Chapter 104: XV Familiar Faces (Second Part)
The moment when Elijah saw Keith and Luna, he was completely surprised. With the reason being the coincidence of everything.
There were a large number of villages, towns and farms on the outskirts of Polaris city. With each of those villages having more than 5000 inhabitants, Elijah would have never expected that he would find them so far away from their world
Seeing the huge crowd walking towards the center of the village passing through them, Elijah put his finger on his lips and made a hand gesture for them to follow him before walking to the opposite direction of the villagers.
While walking away, they heard a sudden shout.
"Halt! Where the three of you are going?" One of the mercenaries probably the leader of this small group in the village shouted to them. Turning around to see what was happening, the mercenary managed to saw their face and his eyes lit up when he saw Luna. He quickly pointed at her and said without caring about Elijah or Keith, who closed his fists when he heard the mercenary.
"Hey you, why you and your friends were walking away? Could it be you don't have the crystals to pay? If it were any other person, I would have killed them by now but for you little lady, I could make a deal." His eyes sparkled with a lewd glint. "If you serve me and my friends tonight, I could make a exception and forget your debt." Behind him, all the mercenaries were shouting with bright eyes focusing on her.
Luna's eyes showed nothing but disgust and Keith was nearly walking towards the mercenaries with closed fists when Elijah pulled him back while sending his voice directly to Keith's mind: "You don't need to go. I always wanted the chance to test my strength. Just stay on guard and help Luna escape while I play with them."
Elijah knew exactly what was happening, just like in midgard's novels, a coincidence happened to make him fight against lewd man. It was like all this situation was tailored just for him.
After a few seconds of calculation, Elijah decided that the best way to face so many people on the fifth mortal realm was to begin with their leader.
Before anyone could notice, Elijah appeared behind him with the use of void steps. Holding an void dagger in each hand and cutting toward the man's neck, even with the powerful sense the mercenary had sharpened over the years, he could barely dodge the attack as the daggers scratched his left arm, wasting 20 percent of his total power at the same time his vital power that gathered at his wounds were dispersed by some sort of energy.
Calling his mortal will artifact, a blood red war ax appeared before Elijah illuminating his face with a sinister bloody light.
Elijah was so excited that he could not even talk, all they could see was an evil grin plastered on his face. Even the Village chief was startled by the commotion on the center of the village and went to see what was happening but what he saw only made him with his mouth hang open.
The squad leader Zigan, was even more surprised as he face palmed himself when he saw it was Elijah fighting with the mercenaries he just warned to not provoke.
Then everyone on the village felt the space changing as the light on the war ax considerably decreased.
Jumping ten meters away from Elijah as his men surrounded Elijah, each one holding a mortal will artifact.
But even with all this, the young man just stood there, allowing himself to feel all the space in the village flowing through him.
Electrical lights sparkled in his eyes as he felt the oppressive pressure form all the cultivators around him holding their mortal will artifacts, he thought. This is exactly the excitement I was looking for!
Right now, Elijah was like another person. his figure which was already tall for his age, suddenly seemed much taller... And not only his body, but his presence seemed to swell expand until it covered the entire village.
Meanwhile, the mercenaries did not seem to care about this and just rushed towards him. One of them sprang forwards and wickedly swiped his two black claws at Elijah. His claws ripped through air so quickly that most of the villagers who were at the fourth realm could not even see it.
Elijah did not even tried to block as it could heavily injure him. He just stepped to the side, but the attacker's right claw swung for another strike.
Elijah smirked as his hand swelled with primeval energy as he send a punch straight to his enemy breaking his skull apart.
But Elijah didn't look happy as he suddenly spat a mouthful of blood. Looking back, he saw an arrow stabbed on his back before his vision became blurred.
