in the garden fighting with the sleeves on his dress.

Around the corner, two cuties were hiding from their mother. One was sitting on the garden bench playing a game and the other was controlling a flying fairy with her light brain when a group of older boys passed by disturbing their peace.

“Well, well, well. Will you look at that? I didn’t think we would find anyone in this isolated part of the garden,” said the taller redhead boy who was probably the leader in this little squad.

Yi Youxi was familiar with some of them but ignored them intentionally like always. They occasionally said a few words to him but they never went too far because they knew his identity.

“How about it classmate Youxi.... can we hang out with you. Like us you were also forced to be here,” said one brazen one sitting next to Yi Youxi.

Yi Youxi’s personality was far different from Yi Chen’s but that sharp icy gaze was as terrifying as his older brothers.

Frightened the boy got up only for the skinny of the three to grab hold of the flying fairy. “Uh little sister, how can you play with such a childish thing. How about you give this to me and in exchange this older brother will get you a nice-looking drone?”

Ming Ming who had been robbed finally spoke up. “Give it back,” she said as she got up to grab it back. She began to jump up and down like super Mario trying to get a shroom.

Yi Youxi only had to say one sentence for them to stop, “Leave her alone and go bully someone else.” His voice was as calm as an underwater lake but it was as authoritative and domineering as Yi Chen’s.

The skinny boy was terrified but Yi Youxi was younger than him and it would be embarrassing if he walked away without doing anything. So being the idiot he was he said, “Sure..... I will leave her alone,” before throwing the flying fairy over the wall, “see you later... idiot.”

The group of misfits walked away laughing mockingly but Ming Ming wasn’t laughing. She was so mad and when she gets mad she becomes as silent as a chicken.
