Temporal Pearls

Chapter 75: Meteoroids!

Sling!

Seth opened his eyes to the real world not knowing what happened. He only knew that he blanked out but nothing after that but now.

'Temporal Pearl is truly outstanding to exchange with all these magnificent treasures.'

Seth left to his room to prepare. No school today and no painting with Manuella. Free to seek clay soil knowledge.

He travelled to different places in their City that have mud on the ground and also visited locations that used clay. He didn't come back home until night fell.

He came out of the car tired and covered from head to toe with dust and sand.

Seth didn't just look at clay but he played with it. He rubbed them in his hand, tasted them, and smelt all the types of clay he could get and repeated that till sunset before he took a sample of them and robbed him.

His hand has blistered and some even open and when his mother saw that she squeezed his ears and berated him. She was worried all day and now he came back with an injury to the hand.

After the little punishment, Seth washed, ate and fell on the bed. The next day he dived back into the game.

Sling!

He grabbed his empty book and then took his pen, and then began to write what he had learned yesterday. Scribe Talent gave him the ability to recall knowledge and information very fast.

Seth documented the characteristics of the 8 different clays he came in contact with. Some are for making bricks, some pottery, some statues, some wall plaster and some were just additives.

He recorded everything and then walked around the clay spots in the Living Roots trying to compare them with his knowledge. Two hours later, he came back with samples. He was able to identify them and also know their uses.

There were some clays in Living Roots that were unusual but he believes, if he used them in connection with another one it would be good…

His attire almost absorbed the Gawee Mud and by tomorrow he may be able to wear them.

That was the objective for that day and then he started copying!

Living Root influence was always disrupted after logging out due to Resident Status and Pure White Stone Will. So, every time Seth logged in, it had to start all over again.

Another thing that made Seth safe was the Pure White Stone Will increased in stability with every hardship he endured and it became a bit harder to penetrate.

Seth sat as usual, with trepidation he began to copy the mysterious painting, and with just 10 copies he was dull and lacked consciousness again.

Sling!

"Hoo!" That was scary, he said.

And then Seth left for his room. This time he was going to visit some shops that make clay-related things. Sadly Seth wasn't able to find any place that actively does that on a daily basis. It was mostly the clay product on display.

Seth has to drive to another city. Thankfully, all he had to do was sleep in his car while it drove.

Sadly, Sarah was watching his location on the GPS moving away from their city and she began to call him to come back but he was fast asleep.

And by the time he woke up, he was in a hurry to finish what he came to do before sunset.

The trip was fruitful, as he showed great enthusiasm and the people he met were happy to show him around. He saw different types of Wheels, Glazers, Scrapers and other tools. But most of them were modernized and mechanical. They are used in crockery.

He then began to seek the ancient one. Those that can be made easily by himself with local tools. And that was what took his time and efforts. He managed to find an Old man named Sarki.

Seth was flabbergasted by the man's dilapidated shop but the earthenware in it was Phenomenal.

First, he banished all the amazing crockery that caught his eye and then he asked the old man to show him the local tools used to make them.

The old man did better, after showing the tools and confirming Seth was a fanatic, he showed him their blueprints and guidelines on how to make them.

Seeing Seth, shining eyes as he found what he really wanted, the man sold them to him, together with sole ceramics.

The moment Seth left, Manuella came to the shop.

"Good evening Grandpa!" She greeted him with utmost respect and humbleness.

"Hey, Manue, how are the twins?" He asked with a smile.

"Fine. They said hi and also made some snacks for you!" She gave him the box she was holding. He thanked her but glanced in the direction that Seth went.

"Are you waiting for someone?" She asked.

"No. I just met with someone that has similar eyes as you!" He said.

"Who?" She asked, shocked.

"I don't know his name and I didn't ask!"

Manuella pleaded with the old man to link her to the person but the old man refused. She even suspected it would be one of her students and tried to show him their picture but he ignored her as he walked back into the shop.

"Where are my pots and bowls!" She asked in fear as she began to accumulate sweat on her forehead. The pots and bowls were international orders and she can't miss them.

"Oh, those scraps. The boy pinpoints them and buys them all. Each one of them!" The old man nonchalantly said.

She was amazed but she remembered how hard it was to convince this old man to make them for her and now they were gone just like that.

But it wasn't her fault, she already made a deal with him and even paid him with what he demanded. But looking at the old geezer, she knew he would make things difficult.

"Grandpa...!"

"Nope, it's your fault. You said you are coming today. You should have come in the morning!" He said with a cheeky smile.

"I'm begging…!"

"Don't kneel!" He said sternly before he sighed and gave her a new assignment to make draw his picture with his wife during his marriage ceremony.

She quickly pranced out and drove away fast, heading home to do that. Her mind raced on how to make the most magnificent drawing she ever made in life.

Sarki was her first Teacher in Art but he stopped painting and focused on pottery because that was what his dead wife specialized on. He wanted Manuella to take on Pottery too but she claimed it dirtied her hand and made their calluses.

After her, he hasn't had a single Student as good as Manuella, well until a seed of hope appeared after he saw Seth.

"Seth Enoch!" He read the address Seth left him. But the old man was only remembering the eyes, those strange eyes that can see the true nature of the world are rare and… dangerous!

"You won't take away my Student!" He swore. Manuella has done that before that was why he refused to tell her the truth.

He turned around intending to make the earthenware Manuella requested he saw light streaking in the night sky.

It was a meteoroid!

"May God have mercy on us!" He prayed.
