Systemless in a Parallel World

Chapter 46 Agile Human Spirit

"Training you into my loyal Soldier will be fun!" Zayn said as he finished looking through the memories of the skinny Human Spirit.

He chose to name it Agile Human Spirit for the time being even though the memories of the Spirit suggested that he was a perfect Assassin. Calling the Spirit Phillip was also weird since the young man had ceased to exist in Zayn's mind the moment he killed him.

Phillip had been annoying as hell. Thus, forcing him to do things and training him to become a perfect Assassin would be a blessing. However, at the same time, he didn't want to allow the Agile Human Spirit to be constantly reminded who he had been before Zayn killed him!

The Agile Human Spirit with above-average talent had two special traits. One was a lesser version of stealth which was triggered the moment the Agile Human Spirit hid in shadows or the darkness of the night. The brighter the surrounding area the weaker the effect of the stealth.

Nobody seemed to take note of the Agile Human Spirit when it had been walking around in the darkness of the night while the exact opposite could be said for the Spirit. It could see in the darkness very clearly though its presence was almost untraceable.

"A perfect Assassin, Scout, and Nightguard," He mumbled before he went to sleep.

As for his Spirits, Zayn allowed them to stay in the open to absorb more soul particles.

The Herculean Human Spirit had the highest progression in the creation of its first Soulring. It was not even 10% finished but the Agile Human Spirit was in an even worse state. It didn't receive enough soul particles during the Spirit Manifestation. This resulted in a partial manifestation and the fact that only 3% of its Soulring had been recreated.

The Sparrow Spirits had yet to start the creation of their Soulring and they preferred to absorb more soul particles for the time being.

When Zayn woke up in the morning, the first rays of sunlight slowly crept up from behind the horizon. His stomach was grumbling which was more than enough reason for him to get up from the ground, and put on his clothes before he left the Inn once again.

He was wearing a shabby set of ordinary clothes rather than a black mask and cloak which made the pedestrians look at him with disgust and contempt. The gazes were familiar and they hardly bothered him.

He purchased a bunch of dishes at one of the vendors he had visited a few times while he had hidden his identity before and paid immediately. It was only obvious but the vendor had to make money for a living. Thus, he served even Normies no matter how disturbing it felt to him.

Zayn could only smile when he noticed the vendors' attitude since he had gotten a rough understanding of the reason why Normies were hated so much.

'To think that the Blessed created a society that hates Normies because they cannot be restricted…though it makes sense since the masses are always afraid of those they cannot control…' He thought while hungrily finishing off the several plates of dishes in the blink of an eye.

His stomach was filled to the brim in less than half an hour and he returned to the Inn once he refilled his water at the town's well.

Once he was back inside his room, Zayn was faced with two Sparrow Spirits sitting on the shoulders of the Herculean Human Spirit. Both Human Spirits were seated on the ground in a meditative stance. They finished absorbing soul particles from their proximity and returned inside the Grimoire of the Ancient when Zayn materialized it in his hand.

He dematerialized the Grimoire a moment later, showered, and quickly grabbed his belongings except for the large iron mace and the large droplet-shaped shield. They could be picked up later when he intended to leave for good.

Zayn stepped outside his room wearing the black cloak and the mask which he had picked up when he had informed the Innkeeper about the death of the Blessed while acting as if he was utterly devastated about his discovery.

Now that his identity was hidden again, Zayn paved his way through the familiar shop where a familiar darkwood-themed interior and a familiar young and skinny merchant entered his sight.

The corners of Zayn's lips curled upward as he approached the wooden counter with confident strides.

"Show me the list of Storage Artifacts you have in your shop, bring me 10 grams of Pilavan Powder, and five Basic Potion Sets!" Zayn demanded in an overbearing manner before he pointed at the corner of the room, "I will take a look at the weapons over there."

Without waiting for the skinny merchant to say anything, Zayn walked over to one of the largest shelves where various types of daggers and knives were exhibited.

He took a look at all of them and couldn't help but smile weirdly.

The Agile Human Spirit was the fastest of his Spirits and it had a high probability of turning into an assassin with its darkness stealth and night vision. Zayn had to purchase a weapon either way, which was why he considered getting a pair of daggers.

However, there was only one issue.

'The Undeads will soon leave the Undead Cave, at least if Paul's intel was correct!'

It was not exactly a worthy investment to purchase two daggers for the Agile Human Spirit if they were bound to fight Undeads in the near future. That was a waste of money and more than enough reason for Zayn to be extremely careful with the type of weapon he purchased for his newly joined member in the Spirit Army.

Zayn spent some time carefully inspecting different weapons. He picked up a few daggers and knives, and injected his soul particles inside them to test their conductivity of soul particles and the effects that were triggered upon inserting them.

The result was somewhat disappointing, but it was not as if he had expected a lot, to begin with.

Only when he picked up a pair of karambit knuckles was he intrigued since it was not an ordinary pair of weapons.

Karambits were characterized by the curved blade that made them resemble a claw or talons. It was typically sharpened along the inner edge, while the handle was designed to fit comfortably in the hand with a hook to secure the grip.

A hook was exactly what was unveiled right in front of him with the sole difference of the karambit's blade being close to 20 centimeters long and the knuckles being made out of a special material that increased its durability the moment a single soul particle was injected into the blade.

The hook was also adorned with small spikes that could either be used to crush bones or to puncture living opponents.

Looking at the set of extraordinary karambit knuckles, he knew one thing was sure; they were terrific murder weapons!

Zayn's eyes gleamed brightly and he could hardly control himself as he stared at them.

"They're perfect!"
