Super Gene Ⅱ: Evolution

Chapter 304: Chapter 304: Demon Master Demon Bone

"Celestial Race boy, don't be in such a hurry; we have plenty of time to have a good chat." The tiger-headed person glanced at Tian Xin and then turned to Lin Shen and said, "Kid, what race are you?"

"Human." Lin Shen replied.

Upon hearing the name of the race Lin Shen reported, the tiger-headed person visibly hesitated for a moment, murmuring, "Human, that's rather peculiar."

"What's peculiar about it?" Lin Shen couldn't help but ask.

"Of course it's peculiar. I have seen no fewer than a hundred thousand races in this universe, but someone as peculiar as you, this is a first for me," the tiger-headed person said.

"I don't find anything peculiar about myself." Lin Shen felt the tiger-headed person's words were somewhat baffling.

The tiger-headed person sized up Lin Shen and said, "Are there many people in the Human Race? Do they all look like you?"

"There are several billion of us, not too few, I suppose. Mostly they look quite similar to me. What's peculiar about that?" Lin Shen asked again.

"Don't you think that your Human Race is missing something?" the tiger-headed person said.

"Missing what?" Lin Shen looked down at himself and didn't feel he was missing anything.

"How should I put it," the tiger-headed person mused for a moment before saying, "Let's put it this way, this boy from the Celestial Race, he has Celestial Wings on his back. Our Taiger Clan people, have tiger heads. Many races in the universe have their own characteristics. But with your appearance, there's nothing distinctive at all.

All the features on your body can be seen in other races; there is nothing unique to your race."

Lin Shen paused slightly, as he truly had not thought about this issue before, but upon reflection, it indeed seemed to be the case.

The cosmic races he knew of, although similar in appearance to Humans, all had their own unique physical characteristics, while Humans indeed seemed to lack any unique physical traits.

"Did you bring us here just to study this?" Tian Xin interjected.

"It was just an offhand remark," the tiger-headed person said with a smile, "I called you here because I have a few questions to ask you, and there is also a favor I wish to ask of you."

"How may we address you?" Tian Xin did not ask what the matter was, instead inquiring about the background of the tiger-headed person.

"I've been here too long; it's been such a long time since I used a name, I've almost forgotten what mine is. Let me think." The tiger-headed person closed his eyes as if digging deep into his memories.

Lin Shen and Tian Xin exchanged glances, their curiosity growing.

Given that Giant Ring Star had only been discovered a dozen or so years ago, it seemed strange for the tiger-headed person to talk as if he had been here much longer.

"Almost forgot, my name is Demon Bone," the tiger-headed person finally remembered his own name.

"Demon Master Demon Bone..." Tian Xin heard the tiger-headed person's name and seemed to be taken aback, looking at him incredulously and asking, "Are you really the Demon Master Demon Bone?"

"It seems my name, Demon Bone, has not been forgotten by the universe," Demon Bone said with some pride, continuing, "The title Demon Master is a misunderstanding by others. I am merely the Emperor Master of the Taiger Clan."

"It's actually you?" Tian Xin became even more surprised.

"Is he famous?" Lin Shen couldn't help but ask.

"More than just famous, Demon Master Demon Bone, the Emperor's Master of the Taiger Clan, played a pivotal role in the Taiger Clan rising to the top ten in the universe rankings," Tian Xin said thoughtfully.

Demon Bone laughed upon hearing this, "What pivotal role. Celestial youth, there's no need to embellish. Those Other Races gave me the nickname of Demon Master because, as the Emperor's Master, I once planned the extermination of numerous cosmic races."

Lin Shen felt a chill in his heart upon hearing this; racial extermination was not something ordinary individuals could accomplish.

It would take a person of extraordinary ruthlessness to go so far as to completely annihilate a race.

Encountering such a person, he and Tian Xin probably were not in for anything good.

Demon Bone seemed to have no intention of explaining further, merely stating indifferently, "Is the Celestial Race currently in control of Giant Ring Star?"

"Indeed," Tian Xin could not be sure this person was indeed the Demon Master Demon Bone, but didn't dare to offend him either.

Beside him, the humanoid tank alone was not something he and Lin Shen could confront.

Demon Bone pondered before asking further, "How long has the Celestial Race controlled Giant Ring Star?"

"About seventeen or eighteen years," Tian Xin answered truthfully; this was no secret, there was no need for concealment.

"Only seventeen or eighteen years? Then who controlled Giant Ring Star before you?" Demon Bone seemed surprised, quickly following up with another question.

"The teleporter leading to Giant Ring Star was discovered by our Celestial Race seventeen or eighteen years ago, and before that, no one controlled Giant Ring Star," Tian Xin responded.

"Seventeen or eighteen years... no one..." Demon Bone seemed very astonished, even somewhat unable to accept it, muttering to himself with furrowed brows.

"How long have you been here?" Lin Shen, driven by curiosity, asked.

"Without a device to keep time, I can't remember clearly, but I guess it has been a few hundred Cosmic Years," Demon Bone answered off-handedly.

This response shocked both Lin Shen and Tian Xin. If Demon Bone wasn't lying, then someone from the Taiger Clan had discovered Giant Ring Star hundreds of years ago.

But why hadn't the Taiger Clan come to develop Giant Ring Star in all those years, only entering the picture after the Celestial Race had discovered it?

Demon Bone seemed to have come to some realization and did not linger on the issue any longer, instead he continued to ask, "What's the current ranking of the Taiger Clan in the universe?"

"Fourth," Tian Xin replied.

Demon Bone appeared even more puzzled and asked further, "And the Supreme Clan?"

"First," Tian Xin was now somewhat convinced that Demon Bone had been here for centuries, otherwise, how could he not know that the Supreme Clan was currently the Cosmic's Foremost Race.

The Supreme Clan had risen from being just within the top hundred to becoming the foremost within the universe in less than three hundred years.

This was considered a miracle in the universe, but because the population of the Supreme Clan was small and they did not accept affiliation from Other Races, no one from the Supreme Clan ever proclaimed themselves the Realm King.

And because of the existence of the Supreme Clan, there had been no true Realm King in the last few centuries.

Even those who claimed to be Realm Kings, although their power and influence almost dominated the universe, couldn't be considered real Realm Kings without having conquered the Supreme Clan.

"The Supreme Clan is first? How is that possible?" Demon Bone, as if hearing a fantastical tale, couldn't help but widen his eyes.

"It's indeed first, not only in terms of combat strength but also evolution level, which has far surpassed other races. More than twenty years ago, the Supreme Clan already gave rise to the first naturally born Nirvana Being, with the name Di Esi known throughout the universe," Tian Xin said.
