Stuck as a Villain!

Chapter 192: Questions

Chapter 192: Questions

The next day, early in the morning, Maydeath and Anabelle already had left for their hometowns since they were short on time.

Seth hired a carriage from the nearest town and began his journey toward the land ruled by Viscount Rommen Alfred; Laila's father.

The said pinkette was still sleeping peacefully while leaning on Seth.

He tried prying into her mind and checking on her health, but all he saw was a whirlwind of memories belonging to two different individuals. It was a rare case that was why Seth wasn't able to do anything to calm her down, and left everything to occur, naturally.

He could sense that the personalities of Kyouko and Laila were merging to situate inside this body and form a balanced soul. It was a complicated process even to talk about, as such, Seth decided to wait patiently.

'I should meet Princess Celine first after dropping Laila back home...' Seth had already sent a letter to Laila's father that he found her and would bring the girl back to them in a few days.

The reason he chose to meet Celine first since he wanted to ask some things about what happened back in the palace. Surely, he wasn't going to meet her for his selfish desire but to see her as well. God knows what may happen once these fourteen days go by, that's why he wanted to meet everyone dear to him.

Then there were Haruka and Serena as well, whom he wanted to see. But Seth decided to meet them after visiting his hometown. He needed to inform his mother about several things and prepare her for the possible upcoming war.

The mindset with which Seth has been preparing until now would have to change after he visited that palace. He has to make several changes and prepare Keith enough to handle the Duchy in the absence of their Mother and him.

"Mmm..." Laila's groan plucked him out of his daze as Seth turned to look at her.

Rubbing her eyes, she let out a small yawn before stretching her arms like a cat. Her bosom stuck out which caught Seth's attention for a fleeting moment before he returned his gaze back to the outside scenery.

"Where...ah!" Laila jumped in surprise upon finding Seth beside her, and as a consequence, she hit her head against the roof of the carriage.

"Ou..." With her left eye closed, she rubbed the spot where it hurt.

"Sit down. The carriage is cramped." Seth's authoritative voice made her flinch before she nodded and immediately took the seat beside him.

This carriage was the best one available in the town but still, compared to the royal carriage, Seth was used to traveling in, this one offered almost half of the space.

Seth took out a container of water from the storage and handed it to her.

"T-Thank you..." Laila took the container and gulped four mouthfuls of water as she heard him asking,

"How is your health now? Any abnormalities? Nausea or dizziness?" Hearing Seth's concern for her made Laila blink in surprise as she dumbly stared at him for a good ten seconds.

However, noticing his frown she instantly shook her head, and informed honestly, "N-No, nothing like that. Thanks for asking..." Laila gulped some more water to hide her embarrassment.

She really needs to have a grip on her emotions...

Seth remained silent at that, before he again asked, "And...about that entity...?" Seth was subtle with his query; unsure whether Laila knew about Kyouko's existence in her body or not.

However, hearing her following words, cleared his doubts,

"That person named Kyouko? I...know. She is still inside my head...eager to take over my consciousness any moment I lose control."

That definitely surprised Seth. He has never faced such a complicated case of split personality where two different souls share a single body.

Unaware of Seth's internal conflicting and curious thoughts, Laila continued,

"She is restless...like she wants to see something...explore something and do anything rather than staying idle. Quite a headache to say the least."

There was genuine frustration on her visage as Laila pinched the bridge of her nose while grumbling about the individual residing in her head.

"Is it unbearable?" Hearing Seth's query, a small smile blossomed on her face before she shook her head,

"No, it's quite fine. And I think, as time goes by, this feeling would get suppressed even further."

Seth nodded in understanding. While he didn't like the idea of having Kyouko overtaking Laila's consciousness, there was nothing he could do to change it as well.

If those Heaven residents have decided no one but Laila to shoulder the responsibility of the sixth Hero, then there must be a reason.

"Can you switch places with her, Laila?" Seth wanted to understand everything about this split personality thingy, that's why he asked in a casual manner.

He wanted to understand whether Kyouko was under Laila's control or if some sort of situation was needed to trigger Kyouko's soul.

"...I guess...but please promise me...whatever she tells or does to you......you won't get upset with me" Laila's eyes watered as she pleaded.

It seemed, she got access to Kyouko's memory which was why she was in such distress.

Seth inwardly chuckled and nodded for her assurance.

Laila still held some insecurities about this, but she didn't make him wait for long before closing her eyes and allowing her body to slump back on the seat.

Seth counted on his fingers and just at the fifth second, Laila's eyes, once again parted to reveal the yellow shade.

"Yooo~Ryuu-kun! Long time no see." The cheerful visage of Laila betrayed her natural self as Kyouko took over.

She casually made her way out on his lap and sat without any reservations.

"Damn, you look more handsome than before. Woo~ what's with those glasses?" Without taking his consent she took his glasses off and began inspecting them.

Yep, something that only Sekimoto Kyouko could do.

Seth heaved a deep sigh before he took his property away and asked the girl, "Kyouko, focus."

"Hai!" Kyouko gave a crisp salute to that.

"Now tell me, what do you know about that Messenger and those heaven residents?"

Seth knew that she knew something which none of the other five did. That was why he needed her cooperation.

Kyouko hummed a bit with her finger pressed against her chin, before she began,

"Well, I remember once when I was going through my second reincarnation that someone- damn! Look at my honkers~"

Seeing the girl, playing with her breasts, Seth sighed, once again.

'...I need to be patient with this one.'
