Temporal Pearls

Chapter 155: The Yellow City

Samsi had his hand on the doorknob and his eyes were closed. Zambia was standing behind him eager to be the first to enter.

"Trials are at random, but Samsi says one just has to do what he feels is right," Ash said suddenly, Seth was almost startled but he nodded without answering.

"The most common reward was the Yellow Energy Stone known as Yellow Core. You can obtain them by killing Yellow Monster if they attack you. The energy is very good and great." Ash said and then continued,  "Zambia wanted to obtain something called Yellow Sand HourGlass. If he used it alongside the Temporal Warrior Class, he might even hunt dragons!"

Now, seth was interested, "I'm really upset about you accusing me. But it is alright!"

"I'm sorry, I was panicking and just, you know, you are the new guy and we don't know you. And because of that, all sorts of things might come into our minds. But, it's my mistake. By the way, this green cloak, how did you get it?" Ash asked curiously.

"It was a decoy put forward to imprison me in a certain sanctuary but I got it and also escaped!"

Ash nodded as he was about to touch it but for unknown reasons, he felt fear and he refrained from that.

"What is your class?" Rena came and asked, "Your guide seems comforting and… there is this clearance to it!"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, I'm good with travel but this tunnel is confusing and sometimes they change. But now I felt, I can remember all of the paths even if they have changed...!" Rena said

"Yes. There was clarity in the journey." Ash added.

"Fatigue and exhaustion were also elevated." Fist said.

It was a 3-hour trip but they felt like they had enough energy to fight a deadly battle if there was any.

'Did I lend them my Exertion Points?' Seth wondered.

"What is your class?" Rena asked again and everyone seemed interested.

Seth realized the importance of a guide right there, as to traverse the continent one has to have the power and be ready to face unknown danger, having a guide that will avoid almost all danger was the best thing to have

"I don't have class but I'm on a class Quest!" Seth told the truth as he observed everyone's reaction.

"What? You are still Based?" Juma asked.

"Yep. One of the class requirements was to visit as many Sanctuary and meet as many dragons as I can without getting killed."

Some of them were surprised, some weren't interested but those that were interested asked about how many dragons he had met.

"Most of the dragons I met are very far, but I met about three to four close by, which was what the Quest wanted and that also increased the completion rate."

"Dragon rules this land. So, any class quest will always be associated with them somehow." Rena said.

"So, can anyone help me go to as many sanctuaries as I can?" Seth said.

"The sad truth was that all sanctuaries are dangerous and some of us weren't from here at all. So, guiding you there is not going to be easy!" Fist said.

"I can guide you. But… My sanctuary is not fond of accepting strangers." Ash said.

The discussion moved to dragons and how many types were there and why they seem different from the normal lore.

"I read in an ancient tome, it says that true dragons have five things, number one and the most important is Dragon Breath and it must be Fire. Number two, The second most important is Wings. Number three, Dragon Might. Number Four, Dragon Scales, and number five, Dragon Tongue!" Rena explained.

"Nah, I don't believe that, I saw a snake and it was acknowledged as a dragon by the system. It flew and breathed some thick smoke which had no fire!" A player said.

"Yeah. Great Blast Dragon doesn't seem to have a fire." Zambia said too.

"Seth, you explored dragons, among the ones you saw, is there something abnormal?" Ash asked.

"Well, I once saw adult dragons and they were very far away from me but each breath they made was a fire. They have different skin colours. However, that green dragon breath has fire and green liquid in it, right? Maybe it's true!"

"I don't think so. I once asked Blast dragon and she told me she can't breathe fire directly but can create a great blast that will cause air friction and ignite a fire!" Zambia said.

Seth looked at Rena, she seemed dejected since everyone disagreed with her but she said, "Well, the tome was old. About a thousand years ago!"

"Perhaps by then, there were no variant dragons. Maybe, later on, other creatures and species have begun to mimic dragons, so this classification was made. The reason why I said this was, there was a race called Pride Race. They are arch-enemies of dragons.

To match the dragons they unify Feline Species and Dog species together with other species and copulate until they create hybrid offerings with a variety of powers and abilities. And each one was extremely strong!" Seth explained.

"I have the bloodline of a Giant Bear and within it was a bloodline of a cheetah and crocodile. Bear is the pillar and Cheetah and Crocodile are the substrates. And they gave me speed and agility as well as hard skin and swimming capability." Fist explained.

Seth sprang and asked, "Realy. Where did you get the bloodline? Please take me to your sanctuary, they might have something I need!"

At that moment Seth thought about his Pride Bloodline, if he can infuse it with it, he will be delighted as that will give him insane strength he can never have imagined. Who knows if that will make his body in the real world improve?

"Sorry, my sanctuary is a moving caravan that provides services in the Western Plain Sanctuaries. I performed spectacularly and I was reviewed to get a bloodline from the vault and infused with it. Sadly, they only have something like Hound Nose, Dire Wolf and other low-grade bloodlines. But guess what, I bought one from another sanctuary with real money and infused it in me!" Fist explained...

Seth didn't understand but as he listened to the details Seth was happy about what he learned.

Number one was in Western Plains on the Gawee continent there were about six to seven sanctuaries that were a thousand kilometres apart. One of them has Ancient Devices that can infuse bloodlines in humans.

Another sanctuary was known for its craftsmanship. Another one rear all kinds of flying creatures… They all have their speciality.

Fist's caravan sanctuary moves between these sanctuaries to distribute resources. He got lucky and got permission to use Bloodline Machine but the bloodline he was asked to choose will only enslave him more.

Thankfully, he has access to other bloodlines that he bought from the real world.

"How did you buy it.?" Seth was excited. He has a bunch of Bloodlines in his Womb, he might as well try to sell some.

The explanation satisfied him to no end and made the game no longer antagonistic anymore. The only thing was he had to play his card right!

They were discussing that when Samsi, who was still holding the Yellow door knob, vanished.

"It's opened. I will go first!" Zambia said and he grabbed the door knob and it opened and a flash of yellow light like a Sunray blinded everyone and Zambia vanished. Juma went next and many followed suit.

Seth quickly went into his inventory and looked at the items he had and the ones he can use in case of emergency.

One of the things that captured his mind was the two stones he obtained from Retina's sister.

[Red Signature Stone]

[A special stone created by Retina Race First Born that gave the owner ability to manipulate and control red colour and store red energy and red liquid]

[Personal Red River Stone]

[A unique stone belonging to the Retina Race First Born. It has the ability to summon, call upon, or create a red river suitable for Retina Race wellbeing]

As Seth was holding them together he received a bonus.

[You have attained Red Power]

[All your Red Ability has been magnified]

"Hmm!" He then stored the stone, the effect also went off.

Seth was second to the last, and at the onset of the yellow flash, he found himself in a city with tall skyscrapers. Some reach up to one thousand meters while some were a bit shorter than that.

Seth felt as if he was between pillars that hold the sky from falling. Looking down at the street, people were moving about their activities.

He, with blue armour and a green cloak, was eye-catching as everyone wore white clothes but at one part of it was yellow apparel.

There were smaller houses in between the tall buildings and also many shops, but Seth found one person looking at him. He looked at the person too but the man walked away into the crowd.
