Chapter 131: XX: End of the Citadel
Chapter 131: XX: End of the Citadel
In the B region citadel, thousands of cultivators stood in a defensive formation around the citadel at the same time the dozen winged squad positioned themselves holding huge metal tubes like a rocket launcher but a few times bigger.
It was a magic ray cannon. Converting all the energy inside the crystals into a pure energy ray, extremely effective against beasts and highly know in the Mortal Alliance.
As the prime beasts advanced to the line of nine hundred meters outside the citadel. The winged cultivators started firing numerous colorful rays, ripping through the skies and hitting the endless black clouds that approached.
"Burn you damn monsters!" Shouted a duck as he flew in the sky shooting rays from his cannon.
They managed to take down more the five black clouds but at the cost of all of their ammo.
"We don't have crystals anymore we need to return to the citadel, we have given the oracles enough time." As the winged cultivators returned to the citadel. It was now the time for the magicians to shine.
But even without the cannons, the citadel still had massive fire power, a hundred magicians wearing the robes of the Oracles of Silence gathered in outside the city walls.
Together, all the magicians summoned a huge magic circle that covered all the citadel. This was a huge large scale forbidden spell.
At the same time all the magicians started to chant: "By the warmth of the fire! By the immensity of water! By the vast earth! By the refreshing wind! By the shadows of darkness and the purity of light! Hexa-elemental Spell, Devastation of Chaos Wrath!" All the colors merged into a colorless light that quickly transformed in a pulse of energy traveled through all the B region and a part of the C region.
Then numerous hands. swords and other weapons made of light surged from nowhere and killed the creatures one by one.
The magic circle turned more and more bright, Elijah who was with the others helping evacuate the civilians from all the B region to the mirrored place looked behind, at the enormous magic circle that covered the city.
By now, the bodies of millions and millions of those beasts covered the vast earth of the B region.
Seeing the scene, the people around him grew more calm.
"Good it seems the situation is under control now."
"Yep, I don't think we need to continue the evacuation." People started feeling positive as they saw the creatures that invaded Peuh being killed, but Elijah felt something was wrong.
When he heard a aged voice inside his head: "Boy, run away quickly." Without being able to explain way, he sudden had the impulse of escaping from there, he took hold of Cassie's hand who was treating the leg of a old woman and started running away from the citadel the fastest he could.
"Elijah what are you doing? Come back quickly!"
"Where you are running to?"
He ignored what other said and continued running until he got away from the citadel. Kiara felt strange to why he choose to help and then suddenly run away like a coward in the moment they were supposed to win.
When he got on the forest somewhat far from the citadel, Cassie looked at him with inquisitive eyes before it turned into fright.
They felt the pulse from before once again and this time they clearly saw all the swords, weapons and hands flying back to magic circle, the injuries on the body of the creatures also rewind back to when they were alive and one by one, they returned to they skies. In a shot time all the creatures that was supposed to be dead returned.
Then a third pulse resonated through the middle of the citadel to the area surrounding it and in the blink of an eye, it was gone. The area where the citadel was, the cultivators, it was all gone!
That area had turned into a deserted forest, together with all the people there and the mirrored plane.
Elijah could not even have some time to feel sad as the ground bellow him started to show cracks that revealed a black vortex bellow the deep earth.
"The thing you are looking for is down there."
