Chapter 86
Chapter 86: The wealthy soldier
“I-I’m sorry. Lupa is not a bad girl...” Lupa apologetically said while her ears and tail dropped down from worry.
[Haha. You look like a panty thief from some comics. Wait. Might you be the seventh perverted hero by any chance?... Pfff, haha]
Kazumi couldn’t hold her laughter any longer. She rolled on the soft emerald grass while laughing her wisp ass off.
“Help me stand up, then sort the clothes by yourself as a punishment.” Vincent frowned. He didn’t like being at the end of the joke. Not with women’s underwear on his head and on his body.
Lupa helped him stand up. She felt relieved that Vincent gave her a light punishment. Shortly, many clothes laid sorted together on the ground, allowing them to count and know the types of clothes held within the sexist bag.
There was a variety of clothes split between male and female clothing, between shirts, pants, underwear, and skirts. It seemed the old woman was in charge of taking care of the clothes.
[Ahem... now we have a lot of clothes to change in. Underwears, plain-looking clothes, and one or a few elegant dresses. It’s a nice haul, yet it shows how much a Bag Of Holding can store items inside of it at the same time.]
.....
[Unlike the Soul Dimension Storage researched by yours truly, the items shot out while rapidly expanding to their original size. However, our version turns the items into mana particles, saving a lot of space. We should be able to carry more items since it’s a difference between object compression vs object liquefaction.]
“What about the red one?” Lupa asked, intending to open the Blood Bound Bag Of Holding. She wanted to open the small red bag with care to redeem her previous blunder.
“That’s a problem. It a Blood Bound Bag Of Holding, but it didn’t open when I touched the bag with Kass’s blood. ” Vincent replied with a sad frown.
He remembered how in games, character bound items could only be equipped or used by the specific item owners. The small red bag couldn’t be opened anymore since Kass was dead.
“Really?” Ester asked in surprise.
“This type costs a lot and has a lot of storage space inside. The only downside is that it opens by a drop of blood from a living person. ” Ester then went to the cart, searched a bag for a few small sundries she packed, and brought a needle with her.
“However, my father told me how they could only get opened by people related to the first owner by a maximum of five generations apart.” Ester raised the needle and continued, “A drop of Tula’s blood should do the trick.”
“Wa-what? I-I hate owwie.” Tula replied with a scared expression and hiding her hands behind her back like a little child.
[Ester’s stepfather sure knows a lot of stuff. Well, at least we know where to find the key. The problem is persuading the human key to poke her finger and open the small red bag.]
“Can you show me your finger? You won’t feel a thing if I use this. You have my word.” Vincent asked after grabbing the pouch with numb paste inside.
Tula turned her head around to find a way to say no. But she saw Vincent and Ester nod with a warm smile.
On the other hand, Lupa seemed like she didn’t care about her feelings. All she wanted was to carefully open the small red bag and redeem herself.
Tula didn’t appear to have a choice but to accept. She closed her eyes and extended her trembling finger to open the bag with her blood.
“And... it’s done.” Vincent said after quickly applying the numb paste and poke her finger a few seconds later.
“Huh?” Tula opened her eyes. She curiously looked at her finger covered with a bit of numb paste and a tiny bead of blood remaining on her thumb.
“Humph. My mate never lies. ” Lupa swiftly grabbed the small red bag from Vincent’s hands with a drop of blood on it.
“I will open it carefully this time.” Lupa carefully opened the Blood Bound Bag Of Holding.
The bag opened, as Ester said. It seemed that a drop of blood was needed to keep the bag unlocked until the blood gets cleaned or dries a few minutes later.
Lupa slowly summoned the items inside one after the other on the ground with a proud smirk. Soon, a variety of items lay before them on the ground.

Vincent found all about the items without touching them. The crafted items displayed who their crafter was while a few other items such as the silver necklace, six-sided dice, the small bags, Kass engraved shield and the standard coins didn’t.
[We better be careful not to leave any Mutated Ash behind, or we could get discovered. We don’t know what other uses it could have if someone studies it.]
