Chapter 103 Ch 103: Sky Dragon Pagoda
Rameshver gazed at his son guiltily. Of course, he also saw how the Rathore Family scorned his son.
Under his father's guilt-ridden eyes, Rayan finished his breakfast gloomily. He didn't care about the antipathy thrown at him. But no matter how much he talked his father into it, Rameshver continued to feel culpable. After quite some time, Rayan stopped trying to persuade him.
The breakfast was cold. Other members of the Rathore Family obviously wouldn't get this treatment, but Rameshver and Rayan were different.
Rayan didn't care and he even wanted to use it to motivate his father's combative spirit. He didn't want his father to be labeled a coward. Unfortunately, his efforts were to no avail, so he finally gave up. If only this case had not been brought to light so soon, Rayan might have intervened in this matter.
At this point, Rayan wasn't expecting his father to change his cowardly disposition.
Moreover, Rayan's depression didn't stop there. After all, his father was a good-looking man and his mother was also exceedingly prepossessing. This led him to wonder why he seemed so ordinary? His face was barely eye-catching.
After eating, Rayan got up and went straight to his bedroom to further unravel the mystery of his body.
"Young Master, you just finished your training. I've heated some water so you could have a warm bath."
An elderly man with a soothing voice spoke from behind him as soon as Rayan entered his room.
"Thank you, Rick!" Rayan replied gently.
Rayan's mother sent Rick to take care of her son. In the Rathore Family, no one dared to offend him since he was most likely a Heaven Completion Stage expert. He was even described as Red Star City's strongest expert. However, his primary focus was on Rayan alone, and he had no concern for others. Otherwise, the Rathore Family's status would have reached the top in one shot if they had relied on Rick's capabilities.
It was precisely the presence of Rick in the house that prevented the Rathore Family from mistreating Rameshver and Rayan. All they could do was gossip about the father and his son.
As a result, while Rayan's life may not have been good for the past few years, it wasn't that bad either.
However, what others didn't know was that Rayan was actually a regressor. He had regressed back in time for some special reason.
Well, although Rayan had some notion of his background and life experiences because he was a regressor, much of his knowledge came from the stories of Rick.
In the entire Rathore Family, only Rick, Rayan, and Rameshver knew what really happened that day between Rayan's parents.
After saying a few words, Rick stepped out of the room. When Rayan finished washing his body thoroughly, he sat on the bed with his legs crossed.
Rayan started practicing the Rathore Family's basic cultivation method. Slowly, he produced a weak strand of spirit energy across his lower abdomen, which then flowed into all his body meridians. However, when it passed through his heart, this Internal Strength entered a certain place where it disappeared completely.
Simultaneously, a faint gold and red light flashed at the location of Rayan's heart.
In his previous life, Rayan lived for fifty years just like an ordinary man who can't absorb the spirit energy. His life was extremely miserable. He had become an old man while his father and mother were still young.
One day, Rayan accidentally discovered an Ancient Ruin, however, he didn't find anything there. In that Ancient Ruin, he only found one treasure, which was a Seven Story Red Pagoda.
When Rayan went near the Pagoda, as if the Pagoda was summoned, it directly entered Rayan's heart, causing Rayan to experience immense pain. As an ordinary person, he couldn't endure that pain and lost consciousness. When he opened his eyes, he found himself back in time.
He had actually regressed back in time and woke up in his younger days.
It has already been a year since he regressed, however, unlike in his previous life, for some reason, he could absorb the spirit energy. Rayan knew it must be all because of the Seven Story Red Pagoda.
Well, although he could absorb spirit energy, those spirit energy will be absorbed by the Pagoda in his heart and disappear completely. This was the reason why he couldn't cultivate in this life.
Rayan had no idea why the Pagoda was absorbing his spirit energy, but he was sure that solving this mystery would help him a great deal in his future cultivation. As a result, he allowed the continuous absorption of the spirit energy by the Pagoda for more than a year.
It was purely Rayan's instinct that prompted him to think like that.
He sometimes asked himself whether it was all a setup. He thought it would be over for him if there was any danger involved.
But he has no choice. If he wants to change what happened in his previous life, he has to continue cultivating and providing the spirit energy to Pagoda for it to absorb.
Rayan inhaled deeply and calmed himself. The basic Cultivation Method continued to circulate around his body and its direction became even more familiar to him. Rayan constantly absorbed strands after strands of spirit energy, and the Pagoda continued to absorb it.
Early the next morning, Rayan's whole body shook abruptly. To his astonishment, the radiant light in his heart shot out and directly transformed into a Red Pagoda before him.
After shining brilliantly for some time, the Red Pagoda flew back inside Rayan's heart with a slight wheezing sound once again.
A few seconds later, a Red Pagoda's marking appeared on his chest, like his skin was freshly inked. He felt it radiating some heat when he touched it.
Suddenly, Rayan's vision blurred and faded into darkness. He soon found himself in a large hall.
He began looking around the lofty main hall. Except for a circular pool in the center, everything else was spotless and desolate, making the area look incomparably spacious.
"How did I get here? And where am I, anyway? Is this the place inside the Red Pagoda?" Rayan's mind went completely blank at the moment except for that sneaking suspicion.
Before long, the entire hall shook, and a red light shone brightly. The whole room was soon flooded with extreme pressure, causing Rayan to panic. The color drained from his face and he felt like a tiny, helpless being as he found himself stuck in that room.
Shortly afterward, the radiant light split into two beams and fired at Rayan in a flash. He tried to avoid it, but the rays of light came out rapidly. Even Heavenly Completion Stage martial warriors couldn't escape such flares, so how could Rayan evade it when he wasn't even a cultivator of Foundation Establishment Stage?
Two beams of light engulfed Rayan, who cried in anxiety. He felt that his mind was inundated with a deluge of information, as if his head would explode.
Rayan's face looked vicious and the blue veins on his forehead soon protruded. He fell to the ground and recoiled in discomfort while gripping his head. After a few minutes, his entire body was soaking wet, as if he had just been immersed in water. He couldn't help feeling embarrassed by his situation.
"Damn it! Is this thing trying to hurt me?"
"Why does it keep filling my head? What the hell is going on here?"
"No, I can't pass out. What if I fall unconscious and don't wake up again? Will my life end now, and I get buried here? No, I don't want to die yet."
"I want to keep cultivating until I become at least a Crystal Transformation Stage Martial Warrior!"
Rayan poured out his emotions and wailed incessantly, but he put up with his agony until he blacked out in the end. The light beams weakened little by little before finally disappearing into thin air.
Four hours later, Rayan stirred and groaned softly. After regaining his senses, he lazily opened his eyes.
"So, was that all..."
Rayan got up and touched his head. He frowned for a moment, as though puzzled.
Within a few minutes, he recalled what had happened.
"I didn't die. It feels great to still be alive. But hold on a second. There seem to be a lot of things going on in my head."
After that, Rayan closed his eyes. In an instant, a great deal of knowledge appeared in his mind. His body trembled and he nearly passed out because of the enormous amount of information that came to him.
Rayan's face was immediately filled with elation as he scoured every piece of information. "Sky Dragon Pagoda... Sealed Dragon under the ground of the Forbidden Land of Profound Star Sect... This?"
After completely digesting everything, Rayan finally revealed a look of understanding. His face was filled with joy. He couldn't help but feel elated.
"I've to enter the Profound Star Sect as soon as possible and think of ways to enter the Forbidden Land of the Profound Star Sect. All along, I only thought that the Profound Star Sect is just a second rate force in the Middle Lands, but there is more to this sect than what meets the eyes."
