Surviving the Apocalypse While Being Tempted by an Elf and a Dark Elf

Chapter 7: Offer (2)

Chapter 7: Offer (2)

Luke frowned when he heard that. He would gain power and would even have the chance to sleep with a hot, red-haired dark elf on a daily basis? That was too good to be true.

“Yeah, right…” Luke said. “That was a pretty good one.”

“It is true actually,” the elf said. “This isn’t our true form, so you don’t have to worry about our sizes. Still… I wouldn’t like to rush things… Let’s start as friends first, and then get to know each other better, and then occasionally hold hands…”

“Boring,” the dark elf said.

Luke would be lying if he said that he never imagined a situation where monsters were invading Earth. Still, the current situation was too weird, even for his standards. Once again, he recalled that voice,… don’t lay your hands on them. Your survival depends on that.

“… I don’t have time to satisfy your weird fantasies,” Luke said. “Right now, I have other things to think of.”

“What weird fantasies?” The elf said.

“What a pity… I was kind of wishing for some exhibitionism sex in this new world, it would be pretty exciting,” the dark elf said.

“… Anyway, so, you two can help me now, but I need to help you two later? How exactly?” Luke asked.

“We came here with our own goals, besides finding suitable humans to work with,” the elf said. “You aren’t interested yet in reaching the final level of our partnership, you can help us with those and that will be fine.”

“As long as it isn’t something troublesome for the world or humans…” Luke said. “By the way… no, forget it. What do I need to do to form this partnership?”

Luke almost asked if he could obtain all the power from their species at the same time. Putting the power aside, sleeping with a hot dark elf and a cute blonde elf seemed more than worthy of getting himself involved in the problems of two species. However, Luke couldn’t lose his focus now. First and foremost, he had to find a way to communicate with his parents and keep his head where it should be.

“It is simple, you just need to tell us your name and we will tell ours,” The dark elf said. “Still, I must warn you, I will never get along with such a naive existence like her.”

“Those are my words,” the elf said.

“I am regretting this already…” Luke said and then sighed.

Unfortunately, Luke knew that he didn’t have much of choice. He wasn’t athletic, and his brain was average, and that was him being pretty full of himself. He got lucky and obtained a useful skill… but would that skill be useful against creatures that were as big and fast as cars?

“My name is Luke,” Luke said.

“I am Shalia,” the dark elf said.

“My name is Rina,” the blond elf said.

Weirdly enough, those two began to shine, and then they turned into spheres of light that landed on Luke’s shoulders. He didn’t notice anything weird after that, nor did he feel stronger. He only felt slightly troubled since he had a dark elf on his right side and a blond elf on his left side close to his ears… like they were the good and bad sides of his conscience.

“It is done,” Rina said. “For the time being, our influence in this world still is weak, but the more you trust in us, the more our power will grow, that naturally will benefit your status and skills. Also, the monsters can see us now, so please do be careful.”

“What is your current goal, Luke?” Shalia asked.

“Reach the supermarket while staying in one piece,” Luke replied. “However, that thing was in that direction.”

“If you are that worried, you can always grind before approaching your destination,” Shalia said.

“This isn’t a residential area and it is Sunday, so I won’t find zombies that easily,” Luke said and then looked at his bag filled with knives. “My stock is also running out of projectiles.”

“Using knives, grinding will be a lot smoother in the supermarket,” Rina said. “Proceed with caution, though. It should have a fairly large number of zombies there.”

Even before Luke could actually approach the entrance of the supermarket, he noticed that it had a lot of zombies. Not to mention, the glass of the doors had been broken by them, so he will have to step on glass and make a lot of noise while approaching. That being said, he didn’t have any other option, nor did Luke Have time to waste.

Thanks to Rina and Shalia, Luke’s mana and stamina were at full after just a few minutes without fighting. That being said, they increased the regeneration for just one point for the time being.

In order to avoid problems early on, Luke decided to use Weapon Augmentation to take down the six zombies at the entrance, which would leave him with only two remaining knives, but that was fine. It would be much better than fighting and making a lot of noise due to the shattered glass.

After moving for a few meters to the side, Luke obtained full view toward the enemies, and there was nothing blocking the path. Without wasting time, he threw the knives and killed the zombies one after the other. Luke’s concentration was so intense that the monsters died before a single one of them noticed him.

You obtained 06 experience points.

You obtained 06 gold coins.

Congratulations! The skill Weapon Augmentation has leveled up, and it was strengthened. You can now select the level two of the skill if you want to use it during the activation.

You obtained 05 status points.

While Luke didn’t level up, he obtained far better good news… It seemed the system wasn’t so bad, but that made him wonder how difficult things would get in the future, considering the speed of his progress.