-You are right. I should store the Mutated Ash every time I stop using Overheat.-
Lupa picked up the shiny golden rings while Ester picked up the magical pen and parchment. Both carefully inspected the items in their hands, filled with intrigue.
“What’s in that packed small bag? or that shiny looking gem, big brother? Why aren’t you looking at the items?” Tula asked with curiosity.
“I can find out what they are with my ability. But this Inspection gemstone is intriguing.” Vincent picked the Inspection gemstone and raised it shoulder high.
Ester immediately turned her gaze at the gemstone and exclaimed, “Inspection Gemstone! Wait! Can you tell me the grade and uses of all these items?”
Vincent soon explained all the items, money, grades found, and uses remaining. Ester barely blinked after hearing the details. Her crimson eyes moved multiple times over the items as if they were priceless treasures.
“Your uncle Kass... he was rich. ” Ester uttered while placing the magical pen and parchment on the ground. Then she asked, “Was he a noble?”
“You said nobles have surnames, right?” Vincent asked.
Ester nodded, confirming that only nobles have surnames.
“Then, he wasn’t a noble because he didn’t have a surname. However, his armor was different. Could it be that sponsor thing?”
“I’m sorry. I don’t know what the concept of sponsoring a soldier means.” Ester felt a bit useless for not being very helpful.
“I’m sorry big sister. I can’t help; I only know my daddy and uncle were happy to get sponsored.” Tula fiddled with her fingers feeling sad for not helping and watching Ester seem unhappy.
Tula suddenly remembered something and said,” Ohh, we moved to a nicer house after that. Was that helpful?”
[Tula’s family could have received a new house, and Kass received these pricey items in exchange for some kind of service or some kind of vassal system unique to this world.]
-Yes, maybe that’s why the armor had a lions head engraving on the chest armor, shield, and the cape with a golden lions head embroidery.-
.....
[This world is quite fascinating.]
Vincent nodded, agreeing with her words. He grabbed the three small ordinary bags with money in them and said, “We have thirty-three copper coins, thirty-five silver coins, two golden coins, and one hollowed silver coin.”
“Can we buy a lot of fish?” Lupa quickly said with her lips showing a hint of drool, ready to fall at the possibility of the different kinds of fish she could taste.
“Yes, that’s a lot of money. I believe a typical small wooden house could cost around fifty silver as a starting point in a town. As for fish, they might cost ten or more copper coins each, depending on if they are local or imported.” Ester informed, causing Lupa to reveal a drooling smile.
“Clean your mouth. Isn’t it better to buy a house for ourselves to live in? We would sleep on comfy beds and rest how much we want rather than buy fish and live outside in the danger of the wildlife.” Vincent’s words caused Lupa to remember the promise he made to her.
“Fish... I don’t need fish if we can have a mating place.” Lupa crossed her arms and nodded. She tried to act as if she wasn’t hungry anymore, yet her tail wagged along with her lustful emotions.
“Yey, then I could visit my big sisters and brother to play.” Tula enthusiastically said.
But unlike the childish Tula, Ester understood the lustful wolf girl’s words. She averted her gaze with a pair of red cheeks when her eyes met with Vincent’s.
[Haha, one is waiting to make out, and the other one is being cutely shy. This combo is quite entertaining to watch.]
“Ahem...” Vincent cleared his throat to change the subject; his cheeks were slightly red.
“Ester will be in charge of the clothes with the Gender Bound Bag Of Holding. I will keep the other items in my Soul Storage for safekeeping.” Vincent planed.
Ester nodded and rushed to grab the small grey bag. She started to store all the clothes to hide her embarrassed reddened cheeks.
Vincent and Kazumi noticed how the items could only be stored one after the other instead of simultaneously processing the storing process. The stored seemed much slower than his Soul Dimensional Storage as well.
Vincent wanted to store the other items on the ground. He desired to upgrade his Soul Dimensional Storage, but he didn’t have enough Soul Power to try.
Vincent touched the items. They dematerialized into green shining mana particles as they hovered in the air and later entering into Vincent’s hands much faster than the Bag Of Holding storing speed.
