another way.

A brief silence followed, the tension building in the air. Then, the system responded.

Alister's breath caught in his throat as he waited, hoping against hope that it would work. The system's message blinked before his eyes, lines of text updating.

Alister let out a shaky breath of relief. The price had been halved. It was still a massive
number, but now it felt within reach.
"Halfway there," he whispered to himself, feeling the weight of the challenge ahead but also the hope. He clenched his fists, excitement and hope burning in his chest. 'And if Lian succeeds in obtaining at least one of the items, then I'll be even closer!'
This was no longer impossible. If he played his cards right, he could get the remaining
prestige points and secure the elixir for Miyu. He would stop at nothing to get what he
needed.
'I'll get there, Miyu,' he thought, a smile spreading on his face as he gazed out the window at
the slowly rising moon.
'I won't let time run out.'
'Your big brother is going to save you... soon.'
