Chapter 733: Blood Brothers

Chapter 733: Blood Brothers

After the meeting with the WhiteSaber guild concluded, General Floren Mayes immediately texted ChaosBringer about everything that went down in the meeting which was then passed onto ‘TheBoss’ by ChaosBringer, in one short message.

When ChaosBringer forwarded the message to Leo, he never expected Leo to do much about it, as although Leo had said that he would ‘Handle’ the West, ChaosBringer did not actually expect him to be involved personally, however, Leo decided to make a move anyways.

[ Hey, thankyou for the update on what’s going on in the West, I’ll head down there myself and see if I can make a difference to the war effort– ] was what Leo replied to ChaosBringer, with his message absolutely baffling the Uprising’s leader.

“Why are you bothering with such a small time operation?” Was what ChaosBringer wanted to type and send, as according to him, even if the WhiteSabers failed to gain control of the west, the uprising could easily conquer it given enough time, however, ‘The boss’ did not seem keen on waiting.

In the end, ChaosBringer decided to not send that message out, as he did not wish to offend the big boss, but he was worried about the same nonetheless.

“Do you need me to send more men to support you? I can send a whole army….” He asked, over the text chat, to which ‘TheBoss’ simply replied “I am the army.”

In the end, when ChaosBringer read that reply, a stupidly wide grin spread on his face as he realized that ‘TheBoss’ was probably the only player in the game who could say something so ridiculous and still make it sound legit.

(Meanwhile PinkLotus)

PinkLotus was out training near the waterfall, when a private message popped up in her dms.

Since she only had two friends who could send her private messages within the game, with one of them training right beside her, she knew who the text was from and hence paused her training immediately to respond.

“Hey, as per your promise I need you to help me in a war, head over to the Western Duchy, I hope to see you in Shack-Shack village in 2 days time.

And if you can, please bring my brother alongside you, but do warn him it will be a war against DarkSky” Leo said in his text message, as PinkLotus read it solemnly.

“Hmmm….” She mused, glancing over to where Luke was practicing his skills as she wondered whether or not to pass on the message.

She had been friends with Luke for over half a year now and slowly but surely their bond had been progressively growing stronger.

She now understood more about who he was and what he wanted from life and hence she also understood how he was going to react to the news of potentially fighting his old guild.

‘Should I not ask him? I think there’s a reason behind why Leo asked me to pass the message on and did not text Luke directly…. He knows his brother’s nature all too well….’ PinkLotus thought, as she kept glancing absentmindedly in Luke’s direction, making him acutely aware of her lingering stare while training.

“What?” Luke asked, pausing for a moment, as PinkLotus shook her head and jumped down from the rock she was on to look him in the eye.

“Your brother called in the favor I owe him…. So I guess I’m heading to war” PinkLotus began, as Luke nodded patiently to her words.

“Are you okay with the idea that I’m going to be fighting the DarkSky guild potentially? Or are you not happy about that?” She asked as Luke scratched his hair for a while.

“Umm…. I mean, I am not thrilled at the idea that either the DarkSky guild or you might come out of this war injured, but I guess that’s how life works. They have chosen to be enemies with my brother and now they have to live with the consequences of it” Luke replied, as PinkLotus’s eyes brightened up.

She knew how much that guild meant to Luke, however, listening to his opinion now, she could really feel just how much he had matured.

“That’s right, it did not have to be this way–” PinkLotus said, shrugging her shoulders as she sheathed her sword and began to tie her hair into a pony, in preparation for the long journey ahead.

“So when do we leave?” Luke asked, as PinkLotus paused her action midway and looked towards Luke in an expression full of surprise.

“We?” She asked, as Luke raised an eyebrow of confusion.

“Of Course ‘we’, I’m not letting my brother and my good friend fight alone…. Or did Leo not ask for me?” Luke asked, sounding horrified, as he immediately assumed that maybe Leo did not consider him to be good enough to join this war effort.

“Of Course he asked for you, I just did not ask because I did not want to potentially upset you…. I know how much you love your guild members and how you see them as family” PinkLotus clarified, as Luke breathed a sigh of relief.

“They were like family to me… yeah, but Leo IS my family. The blood between us runs thick and he will always be my priority” Luke said, as PinkLotus’s pupils dilated in response.

If there was one trait about Leo that she appreciated a lot, it was his unquestionable love for Amanda and how he was ready to fight the world for her.

In comparison, while Luke was a gentleman and a much more level headed guy to talk to, he was also a little people pleaser who could not make the tough decisions when he had to.

Hence, watching him now grow and become more practical, PinkLotus felt a renewed sense of attraction towards him, as finally, he was beginning to show signs of becoming the man she dreamed of.
