Chapter 1047 Prison World War - Part 15
Gege didn't get his point from calling the necromancer now. Arthur's body was sent flying for almost fifty miles away from that prison, a distance he covered thanks to the brutality of the first hit.
Yet later on he didn't move an inch after that. The attack lost any power in moving his body, and only focused on clashing with his tortoise shell.
Just before she could summon him out, Arthur expanded the shell to cover a wider distance before a portal opened inside this safe zone.
This time Gege noticed an obvious difference, the pressure from earlier was gone, completely eradicated like it never was there to begin with.
The portal sustained itself and kept flashing in bright blue light like always. The next moment a person appeared from it with his emaciated face and protruded bones.
He was one of the three necromancers who swore their allegiance to Arthur a long time ago.
"I salute the lord," the man bowed in respect and veneration. To him, to his two friends, Arthur was a person who could be best described as a god in their eyes.
'Stand up and start absorbing the death energy you asked for from before,' Arthur said through Gege's voice while adding, 'I'll let part of the energy come inside. Don't panic and absorb the death energy and leave the rest to me.'
The necromancer felt terrified the moment he heard these instructions from Gege. however he didn't question Arthur, after all he knew that man created many legends before his eyes.
Arthur wasn't going to act suicidal here. He had an idea that seemed crazy, but he was confident in its appliance.
During the past time, he kept analyzing the attack coming down on his head from these tornados. He knew the green fire was the same kind of fire that he once absorbed and helped in advancing him to his current state of strength.
But when he tried to absorb it now, he failed. The reason behind this became clearer with time; this attack wasn't done by the green fire alone.
There was the grayish death energy as well. This mix prevented Arthur from absorbing the green energy, from dealing with the previous attacks.
However, to solve this problem Arthur had an idea. It was a simple way by letting someone deal with the death energy and he would deal with the green fire.
And who was better than the necromancers to do such a task?
That was why he let that necromancer sit idly all this time beside him. He waited, he was waiting patiently for this chance, for this moment, much more patient than his enemies.
To do this, Arthur had to let part of that attack pass through the tortoise shield. He had to endure the attack with his real body.
He would then absorb the green fire, while at the same moment the necromancer next to him would absorb the grayish death energy.
If things went as he planned, then this would become his victory as usual.
Once made up his mind, he didn't hesitate to execute. That was Arthur, and that was his nature. He instantly opened a crack inside his shell, letting a ray of that deadly looking attack land directly over his body.
Arthur's body wasn't like before. His dragonair body got reinforced and upgraded alongside his dragonair energy. The moment the attack landed, Arthur's scales shone brightly in blue light, defying the attack clashing with him.
Arthur knew his enemies were afraid of his ability to handle the green fire. Even if he couldn't absorb it, the fact that his dragonair energy was related to this fire was enough to make most of the deadly effect of this attack vanish.
And once the attack landed over Arthur's body, he became sure of this theory of his.
His scales shone, not in response to the challenge, but like welcoming an old friend. The scales were just the beginning, as Arthur felt his entire body get warmed up, as his dragonair energy became restless.
It looked like it was responding to some sort of calling, or responding to a special stimulation from the green fire in that attack.
'Make him start the absorption now!' At this point Arthur's confidence in dealing with this attack escalated to new heights. All that was needed now was for the necromancer to deal with the grayish energy.
Then both of them would be baptized in these two kinds of energies, getting more benefits with zero losses.
While this was all happening, the enemies mistook all this for another reason. Under their watch, the shield that stubbornly stood erect in front of their attack showed signs of breaking down.
Then a hole was opened all of sudden as if the shield was on the verge of collapsing.
They didn't know. They weren't aware that all this was the preparation of Arthur. They mistook it for the declining of Arthur's defenses, his start of the long awaited decline.
So when they saw this, instead of proceeding with the earlier plan of cutting down the attack and retreating again into the green fog, they pushed over and even poured more energy inside the prison grand body.
In their eyes, the victory was just in reach. In Arthur's eyes, the victory was in his grasp. And eventually one side was destined to be disappointed, losing this fight as the brutal nature of any war.
The moment they increased the amount of energy inside their attack, Arthur noticed it. In fact his heart jumped out of excitement when he felt the intensity of the green fire getting more concentrated than before.
At this point the necromancer was standing just a few meters away from him, absorbing madly the grayish death energy like a dried up desert taking in flooding waters falling from the sky.
If Arthur saw this scene from high above, he would be astonished to see a whirlpool was formed above the head of the necromancer.
It wasn't a big whirlpool, only stretching over to cover the small area he cleared by expanding his shield, but it was enough to give him the impression about what was going on with the necromancer.
The necromancer was experiencing the same taste from what Arthur himself tested before. Not now of course, but back when he faced up with that greenish lance at the end of that gigantic strange pillar.
This necromancer was getting stronger, far stronger, much faster than ever.
If Arthur knew that, he would even go and hug those enemies of his as an appreciation. The necromancers were one of his greatest forces in this world, one of his imperial pillars without doubt.
He might even regret not bringing the other two here to make them get benefits with that necromancer. But no matter what, Arthur's luck was good and the two of them managed to handle even the intensified attack of that prison behemoth.
In the end… This was going to be Arthur's victory, once again, like always.
