Chapter 107: Chapter 107 Departure (Bonus 1)
In the VIP room behind the Angsana Pavilion Auction House, Alif Azlin looked at Blaze Ash, who was sitting there with a cold expression. A bitter smile involuntarily appeared at the corners of her lips.
"Then just tell Mut Abu that I killed Mat Kun, and see if he dares to protect him."
After a moment of silence, Blaze Ash's icy voice slowly emerged.
As Blaze Ash's voice echoed, Alif Azlin's beautiful eyes blinked slightly, and she was momentarily lost in thought.
Mut Abu is the master of the Angsana Pavilion, a prominent figure even in the heart of the empire. Hearing this name from the mouth of a spirit Lord from a remote small city felt like a dream.
"You... know Master Mut?" Alif Azlin asked cautiously.
"Didn't Mut Abu tell you that when coming to Veloria City, you should first establish good relations with the Blaze family?" Blaze Ash raised his head and looked at Alif Azlin with a faint smile.
Pressing her red lips together, Alif Azlin smiled bitterly. No wonder Mut Abu had previously instructed her to take extra care of the Blaze family. It now seemed that he and Blaze Ash were old acquaintances.
"Alright, I just came over to say hello, to give that guy Mut Abu some face."
With that, Blaze Ash stood up and walked towards the door, his gaze filled with killing intent directed at the Batas Shop.
"Ah!"
Suddenly, a piercing scream resounded through the night, exceptionally loud.
"It's coming from the Batas Shop." Alif Azlin's pretty face changed slightly.
Moments later, Alif Azlin and Blaze Ash appeared in the attic of the Batas Shop, gazing at a bit of golden powder on the floor.
"It's the impurities produced after the wind attribute spirit portal shattered." Blaze Ash crouched down, rubbed the golden powder between his fingers, and wore an indescribable expression on his face.
"You mean, Mat Kun is already dead?" Alif Azlin covered her slightly parted lips with her delicate hand, her face filled with disbelief.
This was a spirit Lord, after all, and he was silently taken out in his own territory.
Standing up, Blaze Ash clasped his hands behind his back, his gaze slowly sweeping across the room until it rested on the teacup on the table.
"It's warm."
Alif Azlin gently touched it, her beautiful eyes flickering. "Including the shattered teacup, it means there were two people in this room just now."
"Mat Kun is dead, so what about the other person?" Alif Azlin felt a headache coming on and her eyes kept glancing at Blaze Ash.
"Don't look at me. If I wanted to kill him, I wouldn't need to do it secretly." Blaze Ash chuckled. He knew Alif Azlin suspected him, but with Mat Kun's mere third level spirit Lord strength, if Blaze Ash wanted to kill him, it wouldn't be this troublesome.
Thus, Mat Kun's death became an unsolved mystery, though in Blaze Ash's view, the guy deserved it.
At the fifth watch, all the bewildered staff in the Batas Shop were cleared out by people from the Batas Shop. The entire shop was completely sealed off, with no one allowed to enter.
In the courtyard, Ice Control Irenix gently fluttered her wings, and Blaze Regret slid down from her back.
"Hehe, that was exciting."
Blaze Regret returned to his room, closed the doors and windows, took off his shoes, and jumped directly onto the bed, roughly rubbing Red's head. "You missed out by not seeing it. That was a spirit Lord, turned to ash in an instant."
Bleary eyed, Red glanced at Blaze Regret, who looked excited. With a flick of its Cat paw, it push Blaze Regret's hand away, uninterested, and closed its eyes, immediately falling back to sleep.
"It's just a spirit Lord, no need to get so worked up." Master Magi shook his head with a faint smile, then resumed flipping through the tattered book in his hands, producing a rustling sound as if he would never finish reading it.
"Can't be bothered with you."
Blaze Regret lay on the bed, hands behind his head, a determined look suddenly appearing in his eyes.
He had thought that being a spirit Lord was already strong enough, but in Master Magi's hands, there was no chance to resist. It seemed that even a spirit Lord wasn't enough on this continent.
"I have to become even stronger."
Blaze Regret mumbled to himself and unknowingly fell asleep.
When Blaze Regret woke up, it was broad daylight. Warm sunlight streamed in, casting its glow on his face.
"Do you need to inform your father?"
Looking at Blaze Regret packing his things, Master Magi asked softly.
After placing the last item into the Void Realms stone, Blaze Regret washed his face and shook his head. "Leaving a note will be enough. Even if my father agrees, the Second Elder definitely won't."
Master Magi's secret was something he couldn't share. With the Second Elder's personality, he definitely wouldn't allow Blaze Regret to go out alone for training, which would only lead to more trouble.
"Finally leaving, huh."
Blaze Regret patted Red's little head, as if to encourage himself. "I wonder how much I'll have grown by the time I return. I can't wait."
With a light smile, Blaze Regret left a note on the table. As usual, he walked out of the Blaze family gate, greeting Blaze Tut and the others stationed there with a smile.
Blending into the crowd, Blaze Regret's face, hidden by a black robe, did not draw anyone's attention.
Three hours later, Blaze Regret was walking on an unfamiliar road. Here, there were no Four Great Families, nor the Angsana Pavilion Auction House. Everything familiar had disappeared.
"Beep!"
Suddenly, the sound transmission shell at Blaze Regret's waist flashed with a red light.
"Regret'er, two years from now is the day the Spirit Master Competition starts in Veloria City. Remember to come back."
Blaze Ash's familiar voice made Blaze Regret's nose tingle with emotion. He raised his hand slightly, seemingly nonchalant, and tossed the sound transmission shell into the void Realms stone. His young figure disappeared at the end of the road.
