Chapter 445 - 445 Little Devil.
In two months, her mother gave birth to a boy. Luo Lixi didn't have any reaction when a midwife came to their villa to help her mother with the delivery. Rather, she went to her baby room and locked the door, refusing others entry.
'I am so conflicted. What to do? I can't even bear to tell... father of Lixiang's deeds…' Luo Lixi thought worriedly as she hid her little face on the pillow.
When the child was born, he cried a lot as if he would burst his lungs by doing it. The midwife couldn't stop his crying no matter what. Sun Xumei and Madam Tang were very anxious because of this.
After not seeing the child for three days, Luo Lixi could no longer ignore his wailing. Whenever she would walk out of her room, she would hear him crying.
"What's wrong with him?" She asked her father who was equally clueless. The man shook his head at her question.
Madam Tang came out of the bedroom and walked up to them. Her face was tired as she sat in front of Luo Baiyun and murmured, "His condition isn't looking good. If it continues, I fear something can go wrong."
"I will see what can be done…" Luo Baiyun spoke out urgently as he stood up and walked out of the villa. In truth, he wasn't worried because he knew the child would be okay.
Madam Tang sighed as she kneaded her throbbing temple. When she slightly parted her eyes, she noticed Luo Lixi who was in a daze.
"Xixi, you didn't see your little brother, did you?" She asked. Luo Lixi shook her head.
"Don't you want to see him? The baby looks very cute and he resembles you." Madam Tang smiled as she remembered something.
'I really don't want to see him.' Luo Lixi's sight was on the floor as she thought. But Madam Tang didn't know her worries. In Madam Tang's eyes, Luo Lixi seemed nervous about meeting her little brother for the first time and Madam Tang found it very adorable.
She picked up Luo Lixi abruptly and said, "Let's go to see your brother."
Luo Lixi hurriedly shook her head as she tried to go down and struggled, "I don't want to! Grandma, put me down!"
"Don't struggle. Your mother misses you. Don't you want to meet her?" Madam Tang asked as she began to go to the temporary bedroom of her parents.
When Luo Lixi heard her, she fell silent. 'How can I not miss her?! I didn't see her for three days…' She thought and glanced at the door.
As soon as the door was pushed, a strong smell of milk assaulted Luo Lixi's nose. When her sight fell in the room, her mood became complicated again.
"Waaaa~" A low whimper of a baby was booming in the room.
"Don't cry~ Don't cry~ My baby is a good boy~..." Sun Xumei held him and patted his body as she whispered.
When she saw Luo Lixi, her pale face showed a smile. Luo Lixi was brought to Sun Xumei and then placed on the huge bed.
"Mama~" Luo Lixi called out in a whisper. Sun Xumei put the child beside her and rubbed Luo Lixi's head.
"Why didn't my Xixi come to see me these days?! Didn't you miss me? Hmm?" Sun Xumei asked seriously.
Luo Lixi looked down on Sun Xumei's lap and mumbled, "Mama was busy… taking care of the baby. I just didn't want to disturb you."
Hearing her, Sun Xumei's heart melted and she felt happy yet sad. She picked Luo Lixi and placed her beside her body. "My Xixi isn't a bother to me. Rather, I thought you were angry with the baby."
"...No." Luo Lixi shook her head. Inwardly, her eyes fell on the little child who was whining in a low voice. Sun Xumei saw this and whispered, "Do you want to hold him?"
Even though Luo Lixi shook her head violently, Sun Xumei put the little child in Luo Lixi's lap. As soon as she held him, coincidentally he stopped crying.
"Ah? He finally stopped?" Madam Tang asked in amusement as she went beside them and looked down on the children.
Luo Lixi was pouting nonstop. She hesitantly touched the red mark on Luo Lixiang's head and inquired, "What is this?"
"Ah, this?" Sun Xumei murmured as she asked indifferently, "It's a birthmark."
'Birthmark? But, in my past life, he didn't have any birthmark…' Luo Lixi thought as she gently rubbed his little forehead and murmured, 'Is it my imagination or… a mere coincidence?'
