Chapter 141: A Discussion In A Traditional Bar
Chapter 141: A Discussion In A Traditional Bar
"Sigh, I don't have any idea as to why he is creating such a mess nowadays...", Young said while sighing.
Res nodded his head and asked, "Ya, if I'm not wrong, he is the one from the other day right? The one who helped all the people from the dungeon?"
Young nodded his head and then continued to drink the beer.
Both of them were quite sober and were tired right now.
'Jay... you are being watched over by the hunter association...'
'Just don't do anything that would make you regret later...', was what Young thought and fell asleep in the table itself.
"Huh?", Res took a look at Young who was now sleeping like a small child.
"Hey..."
"Wake up!"
Rex slapped his cheeks but there was no response. It seemed as if he was in deep asleep and wouldn't wake up anytime soon.
"This is what your reap if you try to compete with menin drinking beers..."
Young has finished more than 8 bottles of beer which had high alcohol concentration whereas Res was drinking his 10th bottle.
"Anyway... now I have to leave him in his home...", while saying this he almost instantly formed a Portal in which Young was sucked in.
It seemed as if the Portal was connected to Young's Room and instea did carrying him all the way, he used this method as it was quite efficient.
"I can't believe that I'm using my powers so carelessly...", he thought.
But he had no other way.
He started to drink another bottle of beer after finishing the 10th bottle and took a look at the news once again.
They were displaying Jay as a mad hunter who had threatened to kill many civilians and injuries once in the hospital.
They even said that no one was ready to stand against him or say anything against him because they were completely terrified.
But then again they found some one or two people who were ready to tell and basically told many bad things about him.
'Tsk... these fake people...', Res had almost immediately realised that the people who were shown in the Tv were fake and were just fabricating everything.
They were probably paid money to say that and that was why the news seemed too overly boasted.
Res was tired of looking at that and wanted to switch off the television when all of a sudden he heard someone speak.
"They are bad mouthing him... and because of this many will target him... won't you protect him?"
"Huh?", Res almost immediately turned back when he heard this.
He was completely shocked to hear this voice because it sounded too familiar to him.
"No... that cant be... it must be my imaginations...", was what he thought and started to drink the 12th bottle of beer after finishing the 11th one.
"I guess this will be the last bottle for today...", was what he said and was drinking it slowly when all of a sudden the voice was heated get again.
"For my sake... won't you protect him for my sake?", was what the voice said.
He stood up immediately while slamming the beer bottle on the table.
"Shut the fuck up!!! This has nothing to do with me!!!", he shouted.
There were still one or two people who were present there who were drinking the beers or other things.
They heard his shout and then were terrified.
Their bodies where shivering and then immediately ran away from the store.
The bar shop owner game right away in order to serve another bottle for them but found the seat empty.
He turned his gazes involuntarily towards Res' table only to find him standing while the bottle had a huge crack on it.
"It's you again..."
"Didn't I tell you not to cause a ruckus?", he asked.
Res was already quite confused and angered in top of which hearing to the shop keeper's rambling's was making him even more frustrated.
"Why you!!!", Res lifted his right arm in order to punch the shop owner when suddenly his hand ended up punching the table.
"Huh...?", Res was confused as to what had happened.
He took a look at his hand onmy to find it being pressed down by some pressure.
He then slowly lifted his gazes only to find the shop keeper standing right in front of him.
"Ah... Sir... it's you...", for some reason Res' voice was shaky now.
It seemed as if he was trying to punch him earlier because he hadn't realized that it was the shop keeper who was standing there.
"Dumbo!", the shop owner just hit his head and then looked at him.
"Haha...", Res was smiling even now because he knew what he had done.
"Tell me already... just how many times should I tell you to not scare the customers away?", he asked.
"I'm sorry sir... I promise that I won't repeat this again...", Res seemed apologetic.
"That is something that you are saying for past 8 months!", the shop owner stared at him with an annoyed expression.
"No sir, this time I promise, I won't repeat it..."
The shop owner who was thin like a stick and was around 60-70 years was literally being bowed to by Res.
It seemed as if he was someone with quite a lot of influence or it would have been that he was quite strong.
After all if Res was bowing to someone then without a doubt that person could be his superior or would be someone who is deeply respected by all.
"Sigh, now there is no use discussing that...", was what the owner said.
"Yes sir...", he just nodded his head and sat down again when the owner asked him to.
Then the owner himself bright 2 more beer bottles and kept in the table.
He dragged the chair a bit and sat immediately after which he lifted one of the cold beer bottles.
"Come on... won't you accompany me in a drink?", he asked.
It seemed as if the other bottle was actually brought for none other than Res.
"Ah? Yes...", he smiled and right away opened the bottle.
Then both of them happily started to drink when all of a sudden the owner asked, "So what do you think of this news?"
Res paused drinking and took a look at the news which was still going on about Jay.
It seemed like the media was still on it and weren't getting tired in telling more about him.
"I think that this is totally fake...", was what Res said.
The owner kept drinking and then said, "I disagree with you..."
The moment Res heard that, he starts arguing.
"No, that isn't true...", was what Res said.
"Haha, have I ever been wrong?", the owner asked.
"No, I'm sorry but this time you are wrong sir, I have personally watched the boy a few times but I couldn't see any characteristics that would literally give him the label of 'Mad Hunter'!", Res seemed quite stubborn and he was adamant.
He didn't want to back off and supported Jay with all his might.
"Move your face towards me..." the owner asked.
"Huh?", Res was confused when he heard that.
"Just do it...", the owner said.
Res obeyed him and moved his head towards him onky to get slapped by the owner.
'SLAP'
"Ouch! What was that for?", Res asked while holding the left cheek with his left hand.
"It's because you didn't hear me properly..."
"Huh?", he was confused.
"Yes, I never said that this news is completely true!"
"I just said that this news isn't completely false!", the man said.
Res was now getting even more annoyed because noth of the things seemed quite similar.
But it was onky after when the owner explained did he understand what he meant.
"I meant that, the news is partially true...", he said.
The moment Res heard that, he seemed convinced but even right now he wasn't sure as to what the so called true part among it was.
"Then, what's true about the news?", he asked right away.
The man nodded his head and said, "The truth is..."
While saying this he pointed his finger towards the screen where the exact news was being told.
Res immediately looked at the screen and heard what was told.
'The Hunter was believed to be someone who couldn't control his anger and because of that he-'
The news continued but the main part was heard.
Res now finally realised as to what the owner meant.
"Now did you understand?", he asked.
Res just nodded his head and completely finished the 13th bottle.
"Don't you think you should help me?", the owner asked.
"What!!? What are you even talking about?", Res stood up and shouted at the man.
"Ah? Is something wrong?", the shop owner asked.
"Well... No... it's...", Res didn't know what to say right now and had mixed feelings.
He kept on averting his gazes and looked here and there. He didn't know what exactly should have been done.
"I'm... I'm going home...", immediately after saying that Res was trying to walk away when suddenly the shop owner shouted and said something.
"Just remember.., no matter what decision you make right now, you shouldn't regret it in future...", the owner just repeated the same dialogue which Res used to always say.
When he heard that, he paused momentarily but then again he continued his march and walked out of the shop.
"Sigh, this kid...", the old man kept watching at the exit through which Res has left.
"It seems like he was too upset right now..."
"That's because this was the first time he ever left properly..."
"..."
The old man then stood up and picked all the bottles to throw them.
"I guess unless he helps him, he won't leave using the Portal..."
"..."
To be continued...
