Chapter 2 - The Golden Lion Clan
Circumstances - alone - didn't create legends, and heroes were always created through suffering and hardships plus luck and wisdom.
Arthur was one of them, as he stood tall and would start to create his own legend in this world. He would make heaven regret the day that they decided to screw with his life.
He would not allow them to find entertainment by watching him crumble in utter despair.
All began from this moment, as his life would take a sudden detour away from his cultivation and theories towards a fresh course he never imagined that would exist.
The life of a supreme mage!
"His condition is stable for now. I advise him not to move around a lot in the next few days so his body can recover more."
The doctor said after he used healing magic to assess Arthur's body condition. Arthur's mind was occupied by thinking of what he should do later to make the best of the dreadful situation he found himself in.
However, Willy's father was already so excited about his son's recovery, so he spoke with great excitement, "that is fantastic, thank you, my lord. My clan is forever indebted to you. If anytime my lord wants help, you can come to our house."
"You need first to survive," the doctor declared in a blunt tone as he then left the room with Willy's dad chasing after him.
As for Arthur, the first thing he did was to sit on the bed and examine his new body with the utmost care.
"My body is weak, there are hardly any muscles here. So this is the start for you, Arthur."
Arthur knew his body wasn't suitable for his upcoming future he planned to have.
So the initial things he demanded to do were to enhance this body and try to discover how to become a great mage that would make the other clans quake in fear with just a whisper of his name.
For his body to grow, he needed to eat useful food full of nutrients. Arthur's vision moved to settle over the small table next to his bed. There were dishes of varied food there.
However, from the first glance, he saw nothing worthy that would help improve his body. Arthur was a genius, strong cultivator, so his sense of powerful things was superb.
He knew this meal wouldn't help his body grow, as there was no special meat or anything with any power. The body was the end product of all the nutrients the person put into his stomach.
That was a known fact for Arthur. So he decided to get out of the room to find some sufficient food in the palace that would be useful for his body.
When he tried to get out of the enormous bed he felt his body tremble from exhaustion and his legs sluggish without being able to carry his own weight.
The useless body was too fragile as it was not conditioned to overcome pain because Willy had a non-distinctive view of life. Willy had no burning passion to achieve power but this was not the case for Arthur.
He would not sit idly by to wallow in his misery and decided to get out of bed against the doctor's orders to find some real food.
Arthur knew there were many enemies coveting him and his father. As for how else would have Willy been poisoned. Although he had no ties or relations with this place and these people, he needed to remain alive until he became stronger.
Though he would stay with the clan, he would not be quacking in fear like his former inhabitant of this body because of the potential assassination attempts.
This was because the disturbance of mind was equal to the distraction of the soul, so he couldn't train until he eliminated this threat for now.
From what he knew, there was a clan eyeing his with greedy eyes. This hostile one had a single person with a mild affinity for water.
Though that person got rejected like Willy from the prestigious Dorgazire academy, he instead joined a mediocre academy in the north.
It was an ordinary academy.
Compared to Willy's clan that had no mage, that hostile clan seemed miles more powerful. If Arthur was in his normal state his opponent would be a mere bug that he could squash with his little finger.
However, as he was in Willy's body the matter would have to be dealt with care.
Arthur wasn't concerned about his path to hegemony because he trusted his mind in finding a solution out of any situation. His mind was thinking on overdrive trying to rationally plan how to get power to scare his enemies.
But first, he must strengthen his body.
