Chapter 114
114 Excuse you.... are you wearing it or I am
Now normal people would throw it away but Yi Chen liked Zi Han and would undoubtedly take this opportunity to have an indirect kiss. Yes, some people might say gross but that’s not how Yi Chen saw it.
He naturally raised his hand and took a bite out of the nectarine eating it with relish.
He didn’t like sweet things much but this nectarine seemed to taste really good. A few bites in and the entire thing was gone. He threw away the seed and drank a glass of water with a satisfied look on his face.
When Zi Han came out he was dressed in a red bodycon dress that would have one drooling while whistling like a perverted looney toon character.
Yi Chen’s gaze fell on the alluring figure accentuated by that sexy low-cut dress and his Adam’s apple rolled up and down as he swallowed dryly.
“No,” he said in a hoarse voice as he hastily shifted his gaze up to Zi Han’s face while crossing his legs with his zip-up jacket on his lap.
Zi Han who thought he looked pretty swept his leg and his thigh emerged from the slit on the side. With a humorous smile, he said, “I think I look smexy,” while looking at himself in the mirror.
Yi Chen rubbed his lower lip with his index finger with a smitten appearance before asking, “Not sexy?”
Zi Han spun around checking his ass while saying, “No smexy. Both smart and sexy.... I like it.”
.....
“Uh-uh... no. Try something more conventional,” said Yi Chen taking another sip of water.
Zi Han sneered before walking back into the changing room. Yi Chen tugged at his t-shirt feeling a little hot. He called out to one of the attendants to adjust the temperature of the room.
The boutique was already cool enough. If they reduced the temperature further it might become chilly but since the boss said so he could only comply.
Five minutes later Zi Han came out with an ankle-length floral dress. It suited him well just like the pretty girl next door but Zi Han hated it. Yi Chen liked the idea of concealing the goods from prying eyes but he wasn’t the one wearing it so.....
“I like it,” said Yi Chen but Zi Han shut him down ruthlessly,
“Excuse you.... are you wearing it or I am?”
Yi Chen, “...”
Zi Han, “I thought so.”
The third outfit was a bit of a compromise. Yi Chen liked it very much though he wished it was a few inches lower but who was he kidding. Zi Han wouldn’t agree. He wore a mid-thigh black flared skirt and a white cold shoulder top with black lace-up ankle boots.
He instantly felt a chill creep through his skin creating a layer of goosebumps. “Why is it so cold?” asked Zi Han rubbing his arm in front of the mirror.
Yi Chen whose gaze was transfixed on Zi Han’s thighs covered in see-through stockings absentmindedly responded, “It’s too hot.”
Zi Han turned to look at him and said, “Really?” with an ‘are you fuckin with me’ look on his face.
Realizing he had been caught staring he cleared his throat while straightening his body.
He gestured to the attendant to increase the temperature with a straight face making it hard for one to believe that this was the same person who had asked him to lower the temperature just now.
Attendant, “...”
Zi Han walked over to him and stretched out his hand while saying, “Give it?”
Yi Chen who had no idea what ‘it’ he was referring to grasped the jacket in his lap tightly just in case Zi Han was asking for it. He wasn’t confident with whatever was happening underneath his it thus to prevent any further embarrassment he held on to it.
“Give what?” asked Yi Chen with his adam’s apple bobbing moistening his dry throat.
“My nectarine? I gave it to you to hold it for me. Where is it?” asked Zi Han. He had left the house without eating breakfast and that nectarine was his source of energy.
Yi Chen, “.....”
If he had time he would have loved to ask in the anonymous forum on Starnet,
“How do I tell my crush that I ate their half-eaten nectarine without selling myself out. Urgent, waiting online.”
“I.... I threw it out,” said Yi Chen with regret written all over his face.
The hangry Zi Han, “.....”
“You little.....,” said Zi Han through gritted teeth before trying to pounce on Yi Chen. Yi Chen hastily got up and held his wrists stopping him.
“That’s unladylike,” said Yi Chen but that almost earned him a kick in the shin.
“Unladylike my foot....,” said Zi Han with a roguish smile on his face, “Ah, shit. Wait wait, wait..... put me down, Yi Chen.”
Yi Chen had picked him up and thrown him over his shoulder while carrying him to the hair and make-up studio at the end of the boutique.
Zi Han soon found out that struggling was useless. With his hand propping up his chin and his elbow digging into Yi Chen’s back he said, “You threw away my breakfast yet you didn’t apologize. How cruel.”
Yi Chen placed him in the chair and said, “I am sorry. I will get you something tasty, okay? Just stay here.”
With his arms crossed and a slight furrow on his brows, Zi Han began to ponder. If he leaves now it wouldn’t be too mean, right? But before this thought could fester in his mind he turned his head and saw Yi Chen constantly looking back as though worried that he (Zi Han) would disappear without a moment’s notice.
“Fine, I will stay but you better bring something good,” he muttered as the head stylist instructed a girl to work on Zi Han’s hair.
Zi Han couldn’t stand the constant pulling and tugging with the curling iron on the lace front wig installed on his head. He had done this before when he went to the wedding but his mood was as bad as then.
Luckily Yi Chen brought so many snacks and a healthy smoothie for him otherwise Zi Han would have turned into a hangry monster.
What was funny was how much Yi Chen bought. He was shopping like a first-time dad trying to please his pregnant Mrs. He wasn’t sure if Zi Han was in the mood for something heavy or light, sweet or salty, healthy or delicious so he brought everything and anything he thought tasted good. It was like he had raided an entire aisle of snacks.
He poked the smoothie lid with a straw and brought it to Zi Han’s mouth. The employees wouldn’t dare gossip but they still gave each other looks. They couldn’t believe this was the same indifferent stone-cold person that deterred strangers with one icy glance. It was simply unbelievable.
