Temporal Pearls

Chapter 80: Sapphire ad Adam I

Seth sighed and left the room to his new workshop where he worked with Clay, making pottery items.

Anna followed him and stared at him working. it was mesmerising, how he was manipulating the wet clay while it was on a Wheel.

At first, it was just a chunk of clay, then as the wheel rotated and his palms controlling, it began to become like a cup before he put his finger inside and made it bulge, now like a vase and after other control, it was like a long bottle.

Anna leaned close to him and whispered, "Saviour!" Seth cringed but refused to respond to her.

His mom though was in the laundry, she brought the white long slip he wore that day and checked it. There was blood dyeing it and on some parts, the chest side, in particular, it has bloody palm prints of a child.

Sarah leaned on the wall, confused, and shocked and she doesn't know what she can think. Strong arms wrapped around her which gave her support.

"It will be alright. Our baby is just a little special, that it's. nothing to fret!" A male voice whispered to her ears.

Science might reign supreme and all but some phenomena were beyond explanation. In this case, though, a select few knew what happened.

As the parent tried to reason what was happening, they linked it to the game cabin but still why was he the only one facing this kind of thing in the house?

However, deep down they knew Seth was different. When he was 40 days old at the time he could make gibberish cries, somehow he was able to call Sarah. Though not precisely bit when one listens to it, what one can identify.

A lot of her co-workers in a restaurant she washed dishes have identified that. Back then they were Class E. And what cement that was, he later began to catch the name of people around the callout when he was crying.

Due to his low Constitution, he only cries for a few minutes before fainting or falling asleep.

When Sarah stopped going there to work, the name mama was the thing that stuck to his tongue. Now everyone calls her Mama, instead of Sarah in the restaurant.

They assumed he would be exceptionally smart but he turned out to be a cripple and even though he showed Genius level intellect as a child it came to be forgotten gradually.

Because no matter how he exerts himself, studies, movement and anything that will push his body mentally and physically or emotionally will exhaust him and he may fall asleep or faint.

But… his talent was manifesting, gradually and they have no idea how they are going to deal with it. It wasn't about glowing, it was about what he was doing. The art!

While the parents were lost, back in Ark Family they watched all the interviews, even the uncensored one and now they are ready to discuss it.

"Is that an Evolved Person?" Leanne asked, a sister to Bala Ark and Bello Ark.

"Yep, that definitely one!" Bello confined. But they were in a tense situation and each of them glanced at their Ancestor. They were already assuming he would complain how not one among their people was evolving!

The old man sighs and shook his head, "Which country was it?"

"Ni Country!" Bala said seeing that they were not going to be berated.

"N?" He asked.

"Yes!"

"There are still countries with letters but no name?" He asked. The new world was crazy with its hierarchy. And even some we're just letters and only the powerful countries and those that have a seat in the World Government have a Name.

"Stupid hierarchy." The old man grumbled but then he looked at his descendant with a scowl and said.

"I guess there was no one that evolved among our people?"

Silence!

He shook his head but then he became angry and flared at them.

"None among them too. We confirmed that. No other organization in the whole that we know of has an evolver among them!" Bell chimed in and that pacified the old man.

"Good. You see the reason why I said not to seek Tem… or anyone in particular. Evolution is a chance event, and emotional and psychological were at work here. And for everyone else, the requirements are different as long as we don't want mass death and failure among us!"

They all nodded.

"This thing should only start 5 years from now but was only months!" Leanne said, "and as one of the creators I still can't believe this level of evolution has passed our detection!"

"And you shall not look into it!"

"I'm sorry but we have to. This is a game changer, this man was the key to new ways that we have been seeking for years now!" Leanne disagreed immediately.

She was a scientist and smart one with many inventions in her name. And one of the rare survivors of Axis Mind. And even with that, there were things they couldn't do and that is why she needed this new subject!

"In 5 years, you will have your subject but not now. You don't cut a sampling when it has just sprouted!"

"What if others got him first? We can't take that risk!"

"We will!... Shut Down!" The old man said and the woman fell asleep.

He glared at them and said, "Wake her up and convince her, if she wasn't, tell her that I will put her to sleep for the next 5 years when she can have many subjects to look at!" He said finally. The brothers gulped down and nodded vigorously for the new commandment.

Apart from the moral respect they gave to the old man, the other reason was that he was also a survivor of an Axis Mind and he gained certain perks that they didn't want to challenge.

Adam needed answers and so he entered Seth's car, Sapphire.

[Welcome, Adam Enoch]

"Hello, Sapphire!" He said

<Seth told you my name. Good. Where will you like to go>

<Do you have the footage of what happened in your black box?>

<Yes, but I can't show you>

" I see, I will ask Seth to get it from you!"

<i wouldn't give him either. It's dangerous for him to be known as the Angel or Savior>
