Chapter 500: Chapter 494 The Role of Genius – Part 2

When the vehicle finally made it to the very bottom, Gregory Worthington was stunned by the sight of the deep blue space-time portal and its accompanying vortex. He sat in the car, staring through the windshield at the spectacle before him, in such a shocked state that Finn Lewis began to worry that he might have been scared stupidthere. Suddenly, Gregory let out a strange yell, then jumped out of the car and sprinted towards the space-time door.

Finn was startled, thinking to himself, ‘If he rushes over there without clearance, the robots on the other side will instantly eliminate him.’ Finn quickly hopped out of the car and began running after Gregory. Although the portal seemed enormous from here, they were still quite a distance away, and he knew that Gregory with his constitution, couldn’t run that fast.

However, Gregory didn’t sprint the entire way there. He stopped quite a distance away from the portal, studying it and the vortex around it with shining eyes. By the time Finn had caught up with him, Gregory interrupted before he could speak. “This is some sort of wormhole, isn’t it?” he asked excitedly. “This must be a controllable wormhole bridging technology. Where does it lead to?”

Finn was momentarily taken aback before he said: “I’m not sure whether it’s a wormhole or not. But it doesn’t link to any place in this universe.”

“Not this universe? Do you mean there are multiple universes? Based on what sort of multiverse?” Gregory asked, entirely captivated, looking full of excitement.

“Um, a six-dimensional space, I suppose.” Finn pondered. Since the crystal was named the Six-Dimensional Saiyan Crystal, he figured it probably was from a six-dimensional space.

“Six-dimensional space? Currently, humanity has only discovered a four-dimensional space, and we’re not even sure if further dimensions exist. Are you sure it’s a six-dimensional space?” Gregory was stupefied.

“I’m sure.” Finn nodded his head and shrugged his shoulders, “Although I may not be deeply versed in space physics, these aliens describe it as such. So yes, I’m certain it’s a six-dimensional space.”

“Okay then. Is there any detection equipment that I can use? I want to study this space portal.” Gregory asked eagerly.

“Well, let me take you around this base first. You’ll have plenty of time to research this portal later. Plus, I still need the portal, so don’t mess it up.” Finn asked with a bit of unease.

Who knew how Gregory’s research would go? These scientists had the potential to be extremely destructive. Finn decided to be cautious.

“Don’t worry, I won’t break it. I haven’t started testing it yet, but this portal is extremely stable. To destroy it, one would need an immense amount of energy, which would be difficult to gather. Can you provide it?” Gregory asked curiously, then continued, “As for the base tour, I’ll find you later. Right now, I can’t wait to research this portal.”

Gregory gestured at the portal before him and said, “Okay, Henry Lewis, come here.” Finn motioned for Henry Lewis to come over with a slight feeling of helplessness.

“Young Master.” After saluting Finn, Henry turned to greet Gregory, “Hello, Mr. Worthington.”

“A robot?” Gregory began to look at Henry up and down.

“Yes.” Henry nodded and smiled.

“Your central processor is significantly more advanced than Jim Lewis’s.” Gregory quickly concluded. Hearing this, Finn ignored the comment. Hanging around these people was devastating to his confidence.

“Henry, prepare whatever experiment equipment he needs. But remember, he cannot go to the other side. Clear up any doubts he has,” Finn said straightforwardly.

“Yes, young master,” Henry replied.

“Wait a minute, I want to know, what’s on the other side of this portal? I inferred from what you said earlier, have you been there?” Gregory asked in amazement.

“It’s another space, or another Earth, but it’s not in the same period as ours,” Finn said after thinking for a moment. There was no harm in telling Gregory this; he saw no need for it to be a secret.

“Six-dimensional space, does it refer to a multiverse theory?” Gregory immediately furrowed his brows.

“That’s for you to research,” Finn shrugged and continued, “Will you continue the base tour with me now, or would you like to stay here?”

“You go ahead. I want to study this space portal first. The concept of the multiverse is the most fascinating thing to me. Nothing else matters. I need a Doppler Ultrasound Detector…” Gregory turned to Henry, totally ignoring Finn. With a shrug of his shoulders, Finn decided to leave. He trusted Henry to handle the rest.

Finn headed back to his villa to check the latest updates. There was nothing significant so far.

“Yes, we’ll take care of this issue. I’ll inform both Lewis senior and Wise Lewis to start preparing. Considering the current flow of time, the 18-year-olds will enter this space-time in 15 years, which would be a four-month wait for the first batch of people in our time. Henry quickly calculated.

Finn nodded. Four months meant February of next year. He didn’t know how many people were in the first batch, but he was sure it wouldn’t be a small number. As long as this process continued, the population of Proudshire would be significantly complemented. The evolving population structure would change the power dynamics within the state. Who would hold the influence was yet to be seen.

“Alright then,” Finn confirmed the plan, despite deciding the destiny of many orphans. But he held no remorse, because life wouldn’t have spared these orphans in their time anyway. Therefore, he considered his actions somewhat noble.

At least they have the opportunity to live in modern times, even if they ended up working for him eventually.

The next morning, Finn was rudely awakened by Gregory. He casually walked into Finn’s room without knocking. Finn, slightly annoyed, forced himself out of his bed and addressed Gregory with a sense of regret, “What’s up?”

“Of course there’s something! After analyzing it overnight, I’ve already got a ton of information. I want to experiment with the wormhole. Can we change its coordinates? I want to see if we can connect it to other time-spaces,” Gregory spoke rapidly.

“Can it be modified?” Finn asked, looking slightly speechless.
