Chapter 238: Chapter 238 Terrifying Fist Power
"Stop." A golden streak of light flew out from the Sea Corn Base, revealing itself to be Lin Miao wrapped in the aura of the Six Paths Phoenix.
Lin Miao couldn't stand idly by and watch Lin Shen be killed; if anyone should die first, it should be her, as this was originally her matter to face.
Wan Shuiliu saw Lin Miao and also heard her voice, but he had no intention of stopping; the Spirit Base Knife in his hand continued to slash down.
Lin Miao clenched her teeth, her eyes nearly spitting fire in frustration, yet she was utterly helpless.
Hai Daxiu witnessed this scene and couldn't help but shake his head and sigh.
The girl beside Tu Xiaodao couldn't bear to watch anymore and turned to say to him, "Brother, let's go."
Tu Xiaodao silently rose; he wanted to help Lin Shen, and he wasn't afraid of the Wan Family.
But he was no match for Wan Shuiliu; to step forward would be to court death.
Moreover, eleven Ascenders from the Wan Family were watching intently like tigers waiting to pounce, and he certainly didn't have the ability to take on so many alone.
"Sigh, it was you who taught me to keep a low profile, to accumulate strength," Tu Xiaodao lamented inwardly, turning his head for one last look at Lin Shen.
However, upon this glance, Tu Xiaodao's pupils suddenly contracted, his face taking on an expression as though he had seen a ghost.
Lin Shen, restrained under the might of the Seventh Turn Prison King's Eye, suddenly emitted a burst of blood light, and his body began to move.
"Impossible!" Everyone who witnessed this scene had their eyes widen to the extreme; their eyeballs nearly popping out.
How could a Mutator break free from the restraint of the Seventh Turn Prison King's Eye? It defied all logic.
Hai Daxiu, Instructor Mu, Tu Xiaodao, and the many Ascenders of the Wan Family all stared at Lin Shen with their eyes wide open, their faces filled with shock and disbelief.
Wan Shuiliu, who had swung his knife at Lin Shen's arm, was also in disbelief. How could a mere Mutator break the confinement of the Seventh Turn Prison King's Eye?
"Impossible... absolutely impossible..." Wan Shuiliu was horrified and at a loss, for not only had Lin Shen broken free from the restraint of the Prison King's Eye, but his fist, at a speed Wan Shuiliu couldn't match, carried a terrifying, shrill scream as it thundered toward him.
It was so fast, too fast; even Wan Shuiliu, a Seventh Turn Ascender, felt like his movement speed had slowed to that of a turtle under such velocity.
At such a short distance, with such a swift punch, Wan Shuiliu had no chance to dodge; the Base Mutation Carapace emerged on his body, as he desperately tried to change the course of his knife to meet Lin Shen's fist head-on.
The Seventh Turn Blood Prison King above his head and the eye in the palm of his hand unleashed powerful beams, doing their utmost to restrain Lin Shen's movements.
Useless, utterly ineffective.
The blood halo of light was as if warped by a terrifying force, completely unable to bind Lin Shen's body.
Boom!
Lin Shen's fist, radiant with brilliant light and tainted with blood, met Wan Shuiliu's long knife.
In the brief moment of contact, the First Turn Spirit Base Knife shattered into fragments, exploding like tofu under the might of Lin Shen's fist.
Without the slightest pause, Lin Shen's fist, accompanied by the sound of thunder, struck Wan Shuiliu squarely in the chest.
Blood, shattered bones, viscera, and fragments of carapace erupted from Wan Shuiliu's back as if from a volcanic explosion.
Standing behind Wan Shuiliu, the Wan Family Ascender who was directly facing him was hit by the erupting debris; his body was covered in holes and blood formed a large fan-shaped spray pattern behind him.
Nearby Ascenders who had been splashed with blood stepped back in shock as they came to their senses, retreating from the wounded Ascender.
When they subconsciously turned to look at Wan Shuiliu, they were even more horrified and backed away repeatedly.
Wan Shuiliu's entire chest had been blown open, leaving a gaping hole. Both his Seventh Turn Ascender's body and Base Mutation carapace had been punched into pulp.
Many of the Wan Family's remaining ten Ascenders felt the urge to turn tail and flee, taking to the skies.
In their eyes, Lin Shen had become something other than human, nothing short of a monster.
The body of a Mutator releasing such terrifying strength, if not a monster, then what?
Tu Xiaodao's mouth hung open for a long while without closing, while the Ximen Swordsman, who had been ready to leave, froze on top of the wall, staring blankly as Wan Shuiliu's mangled body slowly fell.
Hai Daxiu was also stunned in place, motionless for a long while.
Instructor Mu's eyes were filled with ecstatic joy, but then he was overrun by countless doubts, "Could that kid actually be an alien monster in human skin?"
Even Lin Miao, who had rushed out from inside the base, stopped in mid-air, unable to believe what she saw as she looked at Lin Shen and the falling body of Wan Shuiliu.
As Wan Shuiliu's body thunderously collapsed, his Blood Prison King Life Base above his head also lost its vitality, falling to the ground.
The numerous eyes of the Prison King in the palms also closed, no longer radiating with halos of light.
Lin Shen slowly withdrew his fist, turning his gaze to the other Wan Family Ascenders. Swept by his look, those normally haughty Ascenders involuntarily stepped back, their expressions as if they had seen a ghost.

"Aren't you after my life? I'm right here," Lin Shen said calmly, appearing like the Grim Reaper gazing at the Ascenders, but internally he was frantically panicked, "Why aren't these guys running away? The power of my Sacrificial Halo is already spent; I can't possibly be a match for these ten Ascenders if we continue to fight. What am I supposed to do now!"
Provoked by Lin Shen's words, the Ascenders seemed to wake from a dream and turned to flee into the heavens.
"Everyone stop," a sword light flashed, blocking the Ascenders who were about to take flight.
One of the Ascenders stood his ground without fleeing, still staring coldly at Lin Shen.
Above his head, a great sword gleaming with the golden light of the sun swirled around, blocking all the Ascenders attempting to escape.
"Wan Guliu, what are you doing? If we don't leave now, do you want us all to die here?" one of the Ascenders bellowed in anger.
"No one will die," Wan Guliu said without looking at him, only staring at Lin Shen as he coldly spoke, "A Base Mutation capable of unleashing such power; do you think that's normal? If he still had the ability to unleash that strength, do you think he would let us go? The only possibility for his not attacking us is that he has no more strength left to do so."
"This is all your speculation..." the Ascender's words were cut off by Wan Guliu.
"That's why I'll be the touchstone. If he still has the power to kill me with that strength, then it won't be too late for you to escape. If he can't even kill me, a mere First Turn Ascender, it's just one Base Mutation; what are you so afraid of?" With that, Wan Guliu's sun-like magnificent great sword transformed into a golden rainbow, charging at Lin Shen.
"We're so close to success, yet it's a pity—the Wan Family is not an ordinary clan after all. At a critical moment, someone can stand up." The Ximen Swordsman narrowed his eyes, his judgment matching that of Wan Guliu. He too believed that it was unlikely Lin Shen could unleash that horrific strength a second time.
