Chapter 78: Chapter 78 Flaming Giant Spider 3
Thus, an almost comical scene unfolded in the cave: Blaze Regret continuously dodged while the Flaming Giant Spider frantically chased him, the piercing clangs echoing throughout the cave.
"Boom!"
Blaze Regret's back slammed heavily against the wall. Finally, under the relentless assault of the Flaming Giant Spider, his retreat was completely cut off. On either side of him, fiery spider webs hung in the air, ready to engulf him in flames should he make a single move.
The Flaming Giant Spider's eyes mocked Blaze Regret as it measured him with its slender legs. Suddenly, it made a half moon arc, thrusting straight towards Blaze Regret's abdomen.
As the sharp leg came within half an inch of his body, a relaxed smile spread across Blaze Regret's face.
"If you don't want the Heavenly Flame Crystal Milk anymore, you can kill me now."
Hearing this, the Flaming Giant Spider's pupils contracted. It quickly glanced behind, only to see a blazing sun floating above the Heavenly Flame Crystal Milk Pool, seeming as if it could explode at any moment.
"Humph!"
Gently stroking the blazing sun with its cat paw, Red raised its head towards the Flaming Giant Spider, its face full of threatening intent.
The Flaming Giant Spider's eyes flickered with uncertainty. It couldn't fathom how Red had managed to break through its fiery web and reach the Heavenly Flame Crystal Milk Pool.
Although the fiery web was a skill it had mastered at the lower worrior level, it was now at the middle warrior level. Even spirit beasts of the same tier would be momentarily trapped in the web, let alone a mere Scorching Flame Cat.
Glancing at the Heavenly Flame Crystal Milk Pool, the Flaming Giant Spider felt a sense of helplessness. After pondering for a moment, it reluctantly lowered its sharp legs.
If it weren't for the Heavenly Flame Crystal Milk, it would still be lingering at the lower warrior level. By continuing to consume the Heavenly Flame Crystal Milk, it could eventually ascend to the higher warrior level. That temptation far outweighed the desire to kill two insects.
As the shadow before him slowly receded, Blaze Regret smiled calmly. Red's claws, after being strengthened by the Blazing Blade Flower, could easily tear through even lower warrior level spirit beasts, let alone the Flaming Giant Spider's hastily formed web.
Had it been a fully formed fiery web, they would likely have been trapped unless a Master Magi intervened. Clearly, the Flaming Giant Spider had underestimated Red.
"You, go to the corner," Blaze Regret instructed, pointing to the farthest side.
A flash of anger crossed the Flaming Giant Spider's face. It glanced at the Heavenly Flame Crystal Milk, then slowly crawled towards the corner. Each step, it angrily stabbed its legs into the ground, causing the fiery snakes in the pool to retreat in fear.
"Come here!"
The Heavenly Crystal Flame in Blaze Regret's palm flickered gently as he walked to the entrance of the cave and called out.
"Humph!"
With a wave of its Cat paw, the blazing sun darted to a wall, blasting a sizable crater into it. Red hopped over to Blaze Regret's side and bared its teeth at the Flaming Giant Spider in the corner.
"Let's go."
Seeing no signs of the Flaming Giant Spider charging at them, Blaze Regret breathed a sigh of relief. If it had fought desperately, it would have been a tough battle for both him and Red, especially since this was the spider's territory.
Picking up the rope from the ground, Blaze Regret retraced his steps and quietly stopped at the entrance of the mountain peak.
"Master Magi, is it alright for Red to refine the Heavenly Crystal Flame here?" Blaze Regret tapped the void realms stone and whispered.
Like a wisp of white mist, Master Magi floated out and hovered in mid air. His eyes narrowed slightly, and with a hand gesture, a golden halo spread in all directions.
Instantly, everything within the halo's range, including the scenery within the rocks, was vividly displayed before Blaze Regret.
Having witnessed Master Magi's abilities many times, Blaze Regret was no longer surprised by this miraculous scene.
"There are no spirit beasts here. It's very safe," Master Magi nodded.
Blaze Regret slowly crouched down and extended his palm to Red, who lightly touched it with its claws, letting out a delighted whimper.
Fire attributed spiritual objects naturally have an irresistible attraction to fire attributed spirit beasts.
"Speaking of which, if Red breaks through, I'll soon become a spirit warrior too."
The reflection of Red danced in Blaze Regret's pupils, and a faint smile appeared on his face.
Under the lush Nine Mystic Trees, two figures busily worked, carefully picking Nine Mystic leaves and placing them into the void realms stone.
"Sis, why hasn't that guy come back yet? Could he have been eaten by a spirit beast?"
Twiddling a green Nine Mystic leaves between his fingers, Sky Nasrul glanced into the distance and muttered.
"Did he provoke you that much for you to wish such a fate on him?"
Sky Diana straightened up, wiping the fragrant sweat from her forehead with her snow white hand, smiling wryly.
Rolling his eyes, Sky Nasrul was about to say something when his expression suddenly changed. With a twist of his hand, he swiftly outlined a summoning array in front of him, and the wind elemental, which had mostly recovered, roared out.
"Who's sneaking around? Show yourself!"
Sky Diana's gaze also sharpened, and several light green wind blades appeared out of thin air, ready to shoot out at a wave of her wind element hand.
"Hehe, so it's the beautiful Miss Sky."
Two figures slowly emerged from the forest a dozen meters away. The youth in front looked at the serious faced Sky Diana and smiled lightly.
Standing beside him was none other than Black Metal, with a gloomy and cold expression.
"Black Metal, Hat Tu?"
Black Metal's brow furrowed, and he sneered, "Black Metal, your Rage Flame Wolf is already crippled. Are you here to die? And you, Hat Tu, don't tell me you want us to hand over the void realms stone too."
