Strongest Spirit Beast Master Family

Chapter 120: Chapter 120 Flame Sun Fish

"Phew!"

Blaze Regret sighed lightly, picked up the rock that got broken from the fight, and doodled a turtle on the Lava Octopus's round body, erasing the head afterward. Only then did he clap his hands in satisfaction and walk deeper into the passage.

Deep within the passage, the fire light gradually faded. The fire crystal walls here were dim, and it was the same even deeper inside.

Several mushroom caps, resembling round lids, were tightly attached to the Fire crystal walls. Wisps of flame light streamed into their bodies.

"Master Magi, are these the Rock Mushroom Spirit beasts?" Blaze Regret's gaze swept over these peculiar creatures as he curiously asked.

"Indeed, Rock Mushroom Spirit beasts. They are rock type spirit beasts that are naturally drawn to Fire crystals. Through the tempering of the Fire crystal's energy, their bodies become even tougher," Master Magi said with a faint smile as he flipped through a tattered book.

Blaze Regret smacked his lips lightly, a hint of excitement emerging in his eyes. Rock Mushroom Spirit beasts were also high level spirit beasts, and they seemed much stronger than the Wind Barbarian Bears. If he could take them out and sell them somewhere, he wouldn't have to worry about money for a short time.

He brushed his hand across his waist, and a spirit realms stone appeared in his hand. Blaze Regret infused it with his spirit energy, causing a Blue light to emanate and envelop one of the Rock Mushroom Spirit beasts.

"Why isn't it working?" Blaze Regret furrowed his brows in confusion as he watched the Rock Mushroom Spirit beast remain completely still.

"Of course not. Do you think they are young spirit beast, with no sense of resistance?" Master Magi shook his head with a wry smile. With a wave of his hand, a golden blade of light flashed out, slicing through the Fire crystal wall to which the Rock Mushroom Spirit beasts were attached.

Seeing this, Blaze Regret quickly infused his spirit energy into the spirit realms stone again. This time, a flash of earth yellow light appeared, and the rapidly shrinking Rock Mushroom Spirit beast was swiftly absorbed into the spirit realms stone. The small crystal in the center of the spirit stone turned to a color resembling rock.

With a joyful expression, Blaze Regret hurriedly took out the remaining spirit realms stones and collected all the Rock Mushroom Spirit beasts, a total of four.

"Could this be the end?" Blaze Regret looked towards the depths of the passage, where a pitch black Fire crystal wall stood.

"How could it be? We're just getting started," Master Magi chuckled and shook his head. He then placed his hand on the Fire crystal wall and applied a little force. Instantly, the pitch black Fire crystal wall shattered like fragile glass.

"Wow!"

As soon as the Fire crystal wall at the end shattered, a scorching wave of heat surged forward, causing Blaze Regret's robe to flutter wildly.

"So hot," Blaze Regret muttered, wiping away the sweat that trickled down his face. Despite the heat, a sense of joy welled up within him. There was no doubt that the depths of this fire source mine were a paradise for fire type spirit beasts.

With a flick of his remaining spirit realms stone, four glowing Night Feather Fireflies emerged, their wings as thin as cicada wings fluttering as they flew out, illuminating the dark pit.

Taking a deep breath, Blaze Regret followed the four Night Feather Fireflies deeper into the fire source mine. Behind him, the Red continued to hop and sputter, releasing the remaining violent energy of the Black Flame Mud.

"Tap! Tap!"

Hot flame particles swept in from deeper within, and in the quiet passage, only the soft sound of their footsteps echoed.

"Damn!"

Focused on the path ahead, Blaze Regret suddenly found himself stepping into thin air, nearly falling. Regaining his balance, he looked down and his eyes widened in shock.

Below was a vast cavern with scalding magma flowing slowly, white mist rising from its surface. Only a few protruding rocks were not covered by the magma.

Swallowing hard, cold sweat instantly beaded on Blaze Regret's forehead. If he fell, he would either be crushed to death or scalded alive by the magma.

"Having fun?" Master Magi asked, arms crossed, a mocking smile on his lips.

Blaze Regret could only roll his eyes in response.

After a moment of contemplation, Blaze Regret took a rope out of his void realms stone. But as soon as it dangled down, a flame ignited at its end, quickly racing up and turning the entire rope to ashes in an instant.

"How are we supposed to get down there?" Blaze Regret asked helplessly, shrugging as he watched the ashes scatter in the air.

"At critical moments, your master has to step in."

Master Magi smiled faintly and flicked his finger. A golden energy shield instantly enveloped Blaze Regret and the Red, slowly lowering them downwards.

"It won't get burned, will it?" Blaze Regret poked the energy shield, his face full of apprehension.

Hearing this, Master Magi glanced at Blaze Regret, feeling slightly insulted.

"Sss!"

The golden energy shield landed on the magma and sank slightly before floating on the surface.

With a wave of his hand, Master Magi propelled the energy shield forward, creating a long trail across the magma as if it were water.

"Snap!"

A clear collision sound echoed as a ripple spread across the surface of the energy shield. Blaze Regret turned around in shock, only to see a fish, glowing with flames, fall back into the magma. It was evident that this creature had just collided with the energy shield.

"Flame Sun Fish, it only grows in magma. If consumed by a fire type spirit beast, it can enhance its spiritual power. Conversely, if the Flame Sun Fish consumes a fire type spirit beast, its own strength will increase substantially," Master Magi explained calmly.

"Whoosh!"

As soon as Master Magi finished speaking, a much larger Flame Sun Fish, dozens of times bigger than the previous one, leaped out of the magma before falling back in. Its appearance suggested it had already reached the ninth rank mid level warrior grade!
