Chapter 93: Raging Beast Soldier (2)
Chapter 93: Raging Beast Soldier (2)
"Roar-ghhh!" both roaring and howling of pain came from the Yao Soldier as it slammed onto the wall after Qin Lan's attack. The sight of this becomes funnier from a human's perspective because a creature shouldn't be able to mix them together into one.
"Are you a creature or demon? Can't you make up your mind about it?" Qin Lan approached the Yao Soldier with the Qiankun Golden Sword in hand. Spiritual Energy is channeled into the weapon without a hint of stopping as Qin Lan was preparing for a large-scale attack.
"Quiet!" the Yao Soldier howled as it releases another Thundercry without bothering how much Spiritual Energy it has left. The detonated soundwave immediately blew whatever in its proximity into shards, except for the primary target, Qin Lan.
"Stupid creature! Eat my... Aargh!" Qin Lan was going to continue taunting the Yao Soldier, but who knew it can be tricky as well. The beast's tail came from below as it entangled both of Qin Lan's legs before throwing him over a wall nearby.
"I really shouldn't underestimate this beast..." although Qin Lan managed to stops before he was crushed into the wall, there was a steep price for him to do so.
His muscle complained through a sore and painful sensation as Qin Lan flicked a few hairpins over at the Yao Soldier. Struggling to continue, Qin Lan quickly threw a few Flesh Mending Pills into his mouth to assist his body with the recovery.
"Kuangshan Healer's Art!" Qin Lan tapped a few of his acupuncture points and adjusted the flow of blood forcefully using his Spiritual Energy. But once again, Qin Lan underestimated the smartness of this Yao Soldier with its own consciousness.
"ROAR!" after noticing that Qin Lan's focus is placed on his right arm, the Yao Soldier immediately able to guess what Qin Lan is trying to do. The beast instantly changed its charging direction from the left to Qin Lan's right as it was a fatal spot for all right-handed sword users!
"Damn beast..." Qin Lan clenched his teeth harder as his intention to charge up a decisive attack was a failure.
"Come... Human!" the Yao Soldier suddenly went to a full stop and repositioned itself to Qin Lan's left. It was an act of provocation towards Qin Lan.
"Since you want me to attack so much, so be it!" Qin Lan held the Qiankun Golden Sword with both hands as he forced a few more thousand units of Spiritual Energy into the sword.
"Mistral Swordstrike!" the ancient text of (Wei) and (Lan) flashed brilliantly as Qin Lan's attack came down like a torrent of vapor. The torrential attack that came does not stop at one wave but continued until Qin Lan exhausted three-quarters of his available Spiritual Energy.
"How's that, you damn beast!" Qin Lan catches up with his breath after delivering an attack of this level. It was so far the deadliest killing blow he used from the day he can cultivate again.
"Roar!" suddenly, a blade created using Spiritual Energy came close to Qin Lan's neck.
"Mistral Mirage Steps!" Qin Lan vanishes from the spot he was standing and appeared about a few meters away from where he stands.
Droplets of sweat about the size of a glass bead rolled down to his chin as there was a shallow cut on his neck. If it was not because of his excellent martial prowess, perhaps his head would be rolling on the ground right now.
Soon, blood started to flow from the cut on his neck. The numbing sensation from earlier slowly dissipates and is replaced with a hint of pain.
Although the pain is not as unbearable as getting tortured by removing the fingernail by force, it was close.
"To think that even the power of two Ancient Text is unable to defeat a recently evolved Yao Soldier..." Qin Lan shook his head as he gently tapped the wound on his neck to stop the bleeding.
Furthermore, after exerting about three-quarters of his strength, the Qiankun Golden Sword is no longer capable of holding its shape any longer. Pieces of the sword have begun to fall like broken glasses.
In just less than a minute, the golden sword is no more. Only the Eight Transformation Treasured Brush remained in Qin Lan's hand.
But the Yao Soldier wasn't doing too well either. A deep wound can be clearly seen on the Yao Soldier's chest when the curtain of dust finally faded. Based on the amount of blood on the ground, one can roughly guess how terrible is the wound inflicted by Qin Lan using the power from two ancient texts.
Both sides were in a state of recovery right now, after the exchange earlier.
...
...
"Something must have happened inside the cave! Quickly get the villagers with some cultivation to come and help uncover the cave!" the village chief ordered. The sudden caved-in worries him as the help from Min-Ren Dwelling is yet to arrive.
Furthermore, two of the village's cultivators have gone inside the cave to have a look. What if they were trapped together with the Thundercry Lion?
"Please let nothing happen... Please..." the village chief prayed as he helped the others to move the rock away from the collapsed tunnel leading deeper into the cave.
...
...
"Let's get it all over again." Qin Lan raised the Eight Transformation Treasured Brush in his hand higher after tapping his Purple-Dragon Spatial Jade once again for nine additional pieces of Offensive Metal ingots.
This was all the Offensive Metal Ingots he has in his possession.
Only two out of the eight transformations required a minimum of nine Offensive Metals to reform its appearance. Six ingots to form the six foot's long body, one for the tip, one for the pommel, and one for the decorative tassel.
Soon, a long spear close to seven and a half foot long came into Qin Lan's possession as it was steadily draining the Spiritual Energy through Qin Lan's palm.
To end this decisive battle, Qin Lan took the last Essence Transformation Pill. The medicinal effect of the pill soon kicked in as the natural Spiritual Energy around the cave is flowing naturally into Qin Lan's body.
That's including the essence from Kunlun Hill's Dragon Moss hidden within the Mountain and Sea Sublime Painting.
"Thundercry Lion... Oh, my mistake... You should be better known as the Raging Beast Soldier right now, am I correct?" Qin Lan chooses to speak now before it was too late for him to do so.
"Let's end this battle right here. You're considered lucky to be able to see this weapon of mine that was once sealed for killing too much," Qin Lan said. The close to seven and a half foot long spear soon released a hum as the last thread on the skirting is finally formed beautifully.
"And... What... What is your weapon... Name?" the Raging Beast Soldier scratched the ground until a mark appeared on it as it speaks.
"The Pillar of Kuangshan Mountain." Qin Lan said.
