Supreme Emperor of Mist

Chapter 63: Essence Transformation Pill (2)

Chapter 63: Essence Transformation Pill (2)

Half a day later, something finally happened in two out of the ten fertilizer balls. Instead of calling it a budding sprout, it was more like something grown out from the Golden Sparrow Flower.

The tip of the blade was gently grown out from the rich soil. Green like emerald, lush but soft, it was indeed something unordinary. As for the poison substance within the Golden Sparrow Flower, they've turned into a layer of mist.

The layer of mist was stabilized through the Formation of Poison Accumulation as it converts the environment into one that could effectively nourish the plants.

But who could have foreseen that something like this could actually grow out of the Golden Sparrow Flower? Even just thinking about it would make them feel outrageous and misled by the fact they believed in.

Of course, it was not a secret to Qin Lan.

After all, he was the reincarnation of "forefather Lu" as stated in the legend about medicine and herbology. There would be nobody more qualified than Qin Lan when it comes to experimenting and herbology.

Still, knowing does not mean success. Even Qin Lan wouldn't claim he's omnipotent in medicine and herbology with all the knowledge collected in his memories.

Evidently, the result from his half-day effort only yields two blades of emerald-green grasses out of ten fertilizer balls.

Like it was a fragile and weak infant on Qin Lan's hands, he gently moves the plant into a much bigger pot to allow them to develop. Qin Lan then continued with the remaining thirty sets of ingredients, which took him two days altogether.

There were slight changes on the third day morning.

Out of the six blades of emerald grasses that he cultivated, only one of them managed to grow further. Like a stalk of grain, bunches of florets can be seen hanging on top of the plant.

The florets that closely resemble the respiratory organ appeared to be breathing under Qin Lan's passionate gaze. Of course, it wasn't as evident as how white vapor came out when a person took a breath under the freezing weather.

Still, it is easy for one to catch a hint of what the emerald grasses were doing. The poison mist that lingered around the room gets thinner gradually as the dew started to form on the tip of the grasses.

(It's your turn now, Torrential Spirit Fruit!)

Qin Lan patted the Purple-Dragon Spatial Jade on his waist to access the forty fruits with the appearance of lotus seed. A hint of Spiritual Energy drying up can be noticed through naked eyes on the spot where Qin Lan placed the Torrential Spirit Fruit.

The reason behind this phenomenon is due to the juices that still remained inside of the fruit. What it could do was corroding the Spiritual Energy and render them useless. In fact, it wasn't poison at all because there was no life-threatening issue from consuming this fruit before it was processed.

And right now, away from the prying eyes of an outsider, Qin Lan is prepared to create another miracle.

Using his index finger as the focus point, Qin Lan concentrated his excessive Spiritual Energy on this fingertip until a thin but sharp energy blade appeared.

He swings his finger across a row of the fruits. Out of five, three successfully split into halves. But the fourth was damaged as the Spiritual Energy from the blade is insufficient.

(Three fruits. My limit is now at three fruits)

Qin Lan whispered to himself. After accumulating his Spiritual Energy once again, Qin Lan repeated the process another twelve times. There are now 78 Torrential Spirit Fruits scattered around Qin Lan, all cut into halves.

(If those Alchemists saw what I've done to the Torrential Spirit Fruit, they'll be surprised by the content inside)

A chuckle came from Qin Lan as he's smiling on his own. It didn't take too long for the Formation of Poison Accumulation to react with the fruits he cut into halves. The process similar to the Golden Sparrow Flower soon repeats itself with the Torrential Spirit Fruit.

Perhaps only the most eccentric cultivar would know the reason behind Qin Lan's action.

The milky-green vapor soon combined and enhanced the concentration of poison in the air. The poisonous essence from the Golden Sparrow Flower has an aftertaste of sweetness. But with the Torrential Spirit Fruit added inside, a hint of the coldness from mint leaves started to appear.

Nourished with the Spiritual Energy through Qin Lan Spiritual Container Physique as the root and the air from the Formation of Poison Accumulation, it was a perfect balance.

Without years of experience and failures, it would be difficult for anyone to repeat Qin Lan's success.

This is also why the Department of Heaven's Blessing and Earth's Blessing was the most mysterious amongst the eight Departments of Treasure Master.

Thin flakes started to shed from the emerald grass. In the middle of the blade itself, a durable stem appeared. The dew that gathered on the grass a while ago has now evaporated.

The florets, on the other hand, matured faster than before. But none of them resemble the appearance of the Golden Sparrow Flower with three distinct petals.

There is only one similarity between them. The grainy florets are had a golden husk like the flower and a white like gypsum powder's flesh.

(Five days... This went on better than expected)

Qin Lan turned the remaining carcasses he bought from Hunter's Store into fertilizer and planted the florets grown from that particular emerald grass.

Patiently, his seclusion continued until a week is finally ended.

...

...

On the eighth day, a medicine boy gives the door to Qin Lan's room a knock as he asked for his permission to enter the room.

When Qin Lan came to receives him, a surge of sweetness from an unknown plant entered the disciple's nose. The flavor from the fragrance was filled with an indescribable vitality that made the disciple felt somewhat energetic.

"Good morning, fellow disciple Qin Lan. I'm here to check if there's anything I can help today." the Medicine Boy addressed Qin Lan the moment he opened the door.

"There's indeed something you could help, fellow disciple Li Wei." Qin Lan smiled. He would felt somewhat awkward if it was someone else that knocked on his door today.

But since he and Li Wei's friendship had come along since his first day in Dan-Xin Dwelling, it felt much more comfortable for him to ask for Li Wei's help.

"Feel free to let me know. I'll do my best to help," Li Wei smiled.

"I would like to obtain a piece of land suitable to cultivate my own medicinal herbs. And also, I need a trusted friend than willing to help me as I build my reputation. Do you have anyone in mind?" Qin Lan dropped the bait with a hook through his sentence.

"It won't be easy to apply for the land, but I do have some way. Let me make it happen to you." Li Wei smiled. Instead of talking about business with Qin Lan, he went straight to providing help to Qin Lan without negotiating.

But he has no idea.

That his success in the future all came from this sentence.