Luo Lixi pondered over it for a while, with utmost seriousness. The place where the red birthmark was, was the exact location where he had shot himself in his past life.
Madam Tang went ahead and lifted Luo Lixiang's right hand, "Xixi, look. Here is also another birthmark. It looks like a bracelet. Cute, isn't it?"
Luo Lixi moved her eyes on Luo Lixiang's wrist which had a bluish line. Her eyes twisted as she held his hand and glared at it. 'There is no way it's a coincidence!'
Even though she guessed something, she decided to put it aside. Then, she peeked at Sun Xumei and cried out, "Mama, he's heavy!"
"Ah, let me take him." Madam Tang said as she leaned down to pick the baby. As soon as he was fondled, he cried out with a fluster, "Waaaaa!"
"…" Luo Lixi stiffened as she was going to move to leave the room. The old lady panicked and then patted Luo Lixiang's back but the latter didn't stop crying.
Sun Xumei glanced at Luo Lixi and then put Luo Lixiang back on her lap. As soon as she did, Luo Lixiang stopped crying and stared at Luo Lixi with his huge misty eyes.
"Ah, Xixi, he likes you…" Sun Xumei chuckled as he tugged on his soft cloth and then put Luo Lixi's palms on him.
"…" Luo Lixi became thoughtful by this. She glared at him and thought speechlessly, 'You devil! What are you trying to pull off?!'
Luo Lixi's icy glare did the little effect on little Luo Lixiang as the latter sucked on his thumb crazily and blinked his watery eyes.
Knock~ Knock~
Someone knocked on the door and then, the voice of Wang Yue rang out. "Aunty, it's me. Can I come in?"
When Luo Lixi and the little baby heard it, both of them stiffened. Luo Lixi didn't notice that when Wang Yue came, the child's little hands shook a little.
"Yue'er, why are you here?" Madam Tang asked as she saw her walking towards Luo Lixi who had the little boy in her lap.
"Of course, it's to see Baiyun's son. After all, the Luo family has gotten its first heir and how could I not come to bless him?" Wang Yue smiled generously as glanced at Luo Lixiang.
"Hmm." Madam Tang nodded in approval at her answer. She was very happy that a boy was born in the family and it was a matter of time before all influential families came to congratulate her.
Wang Yue sat beside Luo Lixi and picked Luo Lixiang. Instead of crying, the little one had his eyes tightly shut as if he was sleeping soundly. Wang Yue caressed the little fleshy face and whispered.
"Have you given any name to this young master?" Wang Yue asked affectionately. Her fingers were extremely light and gentle when she touched Luo Lixiang.
"No. After one week, we will bring him to the temple for naming." Madam Tang replied proudly. Sun Xumei held a graceful smile since Wang Yue had come.
"Thanks Sister Yie for coming." Sun Xumei sounded extremely gentle as she glanced at the baby in Wang Yue's arms. The latter also smiled back.
"Sister Sun, it's only normal that I come." Wang Yue spoke with utmost gentleness and murmured after hesitating, "By the way, sister Yue, your cousin came to me. She said she wanted to meet you but couldn't…"
As soon as she said that, Sun Xumei, Madam Tang and Luo Lixi's facial expressions changed for various reasons. Madam Tang snorted, "Many unworthy people want to see us but that doesn't mean they can. Also, Yue, don't mention them in front of us in the future."
"Ah? Oh, it's my fault…" Wang Yue sighed with confusion as if she didn't know the reason why Madam Tang snapped suddenly.
In Sun Xumei and Luo Lixi's eyes, Wang Yue's smile seemed extremely disdainful. After all, for any lady, it's disgracing that her maternal family would be demolished in front of others.
Even though Sun Xumei felt sad, she forced down the unpleasant feeling in her heart. The child in Wang Yue's arms began to squirm and whine, on the verge of crying out.
"Sister Yue, give the child to me. He will cry and won't stop easily." At Sun Xumei's words, Wang Yue gave him to his mother. Then, she took out a little pouch and another thing from her handbag.
Wang Yue put a big coin made of gold in the boy's little palm and smiled, "May you live well for more than a hundred years and become successful in Life."
