Tales Of The Mighty Dragonair

Chapter 1044 Prison World War - Part 12

Or if he sent the two necromancers and the enemy found it hard to damage this city, the hostile forces might change their target and aim towards other cities like the lack city or even the three first cities at the great plains.

So Arthur thought about everything that might happen, and tried to create more solutions to adapt to all the variables in the upcoming wars.

If not for the originals to cause massive response once appearing, he would rather prefer to scatter half of his originals at this city.

The last thing he ordered Gege to do was to summon a hundred dragons and conceal them discreetly inside the main palace at the top of the mountain.

That palace was so big and enough to conceal this number of dragons without getting noticed. Also he gave the order for workers to start storing ores at other cities, giving him a way out from this disaster if it really occurred.

But the most important solution he thought of was to find a way to delay the enemy attack over the mountain city, while he would try his best to get out of this prison world as soon as possible.

Of course he wouldn't come here and leave empty handed. That wasn't Arthur's nature. As long as he dared to take the challenge of his enemies head on like that, he was ready for anything happening.

And he didn't come here to just leave like this. He would get hold over that prison, destroy all the hostile forces here and claim this world for himself.

Then he would return to the empire world and get rid of those annoying enemies threatening it.

During these days, Arthur couldn't move but he didn't stop experimenting. From time to time he would let the green tornado end and then he would move around to get a better view over the green mist world.

What he noticed was that after a week of continuous draining of the green fire, the green fog that looked endless began to become fainter.

It wasn't enough to make him advance and take that world by force. However at the same time he noticed something else.

"So the two lands are, in fact, one… That's amusing!"

Just as the green fog got fainter, Arthur also noticed that the grayish color at the lower land also faded slightly than before.

In return for the green world getting paler, the gray world got clearer. At this point he could see clearly the landscape down below, mountains, rivers, and even deserted towns.

Of course the rivers were empty, only deep ridges that looked like giant scars from his place. As for the mountains, many had their peaks smashed and destroyed, while the rest had deep gaps in their bodies like old wounds.

Just from the look of it, Arthur knew this world witnessed the great war between the originals and the world's wills.

The more he saw it, the more puzzled he became. After all, he knew the big secret behind this war; the two races were actually one.

But that meant there was a hidden enemy behind all this. Arthur had the feeling that such an enemy was so hard to grasp, and had this vague instinct that it was wise to not try and look for him.

Such an enemy of such brutality and great machination wasn't the best enemy to fight against. Smart enemies were always the hardest to deal with.

As long as that enemy didn't notice him, Arthur would bat his eye and not try to stir the hornet nest. Of course he wouldn't stop gathering up information about that enemy. Who knew what might happen in the future anyway.

As he knew his method was working, he returned to his initial spot and continued sending people back to the empire world.

During the first three weeks, the fight continued in such a boring way. The two sides exchanged clashes whenever possible, where the enemy forces always tried to shield their elites and only send their weakest forces to hunt down Arthur's troops.

But whenever that happened, Arthur's generals would recall their troops and let the skeleton armies handle the situation.

That proved to be effective in luring out the elite forces of the enemy. However, and even after the passage of three entire weeks, not a single grandmaster fell so far!

The enemy always fell for this trick, but he never sent grandmaster caliber forces to attack Arthur's troops. Not even when the two sides had their elites fight in a brutal way.

And like usual, the more Arthur's forces killed the enemy elites, the more elites passed through the giant portals to replenish them.

At some point, the generals of Arthur's armies thought the enemy had an endless supply of elites.

Arthur also thought about the same thing. It might seem depressive, but Arthur saw the bright side of these clashes.

The enemy might have a large number of elites under his command, even to consider them endless, but he lacked grandmaster caliber mages.

Of course that would be expected! After all, elites could be bred all over the clans, but each clan could only have a few grandmaster caliber mages.

Not to mention many weak clans had only a single grandmaster powerhouse overseeing their affairs.

So it might seem like an unbalanced situation, however Arthur knew his armies still held the upper hand in this war.

The only thing he kept twisting his mind about was how to get the enemy to dispatch the grandmaster forces out there for battle.

He tried many times to lure them out, asking Gege to summon half of the generals and their best elites of his standby armies and send them to hit the elites of the enemy at many occasions.

However he failed to force his enemy to bite this trap. For some reason, the enemy kept his calm and didn't rashly send his grandmaster forces no matter what.
