Chapter 505: Chapter 499 Foolish Humans…

Finn Lewis was just about to ask if this was Zero’s spaceship because the silhouette of the previous spacecraft was obviously there to assist him, likely dispatched by Zero. He wasn’t sure if it was the same ship, the previous one had just shown its outline before becoming optically invisible again quickly, so Finn didn’t get a clear look at it. He only had a rough idea of its shape and size which was similar to this one.

But before Finn could ask, he saw a hatch open from underneath the spacecraft. Immediately, a figure fell straight down from above. The person appeared to disregard all gravitational forces as he descended, moving towards Finn as soon as his feet touched the ground. The landing site wasn’t far away, but that detail was the least important of all.

What was most astonishing was that this individual didn’t resemble the alien Finn Lewis had just encountered. In fact, he looked no different from a human. Dressed in a black suit, otherworldly yet well-fitted, the stranger wore a dark red cape that trailed behind him on the ground.

After landing on the ground, he walked straight to Finn, stopping when he was less than three meters away. This wasn’t Zero! Nor was this a robot. Finn felt it right away due to the distinct glint of intelligence in the stranger’s eyes.

The man appeared to be in his early twenties. He glanced around before a bizarre smile surfaced on his face. Looking at Finn, he said, “Unexpected, you’ve stirred quite an upheaval here.”

Finn frowned instantly because he couldn’t understand what the stranger was talking about. Not that he didn’t comprehend the language – surely he understood the pure Flame Nation language – but he just couldn’t grasp the meaning of the whole sentence.

“Who are you?!” Finn asked, his voice deep and stern.

“Ha! Who am I? You’re not worthy of knowing my name right now. But be aware, you won’t be able to escape from today’s events more than a few times,” the man laughed aloud as he replied.

Is he sane? Finn thought, his brows furrowing. An alien who’s gone mad? Despite being overwhelmed and astonished, Finn noticed that the previously devastated forest behind the stranger was slowly returning to its original state. The broken trees were gradually restoring under an invisible light, even the underground damage was healing rapidly.

Sensing Finn’s surprise, the man across from him smiled oddly and said, “Incomprehensible? For your current brain capacity, it’s already impressive that you haven’t peed yourself out of fear. Do you think that by obtaining alien technology, you’ve become invincible on this planet? Heh heh, using your phrase, you’re really ‘a frog in a well’, a foolish one at that. You think your robot is unbeatable with such a piece of junk?”

“Are you out of your mind?!” Finn finally snapped. He had a feeling that this guy probably wouldn’t do anything to him now, otherwise, he would not have bothered to talk nonsense. According to the implication in his words, Finn guessed this man was likely the one who sent the assassin. But for some reason, he didn’t use his own spacecraft to kill Finn. Instead, he just descended and talked nonsense with Finn.

The man had been rude from the start, so Finn wasn’t going to hold back either. “Heck, as for now, Zero is playing dead and I can’t handle this guy myself. Whether I live or die is in his hands anyway. I don’t have a choice,” Finn thought, his rebellious spirit sparked. “Who cares? We’ll all die in the end. Let’s die with the sky above, damn it all!”

“You wouldn’t understand even if I told you. You absolutely can’t grasp it. I’m anticipating one day hearing news of your death. Relax, it won’t be long,” the stranger continued, turned around, and walked back towards his ship. He quickly ascended back to it.

By this time, the destroyed forest around them had been restored to its original state. Inside, Finn was flabbergasted, but he managed to keep a straight face, unsure whether the bastard could see him from the spaceship. After the man had returned to the sky, the green protective cover began to dissolve quickly. The spaceship became completely invisible and disappeared.

About ten minutes later, Olivia Thatcher’s voice suddenly rang out, “Young Master, are you okay?”

“I’m fine.” Finn shook his head, “How about you?”

“I’m fine… the car has been restored to normal,” Olivia said.

“Restored to normal? What do you mean?” Finn was puzzled.

“It’s the same as before it was damaged. There seemed to be an invisible force that erased all the damage we had taken,” Olivia found an explanation that Finn could understand.

Finn was taken aback, he glanced around and saw the tree that he had smashed before had returned to normal. He quickly rushed to the tree and observed it carefully; the tighter he looked, the more shocked he became. The tree had no wounds or any other traces of damage!

It was as if everything Finn had just experienced was a dream! If it weren’t for the slight pain he was experiencing, Finn would have thought he was dreaming. What kind of technology was that?! Too horrifying! Finn felt ill at ease. Because the jerk who had descended from the spaceship had said he was waiting for news of Finn’s demise.

With that level of technology, was there a chance of escape? Finn suddenly felt a sensation as if something was strangling him. The feeling of not being in control was unbearably frustrating.

“Zero!” Finn shouted again. Olivia was unable to resolve this matter. Throughout the incident, Zero had been mysteriously absent. Considering the circumstances of the man’s appearance earlier, Finn felt that Zero’s disappearance had a lot to do with the man’s arrival.

“What is it,” Zero’s familiar cold voice once again echoed in Finn’s mind. But unlike before, when Zero’s voice resonated, Finn felt a sense of comfort and safety that he had never felt before.
